Had a great time staying at Ibis budget Agadir. We stayed for 8 nights. A special thank you to Rachid for always going the extra mile when trying to help and Leila both at the reception desk. Leila solved many issues for me and found a solution. She made our stay pleasant and easy. The shower is great. You can tell you are staying in an international major brand Ibis. The decor was great. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but everything tasted great. Overall great value and we would definately consider staying her again. We had 2 rooms. Next door has a great cafe and a mini mart. The only downside is taxis. The area is being constructed at present, so to get a taxi it would be best to ask reception to call you a taxi. Apparently it is a fixed rate of 50 dirhams for a petit taxi anywhere in Agadir, or you can cross the main road and try to find a taxi. 50 dirhams is a good rate for anywhere in Agadir. The beach is about a 20-25 drive (promenade). There is a kids club about 10 mins walk away. my suggestion to Ibis, make a better deal with the taxi company for a petit and grande taxi with a fixed rate, because you have to cross a highway to try and hail a taxi. so a taxi grande return from the promenade was the same price for a 1 triple room stay. about 300 dirhams. Maybe slightly less. There was many hotel stays with cars. The hotel is also only 10 drive from the main souk. if Ibis can get a fixed rate of 50 dirhams for a petit and 100 dirhams for a grande i think this makes it a more better deal. but overall great stay and actually become very comfortable in this hotel. So Ibis budget definitely worth considering
Hôtel Riad Salam Agadir

I'm not going to waste time repeating any of the 1,872 positive review points on *********** for the Hotel Riad Salam as all the positive points are repeatedly mentioned by reviewers are true! After staying 4 nights I was completely satisfied with the service provided! Nothing was, too much trouble for the English speaking reception staff - even the house keeping lady spoke English so there was no difficulty in obtaining the ”extra towel”!!! 😂  There isn't a swimming pool here (but the Atlantic Ocean is only 6 minutes away by taxi!!! 😂). It's also a 20 minute walk to the nearest bar if you want an alcoholic drink!!!  But if you really cannot exist without a swimming pool and bar then why choose to come to Morocco in the first place!!!  But a visit to Dadas Wine Store has everything you need at very reasonable prices and enjoy a cooling drink in the privacy of your own hotel room - remember this is a predominantly Muslim country so as guests we should respect this!  With over 45 countries under my belt over the years, the Hotel Riad Salam is now on the list of ”Top 10” hotels I've stayed at! 👏 I don't need fancy ”Swan Towels”  on the bed or beautiful shaded lamps on the bedside table!!! I just need a comfortable hotel that I can have a good night's sleep in whilst I explore Agadir and the surrounding areas! The Hotel Riad Salamticks all these boxes!! 👍 Breakfast is not included at this hotel but 20 metres away is a fantastic cafe serving a variety of ”breakfasts” and a special ”Fridays only” couscous!!!! 😂.  The normal hotel constraints for breakfast between 0730-0900 are gone here - get up and have breakfast for £2-£3  at a time that suits you - this sets you up for the rest of the day!!  Behind the hotel on the left hand side are a variety of small supermarkets and ”Snack Tata” that does a great selection of ”take away meals” and only 5 minutes from the hotel!!!  The biggest souk in Africa is also only 5 minutes away with over 3,000 shops!!! 😂 Whatever you need from fresh fruits to the famous Argan oil products Souk El Had is a great place to spend a few hours browsing!  Of course, most visitors come to Agadir for the beach and sea! The Hotel Riad Salam is just on the southern edge of the city map in the Bradt Guide but don't be fooled that it's ”too far away”!!!! 😂  Every 15 minutes, the L22 bus will take you 4 stops to it's terminus and then it's an 8 minutes walk to the beach - all for 4 dirham (30p)!!! If you really want to ”splash out” you can flag down one of the numerous taxis that pass the hotel front and they will take you in 6 minutes even closer to the beach for the exorbitant price of 11 dirham (85p!) for up to 3 people!! 😂  The area in the vicinity of Hotel Riad Salam is definitely ”real Morocco” located well away from the overpriced hotels and restaurants found at every seaside resort nearer the beach! For the more adventurous, scooter and car hire can be obtained from Ali Baba Cars - just 15 minutes walk away!! We re
