We literally shedded a tear when we left (had to leave) this amazing hotel after a stay of a little over a week. The strongest asset of this wonderfully located hotel with a spectacular view are its people. We felt at home and so to speak part of the family from the very moment we checked in. The team is utterly wonderful, very very friendly, helpful, polite and pro-active with any questions we had. We got great recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. I do not think we ever received so much kindness and smiles from any hotel staff EVER. Truly amazing and heartwarming The room we booked was rather compact but very cosy and had everything we needed, including a balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the magnificent Aegean Sea and overlying peninsula of Sithonia. We enjoyed the sunrise a few times and spotted dolphins, which was magical. The property has a restaurant called Tuna, serving brunch, lunch, snacks and dinner. The choice is ample enough. They also offer daily specials. We rented their in-house boat for a day to go all the way to the southernmost tip of Kassandra peninsula which was great. The staff provided drinks and snacks to take on board. It is quite difficult to say anything negative about this hotel. If we had to mention two it would be that the building could use some small repairs here and there and that the pool area lacks space and beds for all the guests, creating the often very irritating and rather selfish rush for a pool bed as early as 6:00am(!). Not nice. The thing is that the walk to the beach is quite a stretch as the hotel is situated on top of the cliff. Then again, this has the advantage that the hotel is only a 2-minute walk away from the main streets of the charming village of Afitos with a myriad of restaurants, bars and shoped. Our stay was memorable and if we are to visit this area of Greece again in the future we will definitely be back!
