Colter's Lodge

We TRIED to stay at Coulter's. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon, NO ONE at the desk. There was a sign that directed patrons to call a number for a manager that was on call 24/7. No answer. I stepped into the restaurant and asked if they knew if there was anyone to around to help us. 3 girls seriously looked like a deer in the headlights and could not give me an answer. As I was trying to call the number again, two women came out and offered to help us. After 10 very painful minutes of one of the women trying to enter our information online, we were no closer to being registered. We asked when they expected the manager who could help us and they said she should be there in an hour. We left and did some shopping and got back in excess of an hour, still no manager or desk help. We said we would wait in the bar and one of the women who tried to help earlier said she would send the manager to get us. Another hour went by, no manager. No call back. We decided to stay somewhere else. On the way to our other motel, was when the manager called and asked why I called. I know I left a detailed message on her voice mail that explained our wish to stay at this motel. What a horrible way to run a business. Also, while we were waiting in the bar, my husband stood at the bar to order anther round, and it was like he was invisible to the bartender, who was too busy socializing with her friends seated at the bar. I looked at my watch when he got up to order and it was 7 minutes before he got back to our table. POOR POOR customer service all around.
Fairfield Inn & Suites Afton Star Valley
4.6/579 Reviews
This is an average recently built Fairfield inn. Definitely more on the budget side than some of the other new Fairfields I've been in, that have larger rooms and better finishes. And like most new hotels, this one has terrible soundproofing. It's not a matter of hearing noise from the hallway coming in through your door. It's a matter of being able to hear the guests on both sides of you through the walls. Anyway, front desk staff was pleasant but declined Marriott status room upgrade. Room itself was certainly fresh and new and everything worked well. Little bit of a view of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was your average free Fairfield inn stuff. Would have really appreciated if the woman working the kitchen would have worn a mask. Anyway, little Afton does have some charm and a few decent restaurants, and this hotel is certainly the best show in town.
Townhomes on the Green

Excellent choice for our stay. The townhome we were in was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, easy to rest. Plenty of space in the kitchenette, and comfortable seating areas. The grounds were kept very well, with nice common space if you want to barbecue or picnic out. Our unit was far enough off the highway that we didn’t even notice the proximity. Other members of our party with units closer to the highway, still said they didn’t even notice. They must be very well insulated! We were in a smaller unit personally. But other family members had larger units. They were all beautiful! Very accommodating to the number of people indicated. Nothing negative to share at all. I highly recommend this choice for overnighting in this location.
Kodiak Mountain Resort

This is MOUNTAIN RESORT, it is really next to the mountain, close to the road, it can be considered very biased, not far from a farm town, the town is not big, but there are two large and magnificent churches, said to be Mormon church. The hotel is very similar to the resorts of some corrupt projects in China. It is like a Chinese investment. The resort has a total of 10 separate houses, large and small, the hotel reception is one of the smaller buildings, and there is a children's playground at the entrance. The house is like a wooden building, a spire, a house decoration, and an overall American country design. The facilities are not luxurious, but they are also very luxurious. All the computers are controlled, especially a real fire fireplace, burning gas, shortly after opening. The whole room is warm and there are also air conditioning units. The bathroom is large with a shower room inside and an open large tub outside. We didn't book a double bed, gave us a king-size bed room, and could sleep 2 adults plus 1 child. Overall, this is a very local but very special hotel.
