We were thrilled with an upgrade to a huge Club room on the 12th floor for our 11 nights.But did not see the Club itself. We had a huge excellent shower, large “egg” bath and separate WC . Large drawers, hanging rails, and baggage store. Dining table and two chairs. Fab bed of course, and great TV. The 2 huge windows are not double glazed and even on the high 12th floor there can be minor traffic noise. Rather OTT are the ?28 buttons for lighting control which were challenging! Three large lifts which need room card activation. The attractive pool is an excellent length with pool side shower and separate changing rooms.Gym next door on second floor. Everything in this new building is designer top quality but the light coloured floors are starting to mark. We were sorry that the main restaurant , apart from at breakfast, closed over most of our Xmas/New Year visit. The “Exchange Lane” restaurant which is perhaps even more attractive remained open, and room service was also swift. The ground floor with a few access doors is at first confusing. But there is more to come. The old Post Office rooms and space has not been opened/restored yet. We were sorry not to meet the Manager during our stay but the young, new staff, were efficient. Housekeeping sometimes arrived a bit late in the day.
