Hotel Suite Villa Maria

Resort is excellent the staff are friendly and most helpful. Immaculately clean. Excellent breakfast the omelettes are perfection. This was our third visit with thoroughly recommend. The Terrace bar is a lovely place to have a pre-dinner drink and the staff are so lovely we definitely recommend Villa Maria for a holiday.

We had the best holiday ever! So hard to beat, that we’ve booked again for next year. We booked a duplex 2 bedroom villa with jacuzzi as a family of 4. The rooms were spacious with plenty of storage. Kitchen well equipped with microwave, oven, hob and large fridge. Large bathrooms with good showers. Lovely outside space, with table and chairs, 2 sun loungers, and sofa. Also an upstairs terrace/balcony with lovely views and 2 comfy chairs. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We had an issue with being booked into the wrong room which was a shame but this was rectified on the 2nd day and we were compensated for this. Next year I will confirm room directly with the hotel before hand to make sure. Plenty of sun loungers in the communal areas (no need for anyone to reserve with their towels… on of my pet hates!). Pools were warm and there was a lifeguard on duty 10am - 6pm everyday. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing. Our children were in heaven (donuts, waffles, pastries, loads of lovely fruit, yoghurts, chocolate sauce etc). Also many breads, cold meats, salmon, and cooked breakfast items. Not to mention, juices and coffees were lovely too. And an actual fresh orange juicer. We walked to Calleta or Adeje most evening. It’s only half a mile up the hill from Caleta so really not a big walk unless you have mobility problems. There is also a general bus from the bottom of the hill to the bus station near Siam park (definitely worth a visit if you have children) in Adeje (only 6 euros one way for 4 people). The only negative I could honestly find was the beaches. But we compromised on that for the lovely hotel. We’re keen runners and found lots of running routes both road and off-road too.

The villas are what makes this place 5*. So well equipped, with beautiful decor, comfortable indoor and outdoor furniture. There's nothing not to like. We used our villa and garden (with Jacuzzi) every day. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The pool is also very nice and mostly quiet. Never had an issue finding sunbeds at any time of day and there is a poolside snack bar for daytime refreshments. We never ate here during the day as we tended to eat at the villa for lunch if we weren't out for the day. Service is mostly excellent at this hotel. Most staff around the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The cleaning team always say hello and it makes a difference The hotel has the best of both worlds. However, I do believe slight improvements could be made to enhance the experience further. We ate at both restaurants in the evening and although the service and ambience was good, the food was quite underwhelming, especially for the price. I'd definitely recommend dining out in one of the lovely restaurants in La Caleta instead. There is a rooftop bar. The barman is great and makes lovely cocktails. There was a DJ on some (but not all) evenings. This created a nice atmosphere on those nights. It was empty at other times. The hotel did feel exceptionally quiet most of the time, so I do feel some further evening entertainment, such as live music might go a long way to improving the atmosphere. There is a plaza next to reception that is the focal point of the hotel, but this also seems under utilised. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would consider staying here again. With improvements to the food in the restaurants and a few more evening entertainment options, it could be even better.

Second visit and equally as impressed. The villas are lovely and spacious, we requested one in a quiet area and that’s what had, perfect. The staff certainly make you feel very welcome. In a morning at breakfast met with a smile and greeted by all the waiting staff. The BlueOasis at lunchtime was great, highly recommend the Goat Cheese Salad. Once again all the staff were welcoming and attentive. The new terrace bar in the evening is a great new addition and the barman a real asset, even remembered our names and our drinks after our first visit. My only recommendations are more sockets in the Villas, we only had three which were one in the kitchen and one each bathroom which wasn’t ideal. Make the top pool adults or adults and infants only. This is an ideal location for a multi-age family group. The wonderful swimming pools with inflatable play equipment, the play area, free kids club and relaxed dining at the Blue Lagoon as well as the sumptuous breakfast options were ideal. The separate villa arrangement meant that each of our 3 families had their own space too, and the accommodation was spacious, well equipped and beautifully appointed as you would expect in a 5 star resort. Added to all this the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We would certainly recommend.

We really enjoyed our time at Hotel Suite Villa Maria. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa/townhouse, it was spacious and beautifully decorated. It was a great location as it was right near the pool (villa 32) The welcome when we arrived with a drink and a golf cart to take us and our luggage was a lovely touch. All our interactions with the staff were good, they are so helpful and polite. The pools were brilliant, there are some pool activities like water polo and a foam party but it isnt overbearing, just enough to bring a little fun and there is no pressure to join in. Breakfast is very good, there have everything you could want. We went to la caleta for meals most evenings, we really enjoyed tapas at la tapita. It is a very steep uphill walk back to the hotel, but it did us good with all the food being eaten! We would definitely return. Its convenient in that it is near enough by taxi to the main part of costa adeje, siam park etc but so nice to be in a quieter part. Highly recommend
