Hovima Jardin Caleta

When we arrived in the night after a long day we were horrified at the room and comments made by people in the bar. After a good nights sleep things looked totally different. The room was tired and shabby but spotlessly clean. Good shower. The pool area is lovely. The restaurant is fine, lots of choice you can always find something you like. The staff are really friendly. The bar is ok, not a lot of choice of spirits. There was entertainment most evening’s some better than others but it was fine. Rooms were cleaned 5 days out of the 7 There isn’t a lot to do in the area mostly fish restaurants but the bus was every 20 mins to the next resort, very cheap and regular. After what we thought was a disaster we had a great time.

We have had a fantastic holiday. The staff here are so friendly, welcoming and work so hard to ensure you have a great holiday. The rooms are spotlessly clean, good selection of food and no problems getting a sun bed! The area is just stunning and we were lucky enough to have a balcony with a beautiful sea view. You could never tire of seeing that view - we really don’t want to go home ! Thank you to all at Hotel Jardin Caleta for a wonderful holiday we hope to return some day .

5 good points: 1. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. They were all so kind to my children 2. The kids loved the pools. It was never too packed and there’s a lifeguard a few hours per day. It felt safe 3. La Caleta, where the hotel is, is beautiful, with a beach across the road 4. The one bed apt is enough space for 2 adults and 2 children, with kids on the sofa beds and adults in the bedroom 5. Ample food selection, including child friendly options like plain pasta and chips, fried English breakfast, they even have brown sauce 5 negative points: 1. Virgilio, who works mainly on the bars is cold and unfriendly. Avoided serving customers and pretended to sort the bar a few times 2. There were some cockroaches occasionally found around the hotel. They were mostly dead so they obviously treat them. It’s hot and humid so not that unusual 3. The bin trucks are very loud and come round at silly o clock in the morning 4. More of a mistake on our part but…it was too hot and we didn’t get aircon 5. Cleaners don’t come round every single day. Not a huge issue, but it meant we found a roach in our room one evening. That freaked me out a bit as we don’t tend to get them in the uk Overall, with a 3 and 6 year old, I would recommend, for this budget. We had a lovely holiday and the negative points did not ruin it for us.

Stayed here in May and appears to have got even better. We’re not ones for sitting by the pool all day but if you are get up early. If you are a couple there are beds on the roof terrace complete with jacuzzi which is never overcrowded. Hotel in a nice quieter area but if you’re looking for action only a short bus ride away. Great view from the room on the top floor with a remote controlled sunshade

We have just come back from a 9 night stay at hovima jardin caleta, and we have had the best time, there wasn’t anything we could complain about, we had 3 rooms between our family and they were all lovely rooms and had everything you needed in them, especially the executive room, we stayed bed and breakfast, there were a good variety of food for breakfast, the hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us, the hotel it’s self was in such a picturesque location, in a quiet area of Adeje with a supermarket next door that literally sold everything, which was perfect for us, we walked into Adeje a few times and it was roughly a 30-40 minute walk but it was such a beautiful walk, there’s always bars to stop off at too on the way, if your not feeling walking we did also get a taxi which was roughly 8-10 euros and took about 10 minutes which reception book for you, the pool area was lovely, very tidy and clean, and there were never a rush to get a bed which is always a bonus, all in all we had such a perfect holiday, would definitely recommend.

The hotel has to be the worst we stayed in the only thing good about it were the views. The entertainment was on 9pm till 10pm and that was all. There was nothing for the children to do apart from mean how bored they were. We were 40 mins away from adeje but had a nice scenic walk. The rooms were basic and dirty. Rhe pool said 3 pools but was actually one pool with 3 sections. The food....was inedible. The rice was stone cold the meat was always pork or rabbit with very limited choice. The kids selection was nuggets. Stone cold and no choice in anything.we had to eat out every meal as we just couldn't eat anything. Although we paid for all inclusive. The reps told us it was usually used for the training centrre next door and not family's. The friendliest people were the cleaners apart from one bar man and the male receptionist. Never been so disappointed on a holiday..
