Quality Inn

I recently stayed at the Quality Inn, located at the border of West Virginia and Ohio, during a drive from North Carolina to Illinois. We chose this hotel because it was the only available option in the vicinity, and I was too exhausted to drive for another hour as it was already late at night. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The motel was smelly, and the blankets and bed sheets were stained and dirty. We checked in at midnight and quickly requested a blanket change due to the unbearable stench. The motel associate provided us with washed sheets and blankets after 1:30 AM. Only after this could we get some sleep. The next morning, we decided to try the included breakfast before continuing our journey. However, we could not finish our meal due to the poor quality. The food was tasteless, and we found human hairs in most of the dishes, which was extremely off-putting. We ended up leaving the food on the table. In summary, the Quality Inn had everything but quality. I would recommend staying away from this shady hotel.

First off, the attendant at the front desk was very friendly. The hotel is a little older and could use a little TLC, but the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. I really liked the way they serve breakfast, with real plates and silverware and an attendant who would take your order and bring you your food, like a restaurant. Alicia was our attendant and she did a great job! I had oatmeal, fresh fruit, toast and yogurt. My husband had bacon and eggs and toast. I asked about the eggs, as one review said they were terrible. He said they were probably powdered but not bad. The bacon looked really good. So for a quick overnight stay, I would recommend this place. It has a sort of 70's feel to it, reminded me of hotels I stayed at then, and I liked that. I also used the treadmill in the gym and it was a good one.

Will not stay here again. Hallways smell like cigarette smoke. Room & sheets had a different bad smell. Not thoroughly cleaned. As far as breakfast - pancakes, bacon, and fruit good. You do not want the eggs or sausage. Water has bad taste so you don't want tea or coffee. Just avoid this hotel altogether.

Roberta at front desk was very welcoming as was the hostess who served breakfast. It’s not a true continental breakfast. There is a list of items to choose from and they serve you. The hotel shows its age, but it was clean with comfortable beds and good water pressure. The hotel is very near fast food as well as sit down restaurants (ie Bob Evans). My only complaint is that I needed to give my door a shoulder shove to get it open. And if you want a pool, the pool is not open (don’t know if this is a permanent thing or not).

Stopped in for needed rest on a long trip. Room was very clean staff was friendly. I had dinner in the dining room regular diner fare reasonably priced. My major disappointment was that there was no breakfast in the morning. Apparently, the server had gotten sick. I think a refuns of maybe $5 or lots of bonus points should have been given to make up for the guests having to go out and buy breakfast elsewhere.

We came to town for the Mothman Festival, options are limited in this area but I will not be returning. Our non smoking room smelled like an ash tray, there was even a cigarette burn hole on the comforter. The bedding was all wrinkled and smelled. The bed was wobbly and very uncomfortable. The pillows were wadded up balls of worst night of sleep ever. No housekeeping cleaned the room and we needed to go get our own clean towels. The phone didn't work, the room is in general disrepair including a Crack on the wall. The bathroom doesn't have a fan. The bartender/manager in the lounge was very unwelcoming on Saturday night, however, the bartender on Friday night was delightful. I hope she finds a better job because this place needs condemned!

This hotel is an older one. The decor is dated. The halls smell like cigarette smoke, but the room didn't. In a quiet area so no road traffic noise. Bed was fairly comfortable. They had the smaller, square pillows instead of full sized ones, but they were plump. The breakfast was nice. Made to order with a nice sit down area. It was good. There was an outdoor pool in the back in a large grassy area and not stuck in the parking lot area like so many hotels have. Friendly staff.

This is a very nice hotel. It is clean and the staff and even the guests are very friendly. We usually stay at the Hampton Inn down the road but the prices there were very high and the hotel is starting to show its age. The Quality Inn has been updated and it does show the love given by its staff. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. There are still a few areas showing some age, but no worse than any other hotel in the area. New carpet and flooring has been laid since our last visit. The breakfast is freshly prepared in their restaurant so it hasn’t been sitting out since 6am getting crusty. Items were fresh and tasty. The restaurant is very large so you don’t have to worry about sitting on a couch balancing your food on your lap. We had a wonderful experience at Quality Inn Gallipolis.

The price was good, the bed was ok, they have Wi-Fi with password. The king size room had a mini fridge, microwave, and comfy chair. Breakfast is not a grab and go but a sit down with a variety of choices. It ends promptly at 10am. The staff was pleasant and worked hard to keep things clean.
