Perfect location if you adore the night life, since there are a plenty of clubs, hotels and bars close to the hotel. The staff in general are very polite and friendly. I stayed for 2 days, and both days went great. I personally suggest everyone to get the road view, while booking the rooms.

The new hotel is relatively clean and noisy by the side of the road. The facilities are complete, and the front desk staff is very good. The worst is Chinese food. The Chinese restaurant on the negative floor has very few people and does not say how it tastes. The ingredients are really fresh and fishy. I do n’t know how long it took to make breakfast Chinese food and something to eat shredded potatoes. I really recommend buffet.

A nice hotel with amenities (hot water supply, bed comfort,Wi-Fi) in good shape. Also you can relax in the pool or enjoy the on-site spa. Room rate is significantly lower than other big name hotel brands in Addis Ababa.

The staff and waiters are more polite. They will say hello first when they meet. The buffet is more suitable for Chinese people. The room facilities are also better. It is a very cost-effective hotel abroad. The Chinese plug is still recommended.

freindship hotel great hotel provides pretty much what one would want from a hotel sauna &steam and gym ground floor . A spacious rooms a number of food and dining , and cleanliness. It had all of these characteristics . There are security watching the hotel 24 hours a day and friendly staff. The hotel manager is outstanding. You have a great view of the city.I will come back as it is one of the best in addis ababa.

I stayed here for almost a month. First week experience was unfortunate as I had to do quarantine for 7 days and the room was uncomfortable. It wasn’t as clean as it could have been at all. The window had no light which made it very hard to work online, especially when you have meetings and daily video meetings. The room was very very cold and no heaters. Some of the lamps didn’t work either, the lightning could be improved. This affected my work The construction opposite the window was quite creepy as it stole all the natural light away and it looks quite scary. During the first week, I was told different information by different staff which was confusing. Unfortunately my COVID results were late, which had me ending up extending my stay for future two days. However the staff did apologise and the manager personally contacted me few times. After the quarantine, I was moved into a much better and cleaner room, which allowed me to work online with good natural light and amenities in the room. Overall the staff was friendly, I could see the chefs cooking with hygiene measures and everyone practiced food hygiene , washing hands etc. Suggestions : I had someone call me at midnight during my first 7 days to say the laundry was ready. It freaked me out as the timing is unacceptable to call a guest at that time. Perhaps better training should be in place. Once I wanted to have a drink in the restaurant/bar and the waiter told me I should drink in my room. Later I saw other people drink in the bar. They should communicate with each other or with the manager to see what’s allowed or not. Staff should communicate more with each other for better understanding so they can inform customers the same thing and not different. The staff should understand that sometimes If the customer feels distressed, you need to acknowledge that and not excuse it. Perhaps because of COVID the rest of the hotel amenities were closed as I was told the bar on 9th floor is closed, there is no spa, the jewellery and gift shop was shut, the gym was not accessible. The location is in perfect location in Bole, close to restaurants and cafes. There is Infiniti cafe right next to the hotel which is great. Overall, I do think the staff were friendly and helpful and tried to help when they could. Some of the staff were extra kind and really reassuring such as one the staff in front desk who helped me change to the new room and directed me to Edna mall and helped with transport etc. Some of the wait staff were really friendly and always asked how I was and how my day was which was sweet and kind. The hotel is safe and secure with security measures. The manager also checked in few times and personally dropped me off to the airport which was reassuring and kind of him. I am hoping to come back soon and I will stay here again when I return to Addis .

It can be seen that this is a historic hotel, can see the glory of the year, and now the facilities are relatively old. If the high-rise building is better, the living quarters, the environment and facilities will be much worse. The breakfast was very rich and it was delicious. Dinner buffet, no drinks, price 40 dollars, not much stuff, no breakfast rich. In the hotel lobby, there is a place to drink traditional Ethiopian coffee, there are many shops on the first floor, the hotel has complete fitness facilities, gym, tennis, basketball, and many other venues. A lot of people outside come to work out.

Hello Hayat Regency Management, Overall, my experience was excellent, although I was unable to extend my stay and had to switch to a different hotel. Firstly, I'd like to commend the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general. The service provided, both at the restaurant and reception, was exceptional. Additionally, your internet service is among the best in town, which, as a Google Engineer, I can attest to. However, I must address an issue regarding the parking entry, which was quite challenging. Despite the availability of ample parking spaces, the entry point was poorly designed, making it difficult to maneuver in and out. I even sought assistance but unfortunately couldn't find any. I hope this issue can be addressed. Furthermore, there seems to be a communication gap regarding the parking, as those directing customers to the lot should clarify whether it's manageable for new arrivals. It was disappointing to be guided to the parking lot by someone representing Hayat Regency, only to find it inaccessible. Thank you for considering this feedback, and I hope it contributes to enhancing the overall experience for future guests.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property, the views from the room were incredible, and the staff was superb! Special thanks to Afework, Tilaye, Sileshi, and Sefiw at the lounge for their tremendous service, as well as Beheilu, Befkadu, Aschalew, Legesse for their excellent service elsewhere around the hotel, and Danawit at the reception for a super smooth check-out process! This is the best hotel you can go to in Addis Ababa. The rooms are very clean, aspecially done by the room cleaner Birtukan. She makes sure you have the cleanest rooms, enough water and is very nice. The service in the restaurant is very good, the waiter Buruk and manager Mehret make sure that you start your day as perfect as it can be. Very pleasant to come home to.
