If you’re looking for a warm, local-style experience in Addis Ababa, Guzara Hotel is the place to stay. My wife and I have stayed here multiple times, and each visit feels like coming home. The atmosphere is welcoming, the fresh home-cooked meals are delicious, and you truly get a taste of authentic Ethiopian hospitality. Mr. Thesome and the entire staff are incredibly attentive and always ready to help in any way possible. Highly recommended for anyone who values comfort, personal care, and a genuine local touch.

Had a lovely stay here together with my family. The location is perfect and the stuff helped us with everything we needed. Room is nice and everything was quiet . We managed to rest. I would say good price as well Definitely recommending it to my friends.

So very glad that I booked Guzara Hotel! Exceptional service. The kitchen is amazing. Wonderful breakfast and fresh roasted coffee to get your day started off right. Transport from the airport to the hotel was seamless. No hassle finding a taxi. Hotel room was very clean and comfy. Laundry is located on the same street as the hotel and my clothes came back clean and fresh. If you have any questions dont hesitate to talk to Mr. Teshome! It is worth it to get a guided tour from Hotel Guzara to save you money and hassle of finding a guide. Guzara Hotel Addis made my experience a trip of a lifetime. I will be staying on all future trips!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable, with balcony overlooking the Addis street scenes. Very good value. The manager, Teshome, was very helpful with all our needs. Expect noisy socializing in the street below until 10 pm or so.

For any African Americans traveling to Addis abbaba in the future I recommend this hotel it’s out of the way of the rest of busy life Addis Abbaba more towards the industrial where everywhere you walk and talk you are meeting genuine raw uncut Ethiopian people who are willing to assist you with anything. Please check out the Tana fish house and Bella restaurant top notch for this area. What can I say about the staff if you are more worried about additional amenities don’t come here they have what you need clean room hot water 24/7 backup generator restaurant pickup from airport service and most important they will bend over backwards for your service. Please support them it’s for me was a neighborhood friendly community Thank you

During our stay at Guzara Hotel Addis from October 21st to 26th, 2024, our team of six enjoyed outstanding hospitality from the owner, Teshome, and his family. Teshome’s thoughtful gestures, such as airport pickups and drop-offs, made a notable difference. The hotel’s location was ideal—within walking distance to GIZ and ILRI offices—enhancing our convenience. The spacious, clean rooms in a quiet setting provided a comfortable retreat after long days, allowing us to unwind peacefully. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations and left a memorable impression.

Best experience I have had staying in addis ababa. Beds are very comfortable, the hotel is in good and secure location, the staff provides transport to and from airport, and serve a delicious breakfast. I will stay here again! Very hospitable staff.

Guzara Hotel Addis is a home away from home! Breakfast and coffee were amazing every day of my stay. Staff were kind and accommadating. Laundry service is located conveniently close to the hotel. Hadero coffee shop and Power Gym is a short walk away from the hotel as well. I highly recommend the guide service offered by the hotel owner. The hotel was clean and room service very convenient. The owner exceeded my expectations, sharing info on great local restaurants, places to see, and shuttle service to local museums and historical sites. I will most definitely be booking all future stays in Addis with Guzara Hotel!
