I returned to the Hotel Malavoglia for a "last minute" stay with my family on Wednesday 30 August 2023. We were assigned a large, bright and comfortable quadruple room. Mattresses of adequate thickness and capable of offering a more than good quality of sleep. Clean linen, excellent air conditioning and soundproofing. The bathroom has a large window (and not the usual ventilation system), super spacious shower cubicle, bathtub and two sinks, all of the latest generation. There is a good personal hygiene kit. The swimming pool, decidedly beautiful, is another strong point of the structure. The sunbeds by the pool are very comfortable and of "premium" quality, as are the maxi umbrellas. There is a nice poolside bar, which served us an excellent Spritz with pretzels. At a cost of 10 euros per day, a convenient covered parking service is also available in the basement, with direct access from the hotel premises 👍. Very varied and abundant breakfast, with the presence of sweet, savory and fruit. I particularly appreciated the cakes and biscuits, a little less croissants, donuts and other baked goods. I also liked the watermelon, not the white melon as much. I can't comment on savory foods, having not tasted anything. Regarding the cappuccino, it is possible to choose between the self-service machine and the bar adjacent to the breakfast room, with the staff providing table service. I recommend this last solution, also because there is no surcharge. On one occasion we had lunch by the pool with four courses of fish. Average price around 15 euros per serving and unfortunately, for the amount spent, the result did not meet expectations 😕. Proceeding to a quick calculation, I can say that in this period, at the Hotel Malavoglia in Acitrezza, the rate per person per day, breakfast and taxes included, is around 50 euros per person, to which the tourist tax must be added. The latter costs 2 euros per person per day, obviously excluding small children.
Final judgement: certainly not popular rates, but all in all we had a good time and so it was worth it😄👍!!

This hotel is 11 kms out of Catania and well located in terms of plenty of restaurants and bars along the beachfront, within a distance of about 500m. The lobby/foyer/lounge area was roomy and there was both a small number of steps and a ramp to the entrance. We stayed there for one night only (unfortunately) with a tour group. Our room was excellent, as was the bathroom, with plenty of room to move around and a balcony overlooking the pool. The room had a safe, hairdryer and air con, which was most welcome on a hot day. The pool area was very good with plenty of banana lounges, as well as a poolside bar. There was also a spa area. Breakfast was reasonable, without being great and staff were helpful. A good option.

Beautiful hotel, very modern, very clean. Comfy beds, beautiful pool. Breakfast very nice selection of hot and cold food. Staff and service exceptional. Price reasonable. Only downside is expensive drinks from poolside bar.

Door was very hard to open. Jacuzzi did not work. There was a bar but it was not open. And the site said they had airport transfer but they did not. But the city was great

Recently upgraded I believe. Very clean,caters for business as well has holiday makers. We picked here because of the location outside the big city and the proximity of the airport for our day of departure ( 18 km ) lots of bars and restaurants to pick from along the front with beautiful sea views out to the famous rock formations. There is a bar and coffee shop on site, rooms were very well appointed,clean, and we had a balcony. Good choice if you want to visit the big city but prefer to withdraw to a quite location come evening.

Saved me from next door hotel that was a nigh**are. I highly recomend staying on this modern hotel that 100% live up to great standard and lovely service in the reception/management and very clean room everyday. A great thanks to the manager for finding a room to me on short notic. I had a lovely time and felt very safe staying on this hotel. It is based very close to the water and public transport. Car parking down below the building. I for sure would love staying on this hotel next time I visit 🌞🌠🥰
