Firstly take into consideration the price. Then I will start with the pros; Brilliant location, turn left 2 mins to the beach, right 3 mins to town. Pool area clean. Apts kept clean, towels were changed. Food and drinks at snack bar not over priced. Staff friendly. Showers powerful and hot. Cons; Beds were the hardest we have ever slept, well, tried to sleep on!! Apts very dated, 1990s flash back. Air con €10 per night, plus visitors tax to pay. WiFi hit and miss. Mosquitoes, do not forget the repellent. All in all we had a wonderful break, no road noise or boom booms from discos. Beach walks were great for eateries, cocktails. A little pricier than on main street, but worth it for views. We never used the kitchen only for first morning cuppa, so cannot comment on equipment. The real issue for us was the mattresses, they felt like solid blocks, and the shower room in desperate need of an upgrade, but was kept as clean as possible, and good powerful shower. Staff worked hard with what was available to them. The condition does reflect on rating and price, so please be mindful of this when booking.

The apartments are really well situated in Acharavi, a minute or two from the beach and the same up to the main road with the supermarket. They are typically basic Greek self catering apartments. We expected that based on the reviews and the price so there were no big surprises. We had a two bedroom apartment which we thought was spacious and would comfortably have slept 4-5 people without everyone tripping over each other and the terrace was equally big. The shower was a plus point, very big and plenty of hot water at any time of day. The pool area was nice. We didn’t use it much as preferred the beach but we used it once or twice and it was sheltered, a nice big clean pool, and the pool bar had a decent selection of food and drink for the daytime. There were some minor disappointments. The apartment had very little kitchen equipment, no toaster or even a bottle opener. The kettle lid was broken though useable. We possibly could have asked and got the items we wanted but just managed without, but for those that use the facilities more it could be a problem. The apartment didn’t feel or look overly clean. Nothing terrible but it just felt like it needed a good scrub. I’m not sure the floor was mopped in the time we were there. Bins were emptied every couple of days which is fine except for the bathroom bin which really needed sorting daily and has been everywhere we’ve stayed previously. Towels were changed every couple of days and the bedding weekly. Again would have been nice for an extra bedding change as was very hot, but not the end of the world. All in all it was very good value for what we paid. If it has cost much more, and I have seen it priced much higher for other weeks (and not just in school holidays) then the minor issues would be more of a problem but all in all for location and apartment size it was very good value.

Exactly what to expect from Greece! Great location for the beach and bars / restaurants. Basic accommodation but for a week it’s got everything you need. Air con is extra (to be expected). Pool area is great, large pool, ample sun beds and a decent little bar which does breakfast and lunch. Only slight issue would be the cleanliness, could do with daily cleaning when each person is having two showers a day you need fresh towels. Overall would recommend for a chilled out week.

This is our 2nd stay at Nireas apartments and again we loved it. We were in a studio apartment which was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the pretty gardens. Our room was cleaned each day and towels were changed regularly. The location is perfect if you want to be in peaceful surroundings but in close proximity to the beach, supermarket , bars and tavernas. The pool area is beautiful with a snack and drinks bar which is very reasonably priced. Please be aware that if you arrive on a late flight, go to the reception where you’ll find your room information stuck on the window.

Nireas reminded me of my first visits to Corfu over 35 years ago, really basic apartment but had its pluses.. our room had two balconies (ground floor), good sized room and a large kitchen area. A few niggles with the bathroom though, old style shower with a curtain and the sink leaked a little making the floor a bit slippy.. Maid service was fine tho, no complaints.. The pool area doesn't seem to get used much, i assume because of all the bitey bugs that are about.. Mozzies were the biggest sorepoint of our 2 week stay, I usually get bit anyway but I got a load more than usual, as did my partner and when sitting with drinks people watching it was apparent everybody was getting munched on.. obviously not the fault of nireas but would put me off going back unless the price was as good as we paid this time.. Perfect location, a couple of minutes stroll either way to the beach or the main road, both with some really good bars and restaurants.

Stayed one week from 5 September in apartment 5. Whilst it was a two bedroom apartment it was very cramped. Kitchen had table and 3 chairs, no armchairs or sofa. No kettle or toaster. Towels changed once in week, sheets not changed at all. Bathroom small and old but clean. Pool area no problem getting sun beds but they were old and decrepit. Ate in snack bar once. Food lovely but atmosphere nil. Was expecting more for what we paid. Central to beach front and Main Street. Mosquitoes are in abundance both day and night. Numerous bites even after using sprays, lotions and plug ins.
