This place is a bit of a conundrum. A beautiful location, nice room, but it just doesn't feel right. The room is good, but lacks any feelings of warmth. It would have been nice to have tea / coffee making in the suite to allow a relaxed time in the room. We had lunch, but we're unaware that there is no a la carte, and you have to opt for a 4, 6 or 8 course extravaganza, with limited choice, leading to being uncomfortable for the rest of the day. Staff in reception seemed uncommunicative and had an air of a funeral parlour. Maybe that impresses foodies, but for real people some reality would help. Breakfast was OK, but the Ukrainian refugee waitress reminded me of the Manuel dialogues in Fawlty Towers. Financial housekeeping was a bit slack, and we were nearly charged for someone's bar bill from the terrace who had signed it to our room. Expensive, and sadly, I can't put my finger on it but I'd doesn't add up!

Living in Cataluña whenever we return to England by ferry we normally break our journey to Santander or from Bilbao with a night in Logrono. On this occasion we stayed a day and a night at this fabulous Hotel/Bodega. The food and wine were both excellent, the room luxurious and the bed very comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and well done for taking in the Ukrainian refugees

What an incredible hotel in an incredible location overlooking its own vineyards and the countryside beyond. Our room was large and comfortable with a lovely view. However, special mention must be given to the outstanding food and wine! The restaurant offers a tasting menu with 4, 6 or 8 courses and every course we tasted over our two night stay was exceptional. (The only thing I would say is, we chose the 8 courses on our first night and, for us, it was too many. We settled for four on the second night and did not leave feeling hungry!) A very special place, ideal for a special occasion. Although the team speak little English (apart from our waitress who was exceptional in every way) they really are patient and try very hard to help. If we had to be really picky, we found we had to go and ask for aperitifs when siting outside before dinner and it would have been nice to have been offered. And as others have mentioned, the shower (over the bath) felt a bit dated. But hey, it worked fine and these things certainly won't put us off returning! In fact, and here's the real measure, I literally can't wait to visit again! That food!!

What an amazing place. I can’t express enough the gratitude and the kindness of the staff. The food is totally amazing and delicious! Not to mention the wine!!! Omg the wine tasting is amazing totally recommend it in combination of the winery tour and the olive oil tasting!

We’re currently staying at this boutique hotel which I had heard so much about, and it has not disappointed us! The attention to detail in the rooms is over the top, you have expansive views from every corner and an extremely comfortable king sized bed. We had a wine tasting earlier today and were taken through the vineyards, into the wine cellar and then tasted 3 different types of wines which were amazing. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my fiancé during a month long trip to Spain. Overall we really loved the hotel. The service, staff, food, and wine were great. Anyone staying there should definitely sign up for an experience that includes a wine tasting and tasting menu. If you do the tasting menu the 6 courses is more than enough food. We loved sitting out on the terrace drinking wine and watching the gorgeous sunset view they have. The only complaint we had was that they have a small fly problem on the terrace that made staying out there for too long kind of annoying. Obviously the property is a vineyard, in the country, and its very rural - but I am not sure if there is more the hotel could do about the flies. A further comment about the region itself and not the hotel per se - we had a really hard time booking into wineries in Navarra and Carinena. It seems that the wine tourism in this area is not nearly as built up as La Rioja (let alone Napa or Sonoma). Most of the wineries wouldn't respond to me or shut me down immediately as I am English speaking and was not with a "big group". As part of the objective of our trip was to visit wineries, this was disappointing. I tried to work with the hotel to help me coordinate, but they confirmed what I was already seeing, that its not the same wine tourism in that area just yet.

I spent two nights at Hotel Pago de Cirsus on a recent trip to Spain and I have to say I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has very much a parador feel but with better food and service. My room was large and appointed in a style that worked well with the property but was very comfortable with nice amenities. My room was lacking a safe which was disappointing for this class of hotel. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning with a great view of the adjoining vineyards. Unfortunately they only did winery visit during the weekend so i was unable to visit but I sampled all the wines at the bar which were very nice. The food was great throughout and service at the restaurant was nice and friendly. I really had a good time. I slept well overall but the room service team was incredibly loud early in the mornings, often arguing among themselves and that was not pleasant as sound proofing wasn't great. This happened both morning so i think it's something management needs to be mindful of.

Perhaps a bit off the beaten track, this hotel was a great find on our trip around northern Spain. The room was very pleasant and comfortable but it's the grounds and the restaurant that are the real highlights. As this hotel is based in a winery, it's not surprising that the excellent wines were central to the experience of staying here. We enjoyed a welcome glass of wine in the beautiful garden when we arrived and had a very nice variety of wines during our excellent dinner. We were even given a complimentary bottle of their wine on departure. What's not to like?

Fabulous location, so serene and beautiful. Wonderful warm welcome with a glass of their delicious rosado wine. We had a very pretty room which was spotless and comfortable. The only drawback for us was that the shower was over the bath and my husband has mobility problems, but we managed and this would not be a problem for most guests. We thought that the dinner was probably the best we have had in a hotel anywhere in the world, served with their own delicious wines. The staff were very attentive but not obtrusive and kept our glasses topped throughout. Breakfast was continental only but very good, the orange juice was fresh and sweet. We were delighted and recommend this hotel without reservation, we even came away with a few bottles of all their different wines. Superb.
