Super 8 by Wyndham Abingdon VA

Staff was professional and attentive. Room was clean and well stocked. Breakfast was limited as expected. Minor issue caused by previous quest was quickly corrected. Bed was above average for this chain. Parking was ample and well lighted .

The staff was very professional and helpful, and the room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable -- the bed was one of the most comfortable of any Super 8 that I have used, and, best of all, it was quiet! The check-in and check-out was quick and painless, and when I discovered that I had left my wedding ring on the night-stand -- I was already 200 miles away form the hotel -- the manager kindly and promptly sent it to my home address without any charge. That's service above and beyond the ordinary.

I asked when I made the reservation for a charging spot. The hotel did not have one but, I just need a 110 outlet for my plug-in hybrid Ford CMax. The manager instructed me where to park and where to find the outlet. All good! Clean, modern decor room was very,quiet. I had a waffle and hot coffee. I do not like to load up on a heavy b'fast so that was perfect. Thank you Super 8 Windham.

Truly the worst hotel experience ever. We camp and are not picky but can’t believe this is vetted by Wyndham! Guess that brand means very little. Staff was fine, but zero smiling. Seemed surprised we were there (family of 5 with children). No one in the parking lot, gave us pause. Inside, we were welcomed by a wall of cigarette smoke that permeated the entire lobby and hallways. Smoke stuck to us. Got to room (3rd floor, no elevator) and room was freezing. Tin foil insulated the ac unit and windows. The fridge had moldy water dispenser, which matched the mold in the bathroom. The cabinets in the kitchen suite didn’t match, just nailed up whatever was found?? Dirt, bugs covered the kitchen sink. No bedding for pullout couch. Beds were clean (after intense inspection) but my children were scared to sleep under the ripped comforter. Should have left but exhausted so agreed to 5 hours of sleep before running out at 5 am without touching the shower or sorting through the stained “bath”towels.

No elevators to get up to the upper floors, rooms smells really bad, poor breakfast and very small area, rusted items in bathroom, dirty ice tray and lamp, sink faucet dirty and mold around the tub caulk, rusted toilet paper holder and tissue holder.

Rooms was nasty. Did not have suite upon arriving like I requested. No Towels. Tub wouldn't drain. TERRIBLE PLACE!
