This is not our first stay so that speaks volumes. We were met with a friendly welcome - by the same faces as previous years so that speaks volumes. The room is spacious, clean, nice soft ropes, comfortable bed, with delicious coffee. Jodi and Scott have created a lovely calm environment which whilst your aware there is a loving family environment within the building the display has the desired professionalism. Sam another key member of the team displays all the flexibility each year in a key member of the team - a talent. We would without doubt return Tips Great location. Walking routes around craigellachie, some are a little steep. Good public transport links to the surrounding areas.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Craigellachie Lodge, we were made most welcome and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful. The accommodation is of a very high standard and within it’s own beautiful grounds, close the village centre.

Premium accommodation. Room was large and luxurious. Bath tub was in the actual bedroom which meant the bathroom had a room for a large shower. Robes are provided. There is a beautiful ground floor room in which to relax and peruse magazines/books or just take a drink. If we had to really picky the vegetarian dishes could have been better prepared and the staff require more experience/training but this last point is a lot more common since Brexit especially in more rural locations so did not spoil our stay

In many years I’ve never come across a place quite like Craigellachie Lodge. It’s nothing short of a unique gem in the heart of Speyside. The Lodge itself is a stunning old house in Craigellachie which is a magical wee town on the banks of the river Spey. It’s situated in the heart of Craigellachie but cutely nestled at the end of its own private driveway tunnelled and secluded by rhododendrons. On arrival, you’re always thoroughly warmly welcomed as if you were old friends, with big smiles and good cheer. Once settled in you can mosey back around to the well furnished cosy Whisky Bar. The Bar is finely curated with some of the most excellent and occasionally very rare whisky available. The bar is the pride and joy of Scott, one of the Lodge’s proprietors and you’ll be able to find some real gems there. I’m not going to tell you what bottles Scott’s keeping hold of there.. because I want some of the stuff to still be there by the next time I visit. :D The Lodge is run by Jodi and Scott and their excellent staff who work to keep the experience at Craigellachie Lodge tip top. You’ll be invited to dine in their excellent Restaurant which I highly recommend. The food is extremely good and the Restaurant itself is cosy and welcoming and relaxing. If you’ve already made plans that’s never a problem, they’re not precious and there’s of course no obligation or expectation that you’ll eat in the Lodge. The Lodge is more of a Hotel than a BnB, but it definitely very cleverly blends the two. They’ll never see you go without and if you need recommendations of other places to go or visit or do, the amazing staff or Scott or Jodi are always keen to help out and give recommendations. I recommend doing the Whisky Tasting experience in the Speyside Whisky Shop which has connections to The Lodge. We also hired bikes from Right To Roam which is nearby. I recommend taking the bikes down the Speyside Way to visit The Glenallachie Distillery, Aberlour Distillery and The Speyside Whisky shop in Aberlour. You can also now cycle to Rothes, the town to the North of Craigellachie. Doing all of this in one day makes for a particularly good day. The staff and proprietors at Craigellachie Lodge are the most accommodating people I’ve ever met and went out their way to ensure my Father and I had a truly unforgettable experience. On one occasion we lacked suitable transportation for the short journey up to The Macallan Distillery and Jodi helped us out by transporting us there without any hassle. You can’t really ask for much more than that. The rooms are extremely comfortable, clean and homely. Each room is a little different. On this occasion, my Father and I stayed in Aigan, a cosy twin room with en-suite. On my previous stay my wife and I stayed in The Apple Room. A very beautiful double room with en-suite. The rooms are cleaned each day and beds made up. Amazingly and cleverly done while you’re enjoying the hotel breakfast. The Breakfast is amazing! Easily the best

My stay at the Craigellachie Lodge was everything I expected--- and more! The room was comfortable, the food delicious, and the location (to Speyside distilleries) couldn't have been any more convenient. I highly recommend this lodge (and a visit to Scott's whisky store too!)

The Lodge was lovely and welcoming, staff greeting us by name as we walked in the door. Very friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. Room was amazing with a bath tub at the window with a beautiful view. And for anyone who has an interest in whisky the drinks menu has 6 pages worth of different years and brands and with a very knowledgable host to guide you through and find a dram to suit your palate. Just a total wonderful stay and will recommend and definitely be back to stay

3rd time we've stayed at the Craigellachie Lodge and as usual it didn't disappoint. Friendly welcome as always, food was excellent and the breakfast was better than last time. A great base to explore the wider area and the bar is well stocked with whisky (other beverages available). Will definitely be back for a 4th time.

Not only was it great to be back but good to know exactly what the Apple Room would be! The grounds of Craigellachie Lodge are lovely and the property is close to the walking paths along the river. Breakfast is à la carte and Lewis the Chef specialises in using fresh local produce as much as possible….delicious and very ably assisted all round by Sam and Emma with Tilly as well on weekends. Individual service at dinner, also à la carte was cheerful, just right and complemented by a quality range of drinks. Apart from being the headquarters of Walker's Shortbread, Aberlour is also very well located for hikes, historic Knockando Woolmill and tours of Speyside whisky making. The owners, Scott and Jodi are most helpful, particularly with emailed questions, if necessary, prior to booking and arriving.
