At $30 pp/night this place is a bit pricey by Peru standards. Other than that everything was excellent. Jan is very responsive to email inquiries and helped us organizing mules and arrieros for Choquequirao trek. Rooms are very comfortable with hot showers and superb views on snow-peaked mountains (unfortunately, they were in clouds in the morning). Breakfast was provided, and dinner is extra $6pp. Food was freashly prepared and very good. Very nice people. Unless, you are on a very tight budget, this is the place to stay in Cachora.

*English below* Un lugar muy comodo con una vista de las montañas increíble y los dueños más amables. Tienen toda la información por hacer el camino a Choquequirao o el Inca Trail a Machu Picchu. English: The owners speak English really well if your Spanish isn't up to fluency yet! It's an incredible place with the most lovely owners. They have all the information for doing the hike to Choquequirao or the Inca trail all the way to Machu Picchu.

Excellent experience in this wonderful home with an even more amazing view! We felt were very welcomed at this place and even shorten the hike to choquequirao so that we could stay again on our way back 🥰 The rooms aver clean and big and the shower is hot 😎 I needed to do some important calls in Spanish but my Spanish was not good enough and Joanna volunteered to help me out !! I am really really grateful for that and can’t say thank you enough 🥰😘

Fue una excelente experiencia. Nos quedamos en camping luego de visitar Choquequeirao y la dueña nos recibió muy amablemente ..es muy atenta. Las instalaciones y sus paisajes son 10 de 10 ..quedense en este lugar cuando vayan a Choquequeirao

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Casa de Salcantay. Das Hostel befindet sich in einer ruhigen Lage am Rand von Cachora. Auf der Terrasse hat man einen wundervollen Ausblick auf die Berge. Wir wurden von der Gastgeberin Yovana herzlich empfangen und sie hat uns mit vielen Informationen zum Trekking in choquequirao versorgt. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und das Essen war lecker. Auch als es an unserem Abreisetag Verkehrsprobleme gab, half uns Yovana weiter und organisierte eine Fahrt nach Abancay. Wir können die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen.

Sehr nette Gastgeber die immer weiterhelfen und Tips geben. Traumhafte Lage am Ortsrand mit schönem Ausblick auf die Berge. Sehr gutes Essen und das Zimmer war ausreichend ausgestattet. Wasser war leider nicht immer warm und durch den Spalt unter der Tür sind einige kleine Ameisen gekommen, die wir aber beseiten konnten.

Très bonne adresse et point de départ pour le trek du Choquequirao ! Accueil très chaleureux de notre hôte qui nous a également proposé le couvert. Hôtel très propre, bien entretenu, chambres spacieuses et eau chaude. Une vue magnifique sur les sommets en face. Bref, une adresse que l'on recommande sans hésiter !
