From the moment we landed at Male airport we were greeted by Heritance staff with a warm welcome and transferred to their lounge awaiting our seaplane transfer. This was our second visit to the Heritance (first time celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and this time celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday), our decision to return to the same island because we’d enjoyed it so much the first time and didn’t want to be disappointed with a different island - we weren’t disappointed - the Heritance delivered over and above our expectations improving on our first trip. Two things stand out for me that differentiate the Heritance, firstly are the staff, all of whom are warm and welcoming giving exemplary service and secondly is the quality of the food which is amazing. From the moment we arrived on the island we were greeted by our butler, the fabulous Dinu. Nothing was too much trouble for her, booking meal reservations, day & spa trips - she was super organised . What stood out was that she always made time to catch up with you each day to ensure you were having the best experience possible, but not in an intrusive way - FANTASTIC JOB DINU! Secondly, as the scales are now showing, the food at the Heritance is amazing. Each restaurant has its own speciality, we loved all of them, but special mention goes to Ranba, the buffet area which provides a wide range of cuisine, all to the highest of standards. Manjula in Ranba, looked after us so well giving 5 star plus service, checking which cuisine we preferred (Asian), and suggesting dishes directly from the chefs in the kitchen which were stunning. Afrah and Ibbe took great care of us when serving meals and drinks too. Finally, the accommodation, is beautiful. We chose a beach pool villa which was kept spotlessly clean both inside and out by Alamin. I certainly hope to be able to go back to the Heritance before too long - it’s definitely as close to paradise as you’ll find.
