Hostel Aachen

For this price, and it's so good, you won't find anything better. Greetings to all travelers.

For 1 night it was a great hostel, but very basic. The service and location were good, but the facilities and hygiene were bad. Unfortunately, 1 curtain could not be closed so that daylight came in. There were also hairs in the rooms and at the sinks.

No hot water

Fraudulent business practices. I had to cancel my booking, which I had to pay for several months in advance, and the owner/manager Ayse (last name is nowhere to be found) offered me a 50% refund or a voucher. That was in September 2024. To date (end of November), I have not received any money. The supposed voucher turned out to be a WhatsApp message. Instead, I received WhatsApp messages in which she assured me the money would be transferred, there was a problem with the bank, she was in the hospital, etc. No information about the management can be found online. She doesn't respond to emails. I never received a confirmation or anything similar. Only WhatsApp messages. I feel cheated out of the €280 I paid. Clearly a fraudulent scheme in my opinion.

Surprenant mais plutôt un bon souvenir. Ambiance sympathique. Adapté plutôt pour les jeunes.On peut faire la cuisine. Si on a pas peur de dormir en dortoir, alors OK.

The location to the city center was good, as was the room. The beds are rather soft, but everything was there for a relatively good night's sleep (the frequent trains at night were a bit annoying). The shower and toilet were clean and comfortable. I didn't use the common room, and I wasn't particularly impressed by it (the kitchen was full of used dishes, etc.).
