Royal Bath Hotel & Spa Bournemouth

Our coach holiday at the Royal Bath in Bournemouth was terrific value for money. The location is excellent with the beach, Bournemouth gardens, and the Pavilion theatre all minutes away on foot. Our rooms were spacious and appeared to have been recently refurbished. There is free wifi in the common areas and kettle and cups, ironing facilities and a fan are provided in the rooms. The common areas are comfortable and the food is self service. We found the staff to be friendly and attentive. The hotel is an old lady and not without it's flaws so if you are used to luxury then you may wish to pay extra money elsewhere for your indulgence. We were looking for a comfortable hotel in a great location and were very happy with our stay at the Royal Bath.

The staff here are friendly and nothing seems an effort for them, as they make you feel welcome throughout your stay. I was down in Bournemouth for a conference and had the Bon Jovi room. The room is clean, warm, with a good quality carpet and bedding to match. The breakfast is plentiful and of good quality. I shall be back soon, and hopefully ”Livin' on a Prayer” if I bag the Gregg Wallace room next time.
Harbour Hotel & Spa Christchurch

We had a 3 day stay at the Harbour Hotel in Christchurch. We ate dinner there twice - once at ”The Upper Deck” and once at ”The Jetty”. Both meals were excellent: we had lovely tables, the food was great and the service made us feel special. The experience at breakfast was the same, with attentive service from all the staff and great food served on the open veranda. Although we were using the hotel as a base for our walks around the area, we also used the spa which was well maintained and had all the facilities you could want. We did have an issue with our assigned room which was not as ordered from Trip.com. Although the reception team reconfirmed they had allocated the room accurately based on what Trip.com had ordered for us, the Cherry the reception manager took it on herself to compensate us for the mismatch. From start to finish the service at The Harbour was outstanding. All the staff that served us in reception, the bar, the restaurants and the spa were helpful, efficient and friendly. Although our room was smaller than we'd ordered, it was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. All in all, this was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in, this in no small part due to the professionalism and caring attitude of the staff team. We will return !
Queens Hotel & Spa Bournemouth

I have lived a few times because of the location. Stayed for 11 nights this time, the longest time Room size is small Breakfast is so-so Catch up with the elevator maintenance for three months. It takes a lot of effort to carry the big suitcase upstairs. The room is just above the restaurant, every night the music collapses to 9:30 after, affecting sleep... Don't eat steak in the hotel, pizza is still ok
Laguna Hotel

The hotel itself is a little tired but the room we stayed in was spotless we had clean sheets and towels every day room was cleaned every day. Staff were so helpful and friendly, myself and our 7 year old used the pool and games room every day .We only booked for two nights but we’re lucky to book the same room for a extra night .would definitely recommend Laguna Hotel already looking to book up for 2024. Considering it was the school holidays we found Laguna Hotel very reasonable priced, especially considering all the fascilities they have that are included in the price of your stay.

The Jubilee Hotel East- with Spa Facilities
3.3/597 Reviews
Hotel’s location great, close to seafront and town centre. The room smelt a but funny as you walked in and I would not have been able to open the window without my boyfriends help. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest it looked like someone tried to flush a teabag down the toilet and it was stuck on the bottom. The water pressure on the 3rd floor was absolutely rubbish, it would’ve been easier to have a wash in the sink. We did request a room with a bath tub, which we didn’t get, but on the other hand the hotel had a little outdoor garden with sauna and hot tub which we did use for additional £20/person and we did not regret it! Also the young man on the reception was extremely helpful.
Grand Hotel Swanage

I must congratulate every member of staff for the wonderful experience that guests enjoy at the Grand. My husband and me spent three nights there to celebrate our wedding anniversary on 21st July. From our arrival around 4pm on Friday until our departure on Monday morning, we enjoyed a relaxed and peaceful weekend. The hotel's location couldn't be bettered, and the service and dining were excellent. I can't find enough superlatives to describe how well we were served by everyone (including the room attendant) and how fabulous the food was, including the full English breakfast, which was perfect every time and the best we have eaten anywhere. As for the dinners we enjoyed, they were spectacular. We were both impressed that the menu was limited to a small variety of interesting and imaginative main courses, which meant that we knew whatever we chose would be excellent. And the mango tart dessert was exquisite. The conservatory dining room was a lovely place to enjoy a wonderful dinner, then sit back with a glass of your favourite tipple or a coffee and watch the sun go down over the sea - stunning! The ease of accessing the clean, sand beach was also great and made it easy to give in to temptation and go for a swim. And now for the (tiny) complaint - the tea made with the Dorset teabags was awful, not helped by the semi-skimmed milk. Perhaps the hotel could consider providing the choice of skimmed milk as well - a lot of people drink it these days! And my husband was disappointed that there was not a fridge in the room 😊 Notwithstanding the fridge, we are looking forward to returning to the Grand next year. This is very much a hotel for couples looking for a chilled and peaceful break, a perfect base from where to do as much or as little as you want.
Carrington House Hotel

Stayed 3 nights this hotel is dated the room we had definitely needed a lot of redecorating. But in saying that it seemed clean and was comfortable although they only had very firm pillows. I guess I could of asked for softer but I didn’t. Entertainment was provided an Irish music weekend which we didn’t attend but the hotel was full of guests who did. It sounded ok from our room, but not enough to disturb sleep. Now the food, we ate the dinner on our first night and although I found it ok my other is a vegetarian and the choice was only veg curry which didn’t look that appealing. However for me plenty of food, not the greatest but for a budget hotel they know their customer base and was tasty. A Buffett is provided which included salad, meat and fish. A little pricey and felt as my other half was disappointed not value for money again we didn’t complain as I had enough to eat and really should of read menu first. Breakfast was another thing I felt for a budget hotel was more than ok. A Buffett again of cooked and cereal/porridge. The cooked was good and although you can tell it is all prepared from catering packs no real cooking was done it was very tasty and filling. You can’t ever really do a bad breakfast. We ate in the bar on last night and felt that was value for money. Location was good 30 minutes walk to Bournemouth close to boscombe nice walk through park. Other reviews have mentioned trouble and homeless people staying there, please remember Brittainia Hotels do have a government contract for this but I never noticed or saw any trouble.whilst there. Staff were very friendly the guy in charge of restaurant service was very friendly and helpful. Reception staff were great as were bar and restaurant staff. They put the queens funeral on tv in bar and was watched by about 12 people which was a nice touch good to watch with other people. Swimming pool was ok and the water was warm and clean. Al in all not an outstanding stay but for the price not bad. Would I go again yes but now I know the expectations they do lots of entertainment weekends and they seem to know their clientele and aim their service at that.

We visited for a family diamond wedding anniversary. The rooms were clean and spacious. The reception area smelt lovely! The reception staff were extremely helpful and polite and leaving a little gift for my in-laws for their anniversary in the room was also a lovely touch!. Breakfast was a little difficult due to extremely limited gluten free options but I managed. I was advised to scan a QR code but it didn’t give you a breakdown for each item just an overview . Would have expected maybe allergens on the signs for the food in the buffet. We stopped in the back of the hotel which had a long corridor with three small stair cases which was awkward for my elderly mother in law. Advice for future travellers contact the hotel in advance if travelling with people who are uneasy on their feet so you can request a room without these staircases. I think an addition of a handrail for each staircase would be a great benefit. The bar staff are excellent and very chatty and friendly, Wonderful views and overall great facilities!
