First visit for us . 20mins wait for drinks.no steak available.potato skin starter was wrong, put back when returned they had only scraped the topping off and added the correct one and clearly reheated in a micro. One main meal didn’t arrive with others. A side of garlic bread came again heated in micro returned it and got replaced nearly after main course was finished. No Red Malbec Wine. No hurry to clear empty classes. Another table had been told that there was no pizza left! Also a table with young family when left there was food on floor and when it was set up for another 4 people the floor had not be swept. Asked to speak to the manager at end of night and he did not come near us! We had gone through to the public bar and the manager was going about there and he still did not approach us. Quality of the food was generally good but the above things I have mentioned let it down big time. Not sure if we will be back

Love this area. Great shops and hiking trails right out of town. there was a shop there that sold items from local artisans. A variety of restaurants or bar available.. Really Ballater was my favorite village because it had it all! Hilton grand vacations was very nice and convenient. However, we were pretty warm on the third floor and the fan couldn’t possibly cool it off. No idea how people handle it when it’s warmer there.

The accommodation at the Britannia Waterside Hotel was indeed very comfortable. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, and offered stunning views of the waterside. Waking and having breakfast with the view of the river Ugie as a newly married couple was a delightful experience that added to the magic of our wedding. In conclusion, our experience at the Britannia Waterside Hotel was truly extraordinary. We owe a large part of our perfect wedding day to James Forbes and the fantastic staff. This is an incredible Lodge. We are spending 3 days here and our room is beautiful. Very very chic! The staff are super friendly. The property sits on the river last night. We had the most amazing cocktails, a negroni and a French martini. We sat on a swing for two and looked at the gorgeous River sipping our drinks before dinner. The lodge is an all-in-one package. It has everything you need. Including wonderful locally sourced food. The breakfast is included and it is scrumptious

One of the coolest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Loved the vibe, the food, the people. It’s beautiful and unique, with great history as well.

The location is very good. The employees were impressed. I think that the interior of the room has a high-class feel while fulfilling its functions. No problem with accommodation.
