My non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Fortunately the staff were exceptional, and I soon received another room. One staff told me that because the room was ”Japanese Style”, and that I had to take the bedding from the closet, move the low table and make up my own futon. I live in Japan and I know what a ”Japanese Style” room is. Ryokans of a good grade will have staff make up the futons. When a hotel is too large, the work of making up the futons for all rooms becomes onerous, however, one wonders why ”five star hotel” if one has to make up one's own futon AND receive education on what a ”Japanese Style” room entails [ I am in the hotel business]. The lobby is bleak and looks cheap. No style, no charm. The seating is ugly and cheap. There are real plants here and there but no cut flowers. Cut flowers are very expensive in Japan. Too expensive for this hotel. The final point is that I booked this specific hotel in order to take a swim. Although the weather was fine, the pool had closed the day before I arrived. The pool was still full of water, perfect and peaceful, but ”closed”. No doubt, this saves on staff and other expenses, in the same way that making up one's own futon does . . . all this is fine for a hostel, but not for a luxury hotel. I have been generous with my star-giving because I like to be kind, and because several of the staff were truly exceptional in their kindness and service, however, we hope that the management will note our comments. Please pay for more staff and please keep your pool open as long as the weather permits. Global warming means pools can stay open longer. :-)

It's close to the station and has a hot spring and sauna on the top floor. It's a low-temperature sauna that even sauna beginners can use, so it was easy to get in. I stayed on the 7th floor and the view was great. You can even see the Shinkansen from some rooms! The noise from the next room is a bit annoying, but it's not a problem. Dinner and breakfast are included for free. Even if you don't have dinner, there are plenty of places to eat nearby, so it's not a problem. Breakfast is a buffet, so you can have as much as you like of whatever you like, which is great. I'd like to stay here again.

The hotel is right next to the Architectural wonders of Awaji and you can view them with the seaview as a background right from the balcony. The size of the room is also very comfortable. Would also like to recommend booking the breakfast buffet. We have tried two restaurants from the hotel and bought souvenirs from the shop and have nothing to complain about.

I used it for my first trip. There are places to play nearby, and there is also a hot spring, so I am very satisfied. The reason I lowered my rating the most is because I couldn't enjoy it due to renovations and inadequate facilities. There were quite a few issues like that, so I wondered if that was reflected in the price plan, so I only lowered the rating as minimally as possible. But overall I am satisfied.

Very nice Japanese hotel with good service and facilities (public hot spring bath where women and men are separate and several private hot spring baths that I recommend to book in advance). We also had an amazing massage in the hotel spa. The down side would be that the hotel doesn't offer western beds (only Japansese futons) and that the personnel doesn't speak very good English (but are very nice and are trying their best to help)

Enjoy the whole journey at the hotel. Staff are very nice and they provide transport service to pick you up from or to bus station when you check-in or check-out. The hotspring is very good especially the outdoor one. The Japanese style room provides wonderful experience. The meals are incredible.

The overall feeling is very good, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and the service attitude is excellent; the location is a bit far away, and you need to shuttle or drive back to the center or station when going out to the street; it is quiet enough to sleep beautifully. Our group of 4 adults and 1 child includes breakfast and dinner. Room 101 is the stable house, which is the largest room based on the floor plan. There is a pavilion and garden in the room. praise: 1. Quiet, clean, and feel very comfortable as soon as you enter the room. 2. As soon as I parked my car, someone helped me pick up my luggage and get into the hotel. There was my name on the welcome sign in front of the hotel (there was also a name sign in front of the door for breakfast and dinner). I felt very valued; all the waiters were very kind and helpful, and some The waiter is a ********* student who came here for a trial internship, so communication is much easier. The hotel has a shuttle. When you go out for a walk, you can call wtsapp to be picked up at a designated location, which is very convenient. 3. As soon as we enter the hotel, someone will put away our shoes, and the waiter will take us to the hotel to introduce all facilities, lounges, hot springs, breakfast/dinner locations, yukata giving, etc., and also introduce nearby cafes, restaurants, and check-in slots. , 7 major hot springs outside and other details. If the hotel is listed, you can enjoy the 7 major hot springs for free. (I asked the waiter that there is no need to cover up tattoos in the hotel’s hot springs) 4. There is a pavilion in the room, which is very beautiful, and the photo check-in is excellent; the Japanese room is very spacious, and can accommodate 4 large luggages. One side is a Japanese room for sitting, and the other side is for beds. 5 people need to sleep in the same Japanese room. The two Japanese rooms can be separated by a sliding door. Be a little quieter; when we have dinner, the waiter will help us lay out the tatami. The dinner is very rich, so full that we can't walk, and it is so delicious (there are red snow crab and beef). From what I observed, the waiter at dinner and bed is The same person, the service is still excellent and meticulous, I admire you! 5. The latest dinner we choose is 6:30 (5:30, 6:00 and 6:30pm time slots are selected). There are fireworks to watch just after dinner (9:00pm). The icing on the cake is that they are set off at the station, so we have to go after dinner. Wear a yukata and enjoy the fireworks directly outside the hotel. The 5-minute fireworks are really beautiful, especially at this moment. After the fireworks, you can soak in the hot springs directly in the hotel. Note that the lounge closes at 10:00pm for drinks and snow. Bars are provided, but alcohol is charged. The hotel closes at 12:00am, so if you continue to soak, you can still enjoy the drinks in the lobby (only frozen water, frozen black bean tea and coffee). 6. I went to bed very early after soaking in the hot spring. The hotel opens at 5:30 in the morning, so you can take one more dip in the morning. Breakfast is at 7:30/8:00am, and checkout is at 10:00am after breakfast. Tip: Go to Kinosaki Sea World. If your children want to touch penguins or feed dolphins or related activities, please make a reservation in advance.

Excellent
GGuest UserWhat an amazing stay! It exceeded all expectations. The place is super nice with design interior, rooms are warm, spacious and comfortable. The whole place is modern, yet has a very traditional authentic feel and feels serene. The staff is very attentive, caring and fulfills your every need - they make you feel welcome, and explain everything to you very well even if you are a foreigner, there was no problem communicating in english. You are guaranteed 2 private stays in the private onsen spa of your chice - one in the evening and one in the morning, the time slots are more than enough to cover guest capacity and you have choice. The public onsen is pretty awesome too, although i felt so relaxed after private onsen for so long i went there just because of curiosity lol. The dinner and breakfast are HUGE and are SUPER tasty. Excellent products and execution, it was my first time tasting a5 wagyu. I recommend you do not eat lunch before coming to the ryokan for dinner, maybe just breakfast or something small because you will want to eat everything in this amazing meal set. I still feel kind of full 1 day after checking out. The hotel has nice common areas with free beverages, board games, ping pong ans some slot machines for entertainment. You can reserve karaoke room or get massaged in the automatic massage chairs. After we chcecked in at 3pm we did not need to go anywhere away from the hotel and just enjoyed our time there. If you want to book very specific timeslots for the private spa come in at that 3pm, because people queue up 30 min before in the lobby. Although i felt this was not really necessarry because like i said, the capacity is calculated well and you are guaranteed 2 entramces with available time slots. The first time slot starts at 4pm and is in 1hr intervals - with 5 available onsens up until the night. Morning onsen had plenty of free slots. They also offer free shuttle bus and it was always quick, we even called from public telephone in Arima when before checkin and had no problems arranging pickup in english. What i wish is if they were a little bit more flexible with breakfast times, because you also reserve a time slot but it's not like it's a course meal but traditional breakfast + buffet and you have to decide at the check in, which is kind of soon to think about when you want to have morning meal, but it's not too big problem. I guess it is a way to prevent everyone rushing in 5 min before closing time like some people do. The breakfast has plenty of variety and you even get a preheated own grill! Overall, we couldn't pick a better place for our visit in Arima, we are so relaxed and it was oje of the best places we have ever been to!

GGuest UserThe staff are very enthusiastic and the service is very considerate. The breakfast and dinner are very rich. This time we experienced a Japanese-style room. The only bad thing is that the dinner was served in the room. The smoke in the room was very strong and could not be dispersed. There was also the hot spring tax collected at the end. The order showed that it was 1050 yen, but in the end we were charged 1290 yen. Due to language barriers, we could not communicate, so that's it.

GGuest UserThe overall price-performance ratio is very unreasonable. The room is large but not practical. There are almost no toiletries. The towels are old and few. The bathroom and the space for clothes are very cold. There is no floor heating. There are no humanized items. It is the worst hot spring hotel I have ever stayed in. The service is rigid. After checking in, they never showed up again. You have to pay for everything. You have to buy water and coffee yourself. Fortunately, there is a very good cafe downstairs. The attitude is also quite good. When they saw us before closing, they opened the door and made two cups of coffee for us. The whole hotel is OK only for the decorations at the entrance. The rest are very ordinary. The public space waiting for the hot spring is super cold. There is no floor heating and no air conditioning. The hot spring pool is also very simple, like a public bath, without any beauty. I will not go there again

GGuest UserThe hot spring is small, but there are few people, and there are both gold and silver hot springs. Meals are between 350 and 600 per person, which is pretty good. Breakfast is more than 100 per person, which is quite cost-effective. The front desk can communicate in English or a translator depending on the personnel situation, and the service attitude is very good. There was a foreign waiter in the restaurant who said he was learning English, but his English was actually very good. There were no reviews when booking, so it was a successful adventure.

GGuest UserDidn't realized it will be on top of a hill. We got delayed on our train from Kansai, hence arrived a bit late to Arima, tried to call for shuttle but was unsuccessful hence we run up the hill which we thought was just a small distance, but it was much, we've finally arrived to the hotel at 7:30pm a bit earlier than their published latest check in time of 8:00pm. We were told dinner won't be serve after 7pm, we rushed all the way for nothing. They should have also published that on the website to avoid people like us planning a trip to Arima to experience aside from the onsen but also for the traditional Japanese meals. Anyway, after negotiation they did served us the dinner and it was tasty and sumptuous. Aside from the small issue about the dinner, this place is clean & quiet, staffs were very nice and attentive, the onsen are relaxing and we got a very good night sleep. Will still recommend this hotel, but remember to tell them about your arrival time and book the shuttle bus.

GGuest UserA great ryokan! Located 5 minutes from the Arima bus station. We chose a room with two beds in a European style - we were met by a Russian-speaking girl, she showed us to the room, told us everything. Dinner and breakfast, as in most places, must be ordered at least 3 days before arrival. Please note that check-in is from 15:00 to 18:00. The room is spacious, there is a free massage chair, tea, there is no bath or shower in the room. Since the building is old, you need to be quiet, since there is no soundproofing. We took dinner for 15,000 yen - they offer you a time, at the right time they show you to the table. It was delicious, but not too impressive. I would like to hear more information about the dishes from the staff. The food was brought out quickly, the staff is trying very hard. The dining room looks great. The source itself is quite small, I didn't really like the system with a low partition, but if you want to be alone, or you have a tattoo, you can visit it at night - it is open all day, except for 00:00-01:00 and 09:30-10:30 for cleaning. The water is golden We also took a private bath for 5500 yen/60 minutes, it is 5 minutes from the building, it is quite scary to go there at night, I wanted an escort. There is a hammam and all the necessary accessories.
