"I booked a Japanese-style room. The room was spacious and very clean, and came with complimentary snacks, sake, and orange juice. Both breakfast and dinner were fantastic. Dinner was a 10-course Kaiseki meal, and every dish was delicious. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of choices, with the seafood donburi being particularly outstanding. There were four different baths to choose from. Overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money."

"The atmosphere of the hotel is quite good, the room is comfortable, the waiter's language ability is also very good, and there are many national languages to use the room instructions, which is quite intimate.
There is a welcome bar table downstairs, a rich drink supply (including alcohol), and a microwave oven for light food. If a group of people travel together, you can chat and drink here to increase the sharing of joy.
The hot springs are also very clean and comfortable, but slightly fine. When people use more, it is a bit forced, but the TV in the room shows the number of hot spring users, and you can arrange the use time according to your time.
Laundry and dryer are available, easy to use and convenient, suitable for cleaning clothes immediately after bicycle."

"Location is a short walk from Dogo onsen station. The experience was amazing, rooms were huge and I was surprised to have a staff member show us around the room and explain the amenities available. "Because it was a last-minute trip, location was my top priority. It's right next to Dogo Onsen, making it a great location for strolling through the shopping district at night.
We stayed in a tatami room for four, and aside from the initially unpleasant tatami smell, everything was fine. The large windows provided a beautiful view.
Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and I was very satisfied. They had a variety of dishes made with Matsuyama ingredients, and the restaurant was comfortable. The staff were all friendly.
The onsen was fantastic. The water was incredibly clean. It was convenient to use, and the view from the open-air bath was amazing.
Having a Korean staff member made everything convenient."

"We went on a family trip.
It was my first time at an onsen ryokan (hot spring inn) and my first time in a tatami room,
and it was quite spacious and comfortable.
Of course, it was an old building with traditional tatami rooms, so there were some shortcomings,
but even these were all worth it.
Our family was able to fully experience the Japanese atmosphere, which made it even better.
The friendly and detailed guidance from check-in was wonderful.
At check-out, we needed to reserve a taxi,
and when I couldn't get through to the driver, they connected for me,
and helped me make the reservation.
The facilities were varied, so it was a great experience with the kids!

"Excellent! The location is fantastic, right on Ookaido Street, meaning you can shop comfortably protected from both sun and rain. The onsen (hot spring bath) on the upper floor was exceptionally clean and delightful. They also offer free laundry washing, with drying available for 100 yen. "We stayed as a family of three, including an elementary school-aged child.
We paid the child's rate, but there were no amenities for the children and they had to sleep in the same bed as us, which was quite difficult with an older child. We didn't need amenities for everyone, but I would have liked at least towels for everyone.

"You can think of this hotel as a 'plus' version of a domestic Orange Hotel Crystal. The decor is that of a five-star hotel, but the price is that of a business hotel. The renovations were clearly done with great care, and the breakfast across all their locations maintains a consistent standard. They all feature a free rooftop hot spring bath with a view. I've stayed at various Candeo hotels in different locations, and overall, the bathroom facilities at the Ehime branch feel a bit old; I suspect it's an older hotel that was renovated without updating the bathrooms. In winter, since the windows don't open for ventilation, a lot of condensation builds up. At night, when there's a lot of condensation, it drips down the walls, leading to mold in those areas. This results in a musty smell when you first enter the room. It must also be quite a hassle for the cleaning staff to deal with the condensation in every room daily. What I disliked most was the lack of a duvet cover; a single sheet separates you from the duvet. I've only encountered this at the Ehime and Kagoshima branches, perhaps it's a local custom… there's nothing much one can do about it. Everything else was great."

NoiTabiThis is a very old, long-established hotel. The prices are affordable, and the staff provides excellent service. The dinner buffet offers a wide variety of choices, and the grilled meats in the buffet line are incredibly delicious – tender and not at all *****. There are several onsen (hot springs) to choose from, but the bathing areas are outside the building, so it can be a bit chilly. The hotel also has a museum and library, adding to its charming atmosphere. There's even live piano music in the evening, which is fantastic.

Guest UserWe wanted to experience Dogo Onsen and this was a great choice (albeit expensive because it was a holiday weekend). The hotel is lovely and the service is beyond excellent. The staff was super kind as we are English speakers. Plus, we really enjoyed the hotels onsens better than the ones in town (the Dogo Onsen is being renovated and only one room was open for each gender; the same was the case with the Annex). The hotels onsens were lovely and the private outdoor onsen was a really lovely experience. We also took advantage of their convenient bus service into town although it’s only a 10 minute walk and we walked multiple times. Highly recommend!

Anonymous UserAttention Henro sama! Perfect stay almost across street from T49. I had walked that day from T46. Onsen use included with hotel stay. Onsen water hot and alkaline slimy, my legs feel so much better after an evening and a morning soak. Breakfast was of wide selection, very satisfying. Stand up shower stall a bonus! Drip coffee machine in room also a nice touch. Very smart, modern hotel.

The hotel is super suitable for those who who aim for running away from modernization. And enjoy a peaceful moment of your own. Do remember you have to make reservations so that the staff will prepare dinner for you otherwise you need to drive a few miles to search for food elsewhere. The facilities are a bit aged but at least it doesn’t bother us from enjoying the stay.
