White Elephant Accomodation

We stayed for 5 nights (family of 5 with 3 older teenagers) with an ensuite cabin and a bunk room cabin. Beds were great, and rooms were clean and well appointed. The communal kitchen is clean and well organised. Kids loved the lounge with the pool table and hung out there most evenings. Lovely vibe at this place with a mix of working holiday travellers, back packers and families. Quiet and relaxing, highly recommended, thanks Lauren!
Avalon Manor Motel

We booked direct and were confirmed with the motel well ahead of time in July 2021 for a two bedroom unit for 3 persons for a one night stay in January 2022. On arrival, the owner told us she had made a mistake and our 2 bedroom unit was now occupied and we were given a one bedroom unit. Sleeping arrangement was one bed in the lounge and one double bed in the bedroom. As it was a one night stay, we reluctantly stayed, without any concession from the owner in the form of an apology. So take heed that your requested booked accommodation may not be what you get. It was a hot night during our stay, and there is no air conditioning. One portable fan was provided in the bedroom, and no cooling for the lounge. Hence, a very restless night. Location was convenient, easy walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. We paid $225NZ for our stay.

It's such an amazing vibe!!! Absolutely LOVED my stay here. I wish I could have stayed longer! The vibe, the staff, the veiws, everything was perfect. I've been all over the south island in my van, and this was BY FAR the best place I stayed at. The staff are super helpful, kitchens were clean, showers were hot (and included in the stay), and just The Barn itself is so homey I could see the Abel Tasman track from my campsite!! Cheers to The Barn!!! And Park Cafe for open mic night on Thursday

We finished off our 2 weeks in NZ with a 4 night stay at the QS Studios. The location in the middle of Queen St was perfect for us, and surrounded by shops with everything you need and many restaurants - the Thai one on site was excellent. The couple managing QS Suites are delightful and nothing was too much trouble. I congratulate them on their dedication. The studios are super clean and well appointed. The beds gave us the best sleep each night and a great hot shower with good pressure. The daily servicing of the studios was exceptional. There is a washing machine and dryer on site and parking was easy. All in all a GREAT STAY!
Mohua Motels

Wonderful relaxing surroundings, friendly owners, spotlessly clean motels. An absolute relaxing haven after a hard afternoon catching fat salmon at Anatoki and drinking way too much Corona. Great water pressure in the showers, coffee plunger, biscuits, great soaps etc. Exteremely clean, great aircon. Wooden shutters or opening louvres either side of ranch slider provide great ventilation. Already planning our next sty at Mohua! Thanks Heaps!
Abbey Court Motel

The trip to New Zealand is a very good Motel. I feel that the Motel here is just like a small villa. It is better than a chain hotel. It is a family room. There are 4 rooms and 2 rooms. There are two beds in the two rooms. Enough family accommodation; the car stops at the entrance of the villa, there is a water spray gun at the door to wash the car; the towel is clean and tidy, there are two bathrooms and two bathrooms, that is, the toiletries are not best prepared by yourself; drive to the business center in a few minutes There are a lot of restaurants; the proprietress is very friendly and welcoming, and the milk, chocolate and cookies prepared for the guests are very delicious; each small villa is surrounded by various plants and flowers; NICE
