"I stayed 4 nights at Centabay and overall it was ok- it is in a central location in Paihia close to the wharf. the structure needs more renovations but they do their best to keep it clean with the volunteers cleaning every day."

The location is excellent, right in the center of Pahia town. It's very convenient to get to the docks/bus stations/event meeting points, restaurants, and supermarkets—all within walking distance. A good place to break one's journey from Paihia via opinoni and waipoura forests back to Auckland. Dargaville is a small town with several Asian restaurants (recommend Suphan Thai in town) and a Woolworth's. This motel is located in the suburbs - a quiet and peaceful area away from traffic. Was surprised that the unit came with a kitchen (stove, fridge microwave oven) even though the room description only mentioned a LCD TV. WiFi was functional but slower than other places. Bedding was good. We couldn't find a hairdryer in the room.

The owner of this place was very friendly. was a plesant stay here. Theres peace and quite here at night, maybe part of the keri keri specialty.
Enjoyed my stay here with the pool and laundry service provided (chargeable) but convenient to still have.
Room was impressive and spacious with good equipment provided and items needed.
Bed was really comfy as well.... will surely be back again !!!

We stayed here for one night as a couple traveling down to Whangarei for an eye appointment. The location is absolutely excellent, and the eye clinic was conveniently just a short walk away from the motel. The on-site amenities were quite good, but unfortunately, the customer service was poor and the overall cleanliness of the place was only average. While the location is incredibly convenient for medical visits, the service and upkeep definitely need improvement.

The location of the hotel is good, not far from the pier. There are not many guests and parking is very convenient. There are places to eat not too far away. I checked in early in the morning and was given a room directly. The price-performance ratio is good.

Was an ok stay for one night slightly higher pricing and the mattresses were a bit past so not a good sleep unfortunately then we were rudely awoken by someone bashing on our door and didn't stop til we opened it only to go sorry wrong room this was at 7am unfortunately we left before open hours of the office or we would have asked for a partial refund on our stay

We booked a 1 bedroom apartment. It was clean and the service of the staff is good. The locatipn of the property was quite near the city centre, a short drive to the supermarkets.
The cooking utensils were rather basic, with some missing items. We asked the lady and she replaced them for us.
There was only one AC in the apartment, so we need to keep the bedroom door open at night.

We loved our stay here!!! They upgraded our room free of charge and nothing was too much to ask for. We ended up adding nights to our original booking, it was easy and no problem at all. Very clean and comfortable with everything one could possibly need. Super friendly family running this place. We will definitely stay here again.

Good sized room, looks modern and new, soft mattress, kitchenette with electric stove, microwave, fridge, oven, dining table with 2 chairs. Walking distance 5 min to beach. Free milk for breakfast. Fan could have been less dusty. No air con. Balcony with patio chairs.
