"Everything was good about this hotel. They serve fresh homemade bread every day — and it's free! The amenities were great, including a stove so we could cook. The only thing I think could be improved is the host’s friendliness. I only got to speak with him during check-in. Every day when we bumped into him, he seemed to avoid speaking with me. It would have been a perfect score if the host had been more friendly and made us feel welcome at the guesthouse."

"My stay at K’s House was pleasant overall. The staff were very friendly and helpful—they even took the time to give me tips and guidance on bus routes around Lake Yamanakako, which I really appreciated. The bunk beds were comfortable and well-designed, with convenient plug points provided, making it easy to charge devices. The facilities, including the toilets, were clean and well maintained. The only downside is the location—it’s about a 20-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station, which can feel a bit far, especially with luggage. Additionally, there is only one bathroom per floor, which might be slightly inconvenient during busy times. That said, I still had a good experience here and would recommend it for a comfortable stay with helpful staff."

"Many people criticize this B&B, so I'll say a few fair words. First of all, the landlord is an auntie who speaks a little English but not Chinese. She chatted with me in English when I checked in. Because it's a homestay, there are many rules, such as no smoking, throwing towels in a bamboo basket after taking a shower, trying to be quiet after 11pm, washing dishes after breakfast, etc. I live with my son, and these rules are not a big problem for us, so I feel good overall. And because I checked in before 8pm, the landlord sent breakfast, including bread, fried eggs, grilled sausage, and salad, which tasted really good."

"Approximately 11 min walk from the station which isn’t too bad. However, it might be quite a walk if you have 2 big luggages. Booked a private room on the 2nd floor and thankfully the staff (male) helped us carry our bags up the stairs. The shower was well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and lots of hot water and good pressure. Walls are rather thin so you can hear people walking up and down the stairs or even opening their bags. Hotel view was amazing from the room"
