Hostels in Veneto, Italy

"The facilities of the hostel were great, especially the lounging area was comfortable enough to sit and wait if one had been early for the check-in time. However, when we checked into our room long after the official check-in time, the beddings of a bunk bed were not made. In fact, cover sheets and blankets of those beds were just laid there all messy and one even had holes in it (shown in the pictures provided below). That was not the only inconvenience, however. A fire alarm in the hostel had been activated at 3 am of August 11th randomly, which rang for at least two hours, but management and staff were not as competent when handling an emergency situation like that in my opinion. Guests of the hostel had to be waken up with a banging noise of alarm in the midst of their sleep and evacuated outside to stand still for 2 full hours with no explanation or compromisation. It has to be considered that all kinds of people are being hosted in this hostel, such as the elderly, the children, and also disabled people who cannot be put under that kind of stress and also deprivation of sleep. If compromisation of a late check-out was made with customers, it would at least compensate for the inconvenience it brought to people."

"From the outside, the hostel looks very charming — it’s a beautiful villa surrounded by flowers. Inside, however, it feels like a fairly standard hostel. The room was extremely hot, and there was only one fan available, which went to whoever claimed it first. The upper bunk had no safety rail, so there is a real risk of falling out during the night. Instead of a proper power outlet by the bed, there was only an extension adapter located below, meaning you have to leave your phone or other valuable devices out of sight while charging. There is only one toilet per room, and it seemed that most guests were assigned to the same dorm. As a result, there was always a queue for our bathroom while the bathrooms in other rooms remained unused. Finally, the “breakfast included” option was quite misleading. It consisted of coffee and a couple of dry biscuits. Had I known that this was the breakfast offered, I would have preferred to book a different hostel without breakfast included."

"Blown away! The room was incredibly spacious, genuinely shocking upon entry! It's very close to the train station, and the hotel itself is a large building with its own restaurant and cocktail bar. You can enjoy drinks and music in the evening, and dine during the day. The Venetian specialties sold at the restaurant in the morning were absolutely delicious! One was only 2.9 euros, with soft bread packed full of meat! After trying one, it was so good I bought two more! There's also a fantastic focaccia shop very close to the hotel, selling huge ones for only 10.5 euros! Staying here was truly the smartest decision! We had a wonderful time in Venice yesterday. Be cautious with restaurants on Venice Island – water costs 5 euros a bottle and cover charge is 3 euros per person. Staying here, the food is great, and you don't have to drag your luggage up and down steps; getting to the island only requires buying a 1.5 euro ticket at a machine or counter! So convenient!! Everyone should stay here!!!!"

"The room was spacious, and the backyard was absolutely huge. The common areas were also very large. Service was excellent. Housekeeping clearly made an effort, but there were some signs of age. Unfortunately, there were cockroaches in the laundry room in the basement. The air conditioning couldn't be controlled independently and would shut off at night. This made the room incredibly, incredibly, incredibly hot during summer nights. Opening the window wasn't an option either due to the grassy area outside and an extreme amount of mosquitoes."

"The location is great – the train station is within walking distance, and there are cafes, restaurants, and a Lidl supermarket about a 25-minute walk away. The view from the window is pleasant. The room has everything you need: a kettle, hairdryer, and refrigerator. A big plus is the heated drying rack. The staff at the front desk are responsive and friendly. The only downside is the fire alarm (probably), which flashes brightly all day and all night. The only way to sleep is to cover your head completely with a blanket."

"I really enjoyed my stay on the island of Venice. The common areas are beautiful. I happened to be on the top bunk, which was a bit of a climb, but there is an elevator. However, the elevator only goes to the second floor, and I was on the third, so it's not accessible for people with disabilities. Overall, it was quite clean and tidy. I had my own bed, and right outside the door were several restaurants, directly facing the sea. I loved the atmosphere of the seaside restaurants."

"The shower only had cold water, but they fixed it that same day. The padlocks they use at the front desk aren't very good quality. The shower and toilet area has a motion sensor, so the lights turn off while you're showering, leaving it completely dark. Those showering late at night should be aware of this. The room was clean, and I appreciated the curtains on the bed. There's no kitchen, but there is a microwave."

"We enjoyed our stay at combo venezia,very clean comfy bed and big space for 3. With mini kitchen dining tables,cooker,fridge . Clean bathroom with toiletries and towels. Such a shame,we only stay for 1 night. I have to leave early as my flight is early,the lovely gentleman at the reception packed me with my foodies as I missed my free breakfast ,the rest of my family has to check out later than me and they say the breakfast is lovely. Location is very close to Central and to the water bus station B F.T.Nove station via (Alilaguna)just 2 minutes or less maybe to the Hotel . Only 2stops to and from the airport of Marco Polo. Highly recommend, definitely will booked here again next time.👍"

"Location is a bit far from city center, about 10 minutes by walking. The staff is friendly and so helpful,  There's a well equipped kitchen, plus free coffee and tea, overall, it's value for the price! "

"The staff were kind, and the location is incredibly convenient. The courtyard is beautiful, and I really liked the antiques in the entrance and other areas. My only complaints were the lack of screens on the windows and the poor construction, which meant the windows were left open at night, allowing mosquitoes in. Fortunately, I checked all four corners of the bed, and there were no bed bugs! Also, the shower on the third floor only had cold water. I recommend using the showers on the second or fourth floor. Aside from these two points, I had a wonderful time, and I sincerely thank you for everything."
