My husband and I stayed in a Superior Double Room for two days at the beginning of March. We had a wonderful view of the park and the Eiffel Tower. The room is beautiful to look at, but a little damaged in some parts (for example the shower). The biggest problem of the room was the ventilation system, as it smelled of the drain several times. The cleaner does her job, as she cleans the room daily, but the problem is exclusively ventilation. I might also point out that you can hear the chairs being moved in the bar in the room. I would also suggest that a different choice of breakfast be made every day, as it was the same breakfast twice. However, I would like to conclude by praising the staff, who were friendly at all times.

The rooms were small but clean. There were small cubes where to save your stuff but not even a carry on would fit there. The private bathrooms were ok but there were no towels to even dry my hands on or to step out the shower afterwards, so everything was a bit wet. Sometimes I could not get it into the common bathrooms for some reason and I know I was not the only one (problems with hostel card) We asked whether they could add us all to the same 4-bed room since we were 3. They said they could and afterwards they did not 'by mistake' so this was a bit disappointing. The place in general was awesome, it was very nice, clean, friendly staff. They also have lockers where to store your luggage if needed. Breakfast was a bit expensive but totally worth it. Location was convenient since there is a metro station just around the corner, so it was pretty easy to move around such a big city. I would probably go again.

Had a really good stay there! I went with one friend and we met amazing people! The bar is cheap and nice!! A perfect way to meet new friends from around and from the hostle. I recommend. Our windows was broken and they fixed it! It’s not Wow but it’s still cute! The bathroom is really basic.

I don't expect luxury from a hostel, but I do expect cleanliness. On the surface the hostel appears clean. Most importantly, the bed sheets and mattress are clean. However, look beyond that and you'll see it's filthy and obviously never given a deep clean. Down the side of the lower bunk there is what must be months and months of rotten food, old socks, dirt and dust that has been allowed to collect. No wonder the room smells so musty and stuffy. My bunk had blood streaks from a squashed bug (and live mosquitoes flying about), as well as sticky finger prints all over the bed panels and window. Furthermore, the noise level is crazy. I understand on a Friday people want to party so the bar was blasting out music and the 1st floor rooms are not sound proof - I actually didn't mind that. What annoyed me was the fact that they were blasting music through the speakers in the 1st floor toilet/shower rooms. WHY?! This made the room and hallways even noisier. Its only saving grace is the location (and free wi-fi). It can feel a bit dodgy walking through there alone as a single woman at night, but so can any big city... The hostel is close to some great bars, restaurants, and tourist attractions (Père Lachaise Cemetery, for example). I'd recommend hiring a bike to get around - there's quite a few Vélib' bike stations a short walk away.

The real room is better than the one in the photo, because I stayed there for one night and got on the plane, so it’s still pretty good. We just checked in at night, so we had dinner there. They said they had a welcome drink. When we asked about the drink, the waiter there didn't speak English, but he pretended to understand what we said in English, which caused a misunderstanding. When placing the order, I was asked twice if this was the Welcome drink? She quickly smiled and said Yes, Ok, no problem, and in the end we had to pay for the drinks we ordered. When we finally called the manager to resolve the misunderstanding, they initially said it was our problem, and that Common Sense would not provide drinks on the menu, and that we all have trained staff. Really OMG, the service really has a lot of room for improvement. Although I know that when you go to a different country, you really need to learn their local language, but I think that in a hotel next to the airport, which is also an international city, the employees must have basic English speaking skills and be able to receive international tourists. The hotel room is clean and tidy, as long as you don't go to the restaurant, communication can't be done, and it feels uncomfortable to have to pay in the end.

A very strange way of organising toilets. They have two separate rooms: one for ablutions and another for bathing. The former does not have a washbasin. So if one has to wash his/her hands after doing the ‘job’ they have to come out and then go in the other room. God forbid if that room is occupied at that time. You are then left standing with soiled hands. Not many activities to do in the hostel. I’ve been to a fair number of hostels across Europe and they are generally very lively places. But this one particularly gave out a very sad vibe. The staff is clueless about major transit or tourist options. I asked one of the staff about the train to take to Versailles, and he just shrugged and told me that since he had never been to Versailles he could not help me. Overall it’s an average hostel and considering that it’s a little far away from the city centre, it can be avoided.

I am also confirming that my 20-inch suitcase is locked. And double locked in the 30-inch luggage. And the laptop is locked in the iron cabinet provided by the hotel, and the lock is double-checked. before leaving the room. PM 18:40 I return to the hotel. After charging in the lobby on the first floor, return to the second floor at 19:40 PM. This is a Youth Hostel, not a 'backpackers hostel', so while there are plenty of young people staying, there are also families, school trips and older adults. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a private 2 bunk room with shower (no toilet). The rooms are very basic but include a wash basin, and have comfortable beds. There was clothes storage and a table and chairs. It was much larger than hotels I've stayed in in Paris. There were two sockets in the room, which weren't very accessible, but with an EU plug and 3m cable they were fine to charge phones from. The doors were heavy (as in most hotels) and toilets were shared, meaning it could be loud with people moving about at night, however earplugs easily blocked the noise! Breakfast was included, which was a varied and fresh offering. There was also a well equipped guest kitchen with fridges. Guests can use the refectory for socialising and eating meals, there is also a games room/bar with entertainment. The location was in a residential area with good transport links, but also walkable to central Paris in under an hour through other residential neighbourhoods. On Saturdays most intersections had a food or flea market. Ideal for traveling on a budget.

The cabin room was actually pretty small & tight to start with. It actually is a 4 bed dormitory divided into 4 cabins (made of wood). There isn't enough space in the room because it's literally just the bed. So you can easily hear what the other person is playing on the mobile. Moreover, the breakfast is pretty basic. The staff at the reception was very helpful, I requested for a late checkout and they helped me.

My flight got delayed, so I arrived late to the hostel around 2 AM on the night of March the 10th ”My reservation was from the 9th, so no problem” I seemed to wake up the receptionist who suddenly got busy on phone but had done the check in procedures, I reconfirmed it's a bottom bunk bed ”due to a medical condition, I can't climb” he said Yes Yes.. My room is on the 5th floor, I was fine and asked if there's a lift, he said Yes Yes ”basically was busy on phone and didn't even listen to what I was saying” I went up ”no lift btw but it was okay” to find the bed assigned is on top, and there was only one person in the room! I went down again asking if I can take the vacant bottom bed, then he got mad!! No you can't, wait for my colleague in the morning to see if he can move you. I asked if I can stay at the reception till then, but no it's closed... So I will just stay here in front of the Reception desk I replied. I affirmed I had my request delivered for a bottom bed, there was only one person in the room, so why can't I just get any?! He got very mad; started to call me crazy, and then shifted to the ”I don't speak English” and saying Me NO ME NO ME NO... He then approached very very close waiving threatening with his finger ”saying we are not discriminating you”!!! What? Who said discrimination?!! Then, I started to film his attitude with my cell phone right away as it was that close it gets physical.. He panicked when I started to film and called the police on me and asked me to go spend the night in the kitchen!!! Unluckily for him, I can understand French pretty well but I only speak English... He asked the police to come because I was making a fuss and a scandal. The police arrived like 30 mins later, while me shaking and waiting in front of the desk as he vanished when I started to film. Very Unluckily for him, the police was very supportive to me and they spoke English... When I told them the whole story; they asked him to return my money as long as they didn't adhere to my request for bottom bed, it's a medical condition but he was so rude to them as well saying, It's not his problem! He refused to refund saying tomorrow in the afternoon I come back to his colleagues be refunded. The police stayed with me till I booked another hotel for the night and THEY SAID IT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY RECEIVE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PERSON but they can't file a case against him since it didn't get physical. While booking an alternative accommodation at 3 AM outside in the street, he called me in to give my money back!! This is a story I wanted to share, a story of lying, aggressive, and rude receptionist. Ah, and to the police; he stated that there's someone taking the bottom bed... While the key of the bottom bed was actually left on the check out tray!!! If you want ur days ruined and both yours physical and psychological health abused and tortured go to this place and deal with this man in particular. I dare their management

The location is very good, just at the foot of the hill on the other side of the Sacre-Coeur. It takes a few minutes to walk up. The slope is not steep. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is great. For Paris, the price/performance ratio is very high. I will definitely stay here next time I go to Paris. here

A perfect place to stay when you travel alone. Cheap, clean, safe. It seems like there is a lot of other ”alone travelers” here. Its also a resturant with a nice place to sit outside nearby the river. It seems like a social, relaxed place, but also a place where you perfektly can sit alone. Really liked this place! Recomenned! The staff is also very helpful, and gives good service. And ofc: Its Paris! I love Paris.
