"I had a private room on the rooftop.
Pros: the rooms are pretty clean and the bedding is clean. The bathrooms are separate and shared use, but the set-up of the ladies bathrooms is good, the shower area is private and you have your own space to change. The hostel organises a lot of group activities, so u can meet ppl if u wish
Cons: the beds are hard and mattresses are thin. You will not be able to sleep on them. I ended up taking the doona from one bed and putting it on top of the other, and still struggled to sleep. Being on the rooftop, each room has chairs outside to sit and chill, this means that people come back at 2, 3, 5am or whatever and sit and talk/drink, and the sound goes right through the thin windows/doors.
