"This was my first time staying in a female-only hostel, and Strawberry Hostel immediately won me over! I genuinely recommend it to all solo female travelers looking for a short-term stay. What really stood out to me was the all-female guest policy. There are no male guests in the entire hostel, so no matter how late I returned, I felt completely safe. I didn't have to worry about unfamiliar people coming and going, and the host clearly states in the guest rules that male guests are not allowed. This truly maximized my sense of security while traveling alone. The interior design is incredibly thoughtful. Everywhere you look, there are various figurines and dolls collected by the owner. The wall shelves, hooks, and even the top of the refrigerator are filled with adorable ornaments. The vintage red brick walls are complemented by atmospheric circular pendant lights, irregular full-length mirrors, a rotating bookshelf filled with books, and a wish wall covered with traveler's messages. Every corner is gentle and healing, perfect for taking beautiful photos. The common area has plush sofas, and relaxing on one, cuddling a plush toy, and just zoning out instantly smoothed away my travel fatigue. Thoughtfulness is evident in every detail: the refrigerator has clear guest rules posted, outlining sleep schedules, toiletries, and luggage storage policies, and the Wi-Fi password is easy to find. The common areas have warm reminders, regulating quiet hours and usage guidelines, ensuring a peaceful and quiet stay. The check-in and check-out processes are simple, and you can even store your luggage for free, which is super convenient for temporary storage. Whether it's for budget travel, a short business trip, or temporary accommodation for studying, this place is perfect. The value for money is great, and the house full of cute decorations and warm ambiance makes the hostel feel as comfortable as a temporary home. I've already recommended it to my traveling girlfriends, and I'll definitely choose Strawberry Hostel again next time!"

"At 26 yuan a night, what more can you ask for? The sheets and duvet covers are changed daily, there are shared bathrooms (single cubicles), free laundry, free private lockers, a few fitness equipment, the front desk staff are friendly, and the surrounding area is convenient for getting around and eating (Daming Lake Station, subway station, and bus station are all very close, and there are many small restaurants). I really can't find any fault with it except for the lack of privacy."

"The restrooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the front desk staff provided excellent service, which I really appreciate. 👍 However, there are three points I'd like to mention: 1. As soon as I opened the room door, there was a strong musty smell. I stayed for two days and was moved to two different rooms, both of which had the same issue. 2. Could the air conditioning in the room be set to silent or low fan speed? It's not that hot at night in Yantai at this time of year. The AC noise was really disruptive to sleep. 3. There were so many mosquitoes in the room; I killed three or four in one night, and they kept biting me. I think this might be because many guests tend to leave their room doors ajar without using their key cards when they go out to grab something, creating a small gap. I really want to complain about these guests. Why do the staff give you key cards if you're not going to use them and instead leave the door open for everyone to see?"

"I have stayed here for three nights. The hostel seems to be quite new, so don't let the low amount of reviews dissuade you. The location in my opinion is great, there are a bunch of restaurants in the area, public transportation, a bit far away from the beach area, but very close to other points of interest in the city. The shower was great, I have stayed in quite a lot of hotels and hostels in China, and not many had such a great shower like here. If you are a western like me, who likes using a ”normal toilet” they have both kinds. The hostel also has a bar, and I am not sure if it is every weekend, but there was a guy performing, who I must say, sang very well, I might even say better than the original singers. I kind of ha a problem find the hostel so I had to call them and have them pick me up. So if you are blind like, the hostel is located behind the building on the corner, you have to pass through a parking lot, there are also signs in the parking lot, which I noticed much later. Once you see something that looks like a half cafe half clothing store, then you have arrived at the location."

"This hostel opened this year, and when I visited during the off-season, there were hardly any people. The hostel is huge, with a large common area and each room is also very spacious. It even has a washer-dryer combo. The owner is incredibly nice, but his photography skills are a bit poor. To be honest, seeing the pictures he took didn't even make me want to come, but once I arrived, I found the environment to be exceptionally nice. There's also a large balcony outside the common area, and every morning when I wake up, the sun shines through the windows, making it super warm. I stayed in a four-person room, and the lockers had clothes hangers. It's definitely worth staying in. It's super close to Hanlefang (a food delivery platform), making ordering takeout incredibly convenient."

"Stayed in a quad room, which was very comfortable. After a long day of exploring, I'd just collapse onto the soft pillow and fall right to sleep – it was incredibly restful. They even had beer in the lobby, and I went out with my friends. That youthful spirit is truly precious. Next time, I'll continue to explore other 'Decade of Backpacking' hostels, haha!"

"The location is perfect. 200 meters away from Daming Lake. Service is super cool, clean. I would like to suggest improving the air conditioning quality, provide toothbrush-toothpaste-minitowel."

"Overall, it was great! The lady who checked me in was lovely and very attentive. In the evenings, they even organized games for guests, which was a nice touch. The facilities are really comprehensive; everything from water dispensers to coffee machines looked brand new. Due to a change in my plans, I had to check out early, and they were incredibly helpful with that. The only downside was that, being in an 8-person dorm, it could get a bit noisy, especially with some roommates coming back late. I also think they could add and emphasize more rules, like tidying up after eating takeout, keeping the washroom counter clean, and not playing videos out loud in the room at night, just to help everyone maintain a pleasant shared space."

"Pretty good! Everyone was quiet and considerate, and by 11 PM, even the dogs were silent. If you like cats, you can even pet them, haha. The owner was also available whenever we called. The only minor drawback was that the bed creaked a bit, but everything else was excellent. The hygiene was maintained diligently, and the downstairs keypad lock felt very secure."

"This youth hostel has an elegant environment and a superb view. From the window, you can see the scenery of Yantai Mountain & Binhai Square. Sitting there, listening to music, drinking tea & coffee, chatting, daze, office, are super cool 👍 Complete facilities, comfortable bed, clean and hygienic, the boss and his wife are attentive, and the feedback problem is dealt with in a timely manner 🙏👍 It is extremely convenient to eat, drink and play around 👍 The price/performance ratio should not be too fragrant ✌🌹"
