"The location is pretty good, with convenient access to both the subway and bus. The only downside is an unavoidable uphill walk, but taking the A23 bus from the airport can shorten that distance a bit. The accommodation itself is decent; the room isn't small and even has two bathrooms. It's very clean. The downsides are that the beds don't have curtains for privacy, and the bottom bunk is really easy to bump your head on. The hairdryer in the common pantry has very weak airflow and isn't very useful. Other than that, everything else is good, and I would still highly recommend it."

"The guy at the reception was super handsome, I'm smitten! The service was warm and welcoming, the bed was so comfortable, and the duvet smelled lovely and fresh, I slept really well. The location is super close to West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station. I added them on WeChat and the owner sent me a guide. Looking forward to seeing that handsome guy again next time!"

"The hostel is conveniently located near Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, surrounded by many brand-name shops, and it's also easy to find late-night food. The rooms are well-equipped with air conditioning, and the bathroom has plenty of hot water. The common areas are spacious with lots of room for activities, and there's a fridge and water dispenser, making dining very convenient. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended!"

"The location is fantastic! Ancasa Hotel is right across from Kowloon Park, on Tsim Sha Tsui's main thoroughfare. But then again, nothing in Hong Kong is really far. On the day of check-in, the hotel sends room and password details via Trip.com. If the front desk isn't staffed at night, you can self-check-in. All rooms have keypads. The soundproofing is decent. I woke up in the middle of the night and heard two men chatting right outside my door... even with the door closed, I could still hear a little, but they stopped making noise later. The bathroom is shared, with two shower stalls and two toilets, and three sinks. It's shared by two rooms, and I never had to wait. Honestly, the occupancy rate of shared bathrooms in mixed-gender hostels seems to be lower. 😂 There are bed curtains, but you need to bring your own UK adapter. No drinking water is provided. The view from the room window is quite nice."

"First time visiting Hong Kong! The hotel is about an eight-minute walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR station. There's a Café de Coral right outside the station, which serves decent food. We stayed in a four-person female dorm, and the communal bathroom was conveniently located inside the room, making showering and using the toilet super easy. The air conditioning was strong, which was a huge relief after a long day of walking around. The front desk staff were very friendly and even offered free luggage storage for a day."

"Location: Taking the A11 bus from the airport costs just over 40 HKD and drops you right downstairs. There's a Mannings downstairs, perfect for some shopping. Causeway Bay is also only one or two bus stops away. Facilities: Even the dorm rooms maintain good hygiene. The common areas are great for some quiet time or as a spot to meet and chat with other travelers. There's also complimentary coffee. Service: Besides being a backpacker hostel, they also offer tickets to some unique bars. You can book them at the front desk."

"This was my first time staying in a hostel, and even though I was in a twin room rather than a bunk bed, I still experienced a wonderful sense of community. Before checking in, a car accident on the way to Shenzhen Bay Port caused a nearly three-hour traffic jam, making me miss the hostel's stated latest check-in time and the shuttle bus. So, I had to walk up the hill. However, after communicating with the staff that evening, they still waited for us and very warmly helped us check in and explained the hostel facilities. (P.S. When we mentioned to the front desk staff that a taxi had refused to take us up the mountain, two aunties expressed their sympathy and pointed out that Hong Kong drivers shouldn't do that and that we could file a complaint. They advised that next time, we should get in the taxi first before stating our destination to avoid such issues. Although one of the aunties spoke Cantonese, which I didn't fully understand at first, her demeanor showed she was definitely a kind person). The hostel room's outlets came with both Type-C and USB ports, which was incredibly convenient for travelers from mainland China. The hostel's view is also exceptional. At night, you can see the Victoria Harbour skyline, and from a distance, you can even catch a glimpse of Disneyland's fireworks (unfortunately, it rained that day so I didn't see them). The facilities are also very comprehensive. If you're hungry, you can cook something in the restaurant yourself (just remember to wash up afterward). Although the toilets and showers are shared, the privacy is well-maintained. There are a few tables in the open-air plaza, where social guests can experience hostel culture, and if the weather's good, people often play board games there. If I ever visit Hong Kong again, this hostel will definitely be my first choice. When leaving, the same warm auntie who helped us check in bid us farewell and invited us to return, bringing the experience full circle. I'm so glad my first hostel experience was with this place, and I'm very grateful for the excellent stay it provided."

"I had a pleasant, quiet, and comfortable stay for two nights. The owner was kind to let me check in early and got me acquainted with the interesting spaces within the hostel. The amenities nearby served me well - ＜10 mins walk to the nearest train station, a supermarket across the road, and some eateries. Highly recommended for solo and/or female travellers."

"This hostel is super convenient, located right in Tsim Sha Tsui. Just exit A1 from the MTR and cross the road, and you're there! I stayed in room 1302 of Haiphong Mansion. The owner who checked me in was incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely caring. On the first day, she arranged for us to stay on the 9th floor in an 8-person room. The beds were clean, and the bedding was comfortable. It's definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Hong Kong."

"Tung Chung - 2 nights - private double room Expectation/Reality: this is the only provider of accommodation in the area so expectations need to be managed. They have the ability to essentially set terms, so the negative reviews here are likely from the folks who didn’t read the find print. The photos match the space very well. However the hostel reached out over what’s app a number of days before the booking asking for the $150 membership fee and $500 deposit, which I was not comfortable providing until arrival, however the hostel was okay with that. Security: very good, there is a gate lock and a lock to the door, very safe. Hygiene: overall very clean, no concerns. Hospitality: the check in and out process is all over what’s app, so you are at the mercy of how responsive they are which can be frustration when trying to get in. Once you are in, it’s fine. Social Atmosphere: good social spaces. Overall: given they essentially have a monopoly on accommodation in the area. It’s a pretty good spot. I accidentally broke the key and they came and fixed it the next day, but took off $50 from the deposit. So handle the keys gently. Over pretty good place."
