Hostels in Hong Kong, China

I am writing this based on my experience. We all have different opinions, and satisfactions. So overall for me is a 10/10 experience, its near at the mtr, busses and taxi’s. Also, a place comfy enough to sleep with. On our 8 days and 7 nights experience, we never encounter any difficulties or problems. The Aircon (AC), heater, lights, and flush are working. If you are going on a vacation here at HK, and looking for a place that is comfortable to sleep with. Few walks, from the hostel to MTR station, and your destination. Its also, near at K11 Mall, and victoria harbour which make this hostel a good option. And also, the fist day, we noticed the notes and its kinda witty, and we loved it 😂. It doesn’t matter to us, what our hostel looks like, as long as it was nice and comfortable to stay with. Note: If you didn’t receive and towels, you’re out of plastics, tissue. DON’T hesitate to message them (they are nice and friendly) and ask for it. If i’ll go back again, I’ll probably choose this hostel! I’m writing this right while riding the bus, and some of you may not care. Anyways, the date is April 30, 2026. Very Recent. Good price, good experience. ❤️

I really enjoyed my stay here! It was especially cool for me to stay in this particular building because it's where the famous movie 'Chungking Express' was filmed. That alone makes the place special and gives it a unique vibe. The room was clean, cozy, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room cool, which was especially important in the hot and humid weather. I also want to give a special shout-out to the host. He was very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. Check-in was quick, and I was even able to check in earlier than the set time.

My bunkmate snored all night, and I barely slept. I was so upset! :-( BUT! There was a super, super kind and gentle middle-aged man at the front desk, I think he was ********* (judging by his accent). He had such a great personality! Completely different from what I've heard online about Hongkongers having bad tempers or discriminating against mainlanders. I was already upset about the snoring on the top bunk, which made it hard to sleep, but that's just something you have to deal with in a hostel, it's all luck of the draw. But the front desk uncle was just amazing!!! I'd give him a million thumbs up! He's the one with the gentle voice, glasses, and a buzz cut. I checked in at night and then checked out and stored my luggage around 6 AM the next morning. If the owner sees this, please know it was this gentleman working during those hours. Please give him a raise, hahahaha!

Staff was very good room was clean and the receptionist what very friendly with us we like the room we stay here for night everything was good and the location is perfect and they do everyday housekeeping in the room

The room was comfortable and clean, and the bedding was spotless. If you're not used to disposable towels, you can bring your own. It was perfectly fine for one person. The air conditioning and ventilation system worked great, so it never felt stuffy. All in all, for Hong Kong's high prices, under 500 a night on a weekend with a private bathroom, clean and tidy, this place offers incredibly good value for money. The location is super convenient – you can see Haiphong Mansion right after exiting the MTR station. The front desk uncle and the younger guy were both very friendly and helped with any requests. Before I left, they even helped arrange a luxurious and comfortable large business car to take me to the airport. Highly recommended!

It offers a premium, boutique feel without the eye-watering price tag of the five-star giants nearby. It is a masterclass in how to do urban hospitality right. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Hong Kong. If you see an opening, **book it immediately**—places this good don’t stay vacant for long!

The front desk and the room are not in the same area, the front desk is in A, and the room is in D. People arrived late, Peter at the front desk was very enthusiastic, and he also upgraded the independent guard and introduced the details of the stay. like

Relatively easy to get to, with easy communication with the Guesthouse owners. The location is great- right in front of the Kowloon mosque which was great for us, indicating availability of halal food nearby. Within walking distance of the mtr, tourist attractions and shops (7e is right below). We took the Cityliner from the airport and got dropped off at the nearest stop which was great! Room was super tight, with small bathroom with a shower head right above the toilet. The toilet doors required some manoeuvring because it could close but was somewhat disconnected from each sliding panel (with evidence of some bugs stuck between the panels, I can understand, in rather hard to reach places).Otherwise, clean enough room and very quiet. Enough space under the beds to store luggage but otherwise, just enough space around the room for a single person to walk about, so we had to take turns and mostly sat on our beds. For very short stays, seems like a good place.

I've booked here many times. They clean thoroughly every day, so it's much cleaner than the other hostels I've stayed at here in Hong Kong. There's water and a kettle available outside of the rooms. While the owner and workers are quite accommodating, they only really speak Cantonese and Mandarin, so just be prepared for that.

It’s a shame as it could be a good place it’s got the makings but needs some attention..The worst thing is they need new mattresses in the pods as there about 2cm thick it’s like sleeping on the floor I was waking up every night having to move as I was in a bit of pain and there was cock roaches coming out of the fridge as it needed a clean Also the toilet paper needs more in every day as it was running out daily. Also the aircon was leaking next to my pod I sent them a message to turn it off as it was not that hot when I was there ans they had it in the other rooms so you could of left the door open or  better still get it fixed as I was there for 4 day and nothing I would not stay again but if them issues was taken care of I would as it’s not a bad place.
