Would recommend Accuracy All the pictures and amenities are pretty accurate to what you get Hosting Friendly. They don't speak much English, but it is fine communicating over translate apps. The lady helped answer questions via wechat throughout my stay. Even messaged me to check I was ok when she hadn't seen me which I appreciated as a solo traveller Security Solid security as there's a code on the front door and the room door Travel context I thought September was the start of autumn so it'd be sunny but cooler, but it is so hot! Even though it is in walking distance to a few places like Shibati, Jiefangbei street, subway stations, those 15 minute walks are tough in the heat so either adjust the amount of days you stay to take into account for the fact you can't fit as much in after 5 pm, or travel at a different time of year haha Location The directions on even Chinese maps are awful so beware if you're coming in the hot months and are planning on walking from the nearest subway station. I didn't notice this, but they did message instructions over trip as well so check your messages Accessibility I think it is stairs only (there's not too many). There is a cat roaming about so note that if you're allergic - I only tend to react when I make contact with the hairs and I didn't react whilst I stayed here so it must be pretty clean (there's locks on the room doors so I guess the cat can't roam about too much) Room Mattress pretty thin, but I have found most are like that in Chinese hostels. Comfy pillow and duvet. It would be nice if the curtains were a bit longer to fully block light/the occasional moth from coming underneath, but overall they do the job of maintaining privacy. Was upgraded from 6 bed to 4 bed, both look pretty similar but 4 bed is slightly further from bathroom so I guess less disturbance in the morning, plus it has a vanity area. A few steps down to the 6 bed area, there is a rack for hanging clothes and a balcony Amenities Water and soft drinks for sale (self-service in fridge) Bathroom Shampoo and body wash. Hair dryer. Decent showers. I think there were only squat toilets

The best hostel I had so far in China! It was very clean inside the room, I enjoyed privacy in my bed due to the curtains, had power at the bed, the location of the hostel was perfect just over the metro station and the cats were really cute! I was very happy with my stay and the price was really really good! Can recommend!

I booked 8 beds female dorm and the room is clean, comfy, and spacious! Bed, bedding, pillow are all amazing, solid wooden bed frame - no sound. Great window view too but could hear a little noise from the street - the hostel provides earplugs for free! Also complimentary clean towel, bottled water, indoor slippers. The hostel organise lunch & dinner & drinking event, can ask front staffs for more info. Lunch was great! There’re about 4 cats and they’re super chill. Doesn’t smell at all. Staffs are super helpful, overall many lovely people. Location : take Exit 9 of Xiaoshizi station. Turn right and walk all the way towards a Chinese bank, 9th floor of XinChongQing apartment (新重庆公寓)。

Best affordable hostel. The location was great with many food options with a wide range of prices. Near a subway. Clean and spacious beds and facilities. Even lockers are in the right size. My towels were changed every day, and i was also given bottled water every day. Staff were accommodating and had ways to communicate with foreigners. They have paid washing machines which required chinese number, but as a foreigner, i was able to use it with the receptionist help. Almost every corner is spotless from dirt. Best stay for young adults who wanted to explore chongqing city without spending too much.

youth hostel with positive vibes. warm and cozy music playlist make you feel at home. staff all are young and dynamic ppl. its a one floor property so you can experience all activities, music, coffee corner, working desk, meal corner, from the momment you walk in . it is inside a building, you would need take public lift to get the hotel. building lobby a bit sketchy but dun worry its safe . for me , everything okay, just the bed is too old. its not sunken but it is so hard and i can feel the spring . i asked additional duvet to layer the mattress, the young boy gave it to me and asked me to settle my self bcs its not their or aunt's job. hehe . anyway, i recommend and would like stay here again .

Located near a metro and food street. The windows aren’t soundproof so it’s loud in the rooms and difficult to get peace and quiet. Also, can hear people in the hallways and people taking a shower or using a blow dryer in other rooms so it’s disturbing. Would be nice to have a table and chair in the room to sit but there isn’t

I already stayed in their hostel in Xi'an, and it was great so I booked again here, and honestly just as good! The location is great, in an older more traditional alley, and the service is just as good. The beds ae really comfy, and the staff really helpful and welcoming. I definitely recommend!

The earth is a sphere, and my travels have gone round and round, and it seems that I have returned to the starting point. This time, just like last year, it was also at the end of April, and I also decided to go alone, to Chongqing, and stayed in the same youth hostel - Hongya Riverside. The moment I entered the youth hostel, the wifi automatically connected. I saw the same faces (management) as I saw last year. I suddenly felt the meaning of the idiom ”feel at home”. The second time I came here, I was able to navigate the place with ease. Unlike last time when I was wandering around and couldn’t find the building, it feels so good to grow gradually while traveling! When I came into the hall, I began to feel the changes compared to last year. There were more things to borrow by self-service, more details, and a lot of women's products available. It was so warm! This time I stayed in a newly built all-female room, which made me feel safe and provided more supplies in the public area than in the previous room. We were all girls, so we would get to know each other and chat at night, which was great. By the way, I met a cute little high school girl on my first day! The manager asked us if we knew each other, and we didn’t. But then we started chatting for some reason, haha. I think the key is that we are both sincere little girls! (Hehe) She told me about her love history, hahahaha I talked to her about how to skip classes in college (dog head) She helped me put on makeup, we went out to eat together, and then went to the community I wanted to go to take pictures, we took pictures of each other, and when we came back, we collapsed on the sofa exhausted...
