Very cost-effective, located in the heart of downtown, convenient for subway, easy to walk, friendly service, unique experience of prison building. I will stay here again. Nice experience in jail hostel Ottawa and nice memories in Canada.

Only one problem: the shower didn't work very well and the light was too strong, it couldn't be regulated!

Good location, free parking, the first choice for self-driving tour, breakfast is very western, the room is clean, the sound is very good, the reception is also good, not far from the city, the surrounding is slightly deserted.

Very nice location, friendly and helpful staff!! Free breakfast is great, delicious coffee and bagels. But there are not enough toilets. And the kitchen is quite small so it gets very crowded during dinner hours (plus people like chatting in the kitchen while watching a pot of water boiling). I didn't want to line up to use the stove or microwave to reheat my food so I had raw dinner during my stay. If you plan your meals and cooking well enough you should be fine.

The shower is not so good. The location is very good. It's 10 minutes walk from Gare d'autocar. The price-performance ratio is high. The two female receptionists I met were very nice. The soundproofing of the room is not good. I have to touch my roommate. But it's a fully enclosed space with a charging port and a separate TV space. It's ok for sleeping. There is a convenience store next to it in 1 minute.

We received great service during our stay in Quebec City. Two roomy rooms for our two families. The kids loved the recreation areas: darts, foosball, billiards, TV room. The adults appreciated the friendly service, from the booking process to our actual stay. We could put our food in the refrigerator, re-freeze our ice packs which is very handy when you’re on a family road trip. Quebec City did not disappoint and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The Auberge is right in the old city so you can walk everywhere.

Came to Quebec City for Carnaval. Chose this hotel for the location and price and it delivered on both fronts. Right in the middle of Old Quebec, we could see Chateau Frontenac from our window and were across the street from parking and surrounded by restaurants and shops. 5 minutes to the river and 5 minutes to Carnaval site. Very helpful staff and cozy accommodations. Room had bed, TV with Roku, sink, desk, chairs, dresser, closet, and lamp. Soap and 2-in-1 shampoo provided as well as towels and face cloths. Bathroom was close and had everything you need. Check in and out was a breeze. Clean all around. Do not book this accommodation if you struggle with stairs, as there is no way to get into the building otherwise. We stayed on the 4th floor and the stairs were steep and uneven but we didn't mind it and it added to the charm. Ceilings can be low in some places. Only lost one star because of the bathroom, it was difficult to access the toilet without ducking or hitting your head on the sloped ceiling, and the bed was a little uncomfortable.

The location is average but there is a parking lot! The hotel is small but very clean! Although the breakfast is simple in style, it tastes good and you don't need a breakfast ticket. It's very generous! The one I saw in the morning should be the proprietress, she spoke very softly. A small hotel managed with care :)

Came up from the States for a weekend visit with friends without any expectations since we just found this place from a Google search, but it was an absolutely perfect fit for us. The receptionist was very friendly and explained everything clearly, as well as giving us directions to cheap parking. The dorm room was neat and the decor everywhere was charming. The rooftop terrace especially was a lovely place to sit out in the evening. In the morning the communal breakfast felt lively but not too loud and the coffee was delicious. For the location and the price, all of us would absolutely return.

The hotel is in the old town, very close to the attractions and within walking distance. Just in time for the Christmas season in Quebec City, the streets and alleys are all dressed up with various Christmas decorations, and the lights are very beautiful at night. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, with two large beds very comfortable. Because there is no elevator in the old house, the residents can only climb the stairs, but fortunately, they can exercise on the third floor. There is a Thai restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, and the business is good. I originally booked a room without breakfast. I upgraded it to include breakfast at the front desk. Thank you very much. The parking fee for two nights was also confiscated before checking out. This trip was really worthwhile.

In early May, I stayed for a couple of weeks at the Auberge St-Jacques because my husband had a kidney transplant at The Glen. We have stayed at this establishment many times in the past because he had appointments with specialists at the hospital and we always found the rooms were clean and well equipped, and the area was quiet. In addition, we always felt safe, and both the hospital and grocery stores are quite close. I had to stay at the Auberge a second time, at the last minute, because my husband contracted a serious infection and was airlifted back to the Glen for treatment, which lasted almost a month. When I checked in, the motel was almost full but fortunately, they were able to find me a room, which I kept for the entire time of my husband’s recovery. It was a very stressful time for me during both of my stays at the motel. However, everyone there was kind and caring, and I cannot thank the team enough for helping me endure such huge stresses. I will always cherish their many acts of kindness during an extremely rough time in my life. Everybody was thoughtful and caring. The team is absolutely fantastic! In particular, thank you to: Igor, Olesea, Ira, Irena, Nelly, Marina, Kate, Olga, Tetyana and Jacques… ; - ) Naturally, when my husband has other appointments in Montreal, or we simply go there for a holiday, we will stay at this motel. If you book more nights, the store won't refund you. I booked 11 nights and had 8 left to go. They won't refund a penny. The guests like to throw the dishes and pots in the sink after eating, so you can't cook. Be aware of this. Most of the people here are from Algeria and Nigeria. Many are Muslim. Many people openly ***. *****. But most of the older people are polite.

Stay away from This hotel!!! I booked this hotel because it was close to bio dome and the botanical garden near the Olympic stadium . This is not your average hotel and very sketchy People were smoking up at the entrance doors Checked into a smoke filled room Asked to be switched and offered a unsafe basement room With no windows and stretchy entrance leading to a unsecured door. What a fire hazard and cannot believe it’s legal for them to rent out. Refused to offer another safe and secure room. Refused to refund They provided a can to deordize the room I opened the window and it was not secured and handle was loose Turned in the air conditioner under a table Helped with the air quality a bit. The showe is an open shower in the middle of the room. Room was also dirty As we found a empty cup under the bed. Totally disgusting and worst hotel I have stayed at in montreal .

This hostel is one of the best I've ever stayed. Great location with metro /bus station nearby, modern bedrooms, very clean, 24h reception, free coffee/tea, huge and clean kitchen, plenty of common spaces, a terrace with 2 jacuzzis that stay opened until 22pm! The hostel also has an underground bar and proposes several activities on each day of the week, i.e. park walking, dancing night, beer pong tournament. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Beautiful hotel! I loved our room with casement windows that opened inward. Spacious, and well appointed. Desk, small table and chairs, fridge, robes and slippers. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows and big plush towels. The lobby smelled divine, and when I asked, was told it was the same scent as that of the toiletries in the room. This is the only hotel we have been to in the last 3 years that had full maid service every day, and we don’t stay at inexpensive hotels. Walk to the old port was right across the street. Valet parking is 38$c a day, but worth it to avoid the hassle. We had a riverfront view, and while it wasn’t perfect, one of the quays is a parking garage which spoiled the view a bit, it was still lovely, especially in the evening when you could look out at the La Grande Roue and watch it change color. This place was the best part of our Montreal stay.

A bijou in the heart of Old Quebec, with a 3 star restaurant on the ground floor, this establishment has all the hallmarks of a classic inn on animated pedestrian streets with plenty of shops and attractions virtually all around it, from the Chateau Frontenac to the Dufferin Terrace to the ramparts and citadel. Only problem: parking is a nightmare! Plan to drop your bags and then hunt for a place to put your car, and be prepared for a looooong hike back!

Exactly what you expect. Easy to check in. Can be challenging if you don’t speak French but staff do try. Ask for renovated room as these are comfortable. Beware All Quebec City changes random extra taxes which they don’t negotiate which isn’t fair.

Nous avons passés une très bon séjour. Nous sommes restés 4 nuits. Le motel est est très propre, les serviettes sont changés tous les jours. Il y’a une machine à café, un frigo et une table pour manger dans la chambre. Il y a la climatisation pour l’été. Très bonne localisation, proche de Québec (avec les transports en commun), proche des chutes et du parc Jacques Cartier. Vous avez des commerces à côté (supermarchés, Tim Horton, Mcdo). Parfait pour passer quelques jours ou juste une nuit.
