The room was small. Don’t expect a big room. The water heater was good I must say! Do not have to worry about worrying to bathe in cold water during winter. The sink layout was impossible to use without wetting the floor at all!! All in all a simple clean room with 24h check in and luggage storage. Location was a 5 mins walk to the Perth station! Very convenient! Nothing to complain about except the sink I must say 🌚 oh yes, pls bring hangers. There was rly no wardrobe to hang our clothes 🤣

The thought of staying in prison is usually nothing you would enjoy. Well, we did enjoy our stay at the YHA a lot. We slept in a cell and due to the fact it's a heritage building, they can't install ACs in there, so it was warm at night, with day temperatures of 45 degrees. The fan did not really cool the room down, yet it was fine. We knew what we booked and that it can be hot in February. There are plenty of bathrooms all over the hostel, so you always find a shower or a toilette. The kitchen is spacious and clean. Of course, there are dirty dishes, but let's be honest: most of the guests are adults and should be capable of cleaning their dishes and clean up their mess. It's not the job of the staff to do this. The YHA has a nice, big garden, a big community area (inside) and a community area outside. It was very quiet at night, perfect for anybody, who needs some sleep. The staff was always very friendly and helpful and made our stay even better. It's located right next to Fremantle Prison and less than a five minutes walk from Fremantle market.

In March 2012, I booked a single room for 3 nights through the ”Hotel World” website. I found this hotel without any effort, the check-in was super fast, the staff was very friendly (at least in March 2012). My room was large, with comfortable beds and windows facing the main street. Every time I go out and close the door, the door will make a sound with the ground. It feels very interesting and not annoying. Although the front desk can buy wireless network, I still use free wireless, which is provided by the Perth government. The bathroom is very clean. I liked the location of this hotel, close to many restaurants, there are bars nearby, places to skip disco. Because my return flight back to Singapore was very early, I had to use Perth Airport shuttle. Service was reliable and priced (convenient booking). I recommend Britannia and Perth Airport shuttle.

We stayed for a week as my son was visiting the University. My husband had stayed for six weeks when first arriving in WA, so had some insight. However, we ended up paying double what he did. The room was really tired, and had an adjoining door to our neighbours room (locked, but she was really sick and coughing the whole time we were there). As a result, it was really difficult to sleep, and the day before I left, I came down with the same symptoms she did. Not necessarily the hotels fault, but frustrating as I ended up sick for two weeks after leaving with the same symptoms as neighbour. Upside: close to the city (within walking distance), easy booking, easy check in. A lot of Uber Eats options available within close proximity. Also easy access to arterial route’s around the city. Downside: trip advisor pictures out of date (no pool), rooms are really tired, bathrooms even more so. Washing up has to be done in the bathroom. Rooms cleaned only once during eight day stays. Rooms adjoined to others have little to no privacy as you can hear literally everything. Parking can be challenging (we were there the weekend the Freo’s were at playing and were unable to park in the hotel car park at all). Had microwave but no cooker, so ended up buying ourselves a sandwich press for breakfast and lunches.

We stayed for two nights and would say the hotel was ok. The staff were lovely and helpful when we had to return as we had forgotten something, however the rooms are dated, but clean and the windows are very drafty. We opted for the continental breakfast which again was just ok. For a short stay it was absolutely fine, it’s in the beach front and right in the middle of Esperance so great accessibility for exploring, but nothing to rave about.

Yea it was ok, staff and management were gr8, the rooms are a bit out dated showers are small no satellite TV or anything restaurant was closed the night I went there close to KFC and an Asian restaurant overall ok, I would stay again if I had too.

We had a 2 night stay at this motel. Top class motel. We were given a large room which was very clean, had a comfy bed and a nice bathroom with lovely hot shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location as we were able to walk to shops and eateries. The motel is well placed if you want to go and visit the Pinnacles. Good value for money.

What a pleasant surprise this accommodation has been. Far surpassed our expectations. The family room has a QS and large single bed. Very comfortable, good bedding with pillow choices plus extra blankets if needed. Great bathroom with bath and shower with great hot water supply. Jug, toaster and microwave plus frig. Daily room service too - bonus! We went to Bandy Creek Harbour beach where there is great sand, shallow water for the little one to play, toilet and shower plus a fish processing shop where we bought great fish to take home. So many beaches and bays to visit and places to go, shop and eat plus lots of fishing gear shops. We also visited Stone Henge which was interesting and good value and has lots of info plus a shop.

Arrived at 2pm, told by owner he'd turned off water due to a leak & was trying to get plumber to come out to fix. We were allowed to check in to rooms 2 & 5. 1st impression was how outdated the room was, 2nd was how much the room smelt which had permiated the bath towels they'd left out to use. We left rooms to visit Lighthouse & on 5pm return was told by a plumber he'd replaced pipe but we could use taps till 7pm so repair would set. He filled our kettles for drinks. Although no milk provided with complimentary tea/coffee. Went for dinner & when we returned to room went straight to bed as very long day. Next morning, check out day, told by Mum that no hot water. Turns out the owner had used all the hot water when they had to wash the linens they couldn't the night before. 4 rooms being vacated that morning, why could they not have waited? No flannel, soap or shampoo which seeing as the towels stank so much was probably a blessing. No lock on inside of door apart from chain so I had to put chair under door & pull door mat up. Patio out back of our rooms was so overgrown it was too dark to sit out. Chairs outside rooms were filthy. Bed rock hard. Bucket under toilet cistern in room 5 to catch a leak. Wifi intermittent (password on sticker on TV) Have nothing good to say about this motel & hope people read reviews before booking so not disappointed like we were. Oh and the whole town closed at 8pm Sunday night, including petrol station so was a ghost town.

This hotel is a bit far from the center of Perth. If you are driving through Perth, it is still OK. Parking is convenient, clean and hygienic, the size is suitable, and the price-performance ratio is good.

Excellent location for travellers. Nice staff. Make sure you tell them if you plan to arrive after 6 pm. Large room with mini kitchen (microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, cutlery, dishes). Laundry on site. Nice bathroom with roomy shower. Lots of storage plus a safe. Clean modern decor. Close to airport (taxi about $40 but you could use public transport) and there is a bus to Perth city centre right outside (takes about 30 minutes). Lots of local shops and restaurants. If you’re travelling with a rented vehicle and you have been on the red dirt roads there is an expensive car wash next door and a cheaper one just up the road. We stayed here at the start and end of our Western Australia camping trip and it was perfect.

FLEE THIS PLACE !! This hotel is anything except a youth hostel. Boring as hell, no backpackers in it while on their website they say they are a hotel for backpackers, the wifi doesn't work, the pictures of are not at all like the reality; the sofas inside and outside are all torn and dirty, the sofas in the large common room downstairs act as a bed for most people. And the most scandalous thing is that the hotel is infested with BED BUGS !! First of all, when we arrived on November 16th, we learned that, unfortunately, due to the number of people in the hotel, we were obliged to change rooms during our stay. Unless I'm mistaken, this information is not written on your website at the time of booking, so the least you can do is to ask if this change is a problem for the client.... After talking to some people I learned that bed fleas are present in the hotel. I go directly to the reception to ask that they don't change my room but they guarantee me that the whole hotel has been ”professionally treated” and that I have nothing to worry about. So when I changed rooms, I didn't worry that there might be some in that room because of what I had been told. But to my surprise, one night when I went to bed, there was a bed bug walking around on the bed! The next morning, once the hotel staff knew about it, I had to change rooms again (former room infested with bed bugs that the two French brothers had been victims of) as soon as possible. Once back in my new room I lay down on the bed and against the wall I see again a bed bug! In the morning, all they could tell me was that I had to leave the room and the hotel the next day, because there was supposedly no more room ”available” even though I had booked for more than a week. So in less than 24 hours, I had to find a new hotel in emergency despite my work. This hotel lacks professionalism like I have never seen before. Finally, no one freaks out about bed fleas, the manager only changes people in their rooms which spreads the bed fleas throughout the hotel.

Location was great! Short 10min drive to frementle. Many supermarkets and eateries in the vicinity too. Room was no frills but sufficient for us, just that the freezer wasn't cold enough. We also appreciate the simple breakfast prepared by the staff. Had a great stay all in all :)

The hotel is close to the airport and has convenient transportation. The hotel room is large. Unfortunately, the toilet and bathroom are very small. In addition, the bed sheets and bath towels have one or two long hairs, which is not very hygienic.

I booked this hostel for 3 nights and I stayed for 3 months. It's definitely the THE BEST HOSTEL IN PERTH ! the staff is amazing, so nice, so caring, so friendly, and so helpful! Charlie, the owner, even helps travelers to find jobs and is always making arrangements to satisfy everyone. This place is like home. The bathrooms, Kitchen, and Common area are always clean! It's 100% what I expected to find in a hostel and the people I met there are now real friends. I miss this place already and I can't wait to come back after doing my 88 days. I would recommend it 10 000x if you want a real hostel life experience! thanks the shiralee team, you made y stay in Perth way better!

Alway treated like a valued customer, and everything is done to ensure a pleasant stay, I would and have recommended Sure Stay Hotel, Best Western the Clarence on Melville to colleagues and friends and had friends stay with you and enjoyed the experience.

This time I booked an 8-bed room for 5 days. The location is very close to the coach station. It is very suitable for people without a car. The room is not always full. The staff is very warm and friendly. Even if I booked a mixed room, I learned that I have room. A female companion will try to arrange an all-female dormitory for us! Moreover, the cheap price package also provides simple breakfast, which is a surprise! Although the hygienic environment may not be very good for picky people, this backpacker hostel is very pleasant. The toilets and bathrooms are very clean, and the common area is also regularly cleaned. It is much better than most affordable backpacker hostels!

Great big bed, comfortable room. Lots of room to move around. Loud noisy neighbours, did quieten down eventually. Parking at door. Pool looked very inviting, but we had no time for a dip. Price was just right for what we got. Would come back to stay.

My partner and I stayed here on a Coach Tour and we were both very happy with the food and accommodation. Admittedly our food may have been different to individuals staying here as both nights we had a varied buffet for dinner. Breakfast was also a buffet and all meals were tasty and hot. The staff were friendly and efficient and the rooms were spacious and the beds super comfortable. Laundry facilities were also very much appreciated. One of the outstanding features though were the native gardens. Absolutely beautiful. If only our garden at home could look like these ones. Highly recommend.

A quick one night stay and Le Grande proved perfect . Okay a bit dated decor wise, but clean, comfortable and spacious rooms could not be faulted really. The management are well organised and very pleasant, the dining at night excellent and the breakfast very very good. We would not hesitate to recommend

Really lovely motel, very clean and tidy, the beds were really comfortable, great shower. The restaurant was a stand out. The staff were super friendly and keen to help. There are shops and restaurants close by.

Other reviews made me feel doubtful about staying here, but it turned out that my stay was much better than I expected. The motel may be old and dated, BUT it's absolutely comfortable and clean. Great value for money, so glad to score the very last room and escaped the xmas heat from Perth. Loved the shower with plenty of hot water and strong pressure, I slept very well on the bed, staff were great, the location was great...albeit it's right by the side of busy albany hwy, but thankfully it's gone quiet by 10pm and you're usually out and about daytime. The pool seemed popular with families and it looked clean and well maintained. There's no kitchen, but the facilities provided were more than enough for heating up food (microwave, cutleries, dishwashing liquid and sponge and towels). They also provided room service if you wish to have it. What I didn't like?? - My room was upstairs LOL I didn't know of this. Good thing I didn't bring much stuff. So bear in mind of this when you make the booking - The whole place was generally quiet, but 2 mornings in a row, I heard this VERY LOUD bang...as if someone just slammed something shut angrily, more likely a door. 1st morning it happened twice, 2nd morning it happened once. Not sure if it's the cleaner or one of the neighbouring guests. Very annoying and inconsiderate! Good thing it didn't happen at night time. - The cleaner almost walked in on me while I was still dressing. She knocked and I answered, but she must have not heard me and just open the door...resulting me to shout 'NO NO WAIT!!!!' Phew that's close! I did try to look for the 'Do No Disturb' sign later to hang on the front door, but couldn't find it. Not saying this is ok, but given all the positives, they outweigh this last near-accident. So overall, I won't hesitate to stay here again.
