"It's a hostel with private room with shared bathroom. We can self check-in and they'll provide a fresh sheet and quilt. For a towel, we should ask first and they'll provide. The location is amazing and accessible with Transperth Buses. The hostel also has a massive shared kitchen with complete utensils. Will be back again."

"The hostel is super clean and modern, with a bar, billiards, PlayStation, pinball, and a cinema – basically everything you need to keep busy! The location is also perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the CBD. The rooms are comfortable. The only downside is the kitchen, which only has microwaves, an air fryer, kettles, and toasters."

"Hi , YHA Fremantle Prison, Wow! What an amazing experience and im so glad i stayed here, and thankyou so much for being so accommadting and understanding , and well for letting me book with late notice and guided me to after hours checkin, and well the guy who was working after hours on the 31st May Sunday night,...... 💯👌🙏❤️ so welcoming and was down to earth, and made me feel good about the whole.stay and just a very calming presence and over the phone also , very understanding and reassured me to not stress and be safe and to get here when i get here. He was thankful i got there at reasonable hour, cosidering it was after 9pm , was travelling from the city and through the storm so it was 10.30pm maybe a little after 10.45pm,...... and so he was very grateful but very good about me being a late check in , as i rang to make sure i was able to stay without a passport. I.was very happy to find that i could book without passport 🙏🥹💯❤️👌 I had the best night sleep, the best shower before bed, the facilities were amazing and the whole experience was beyond my expectations and exceeded all my thoughts of what was to be. I cant thank you guys enough! I will be back! Im staying longer next time so i can explore the Fremantle Prison as i have wanted to now for many.of years and the canal tour also ive wanted.to always do. The grounds, the care , the information on history , on every wall, evey building, everything was to standard and presentation that was 11/10 👌💯 brillant! I am and was well impressed! And cant wait to stay again and with a little more pre planning and booking earlier on and having a bit more a plan next trip. As my stay at YHA was very last minute , and because i missed my TransWA bus back to Kojonup.....😏 And well my decision to go up to Perth was very last minute and decision made only 2 days prior to going , and so as it was last minute decision and well i had an idea of a plan of where and who to see while up there, as being last minute things always dont go to plan and so when those moments happened i just rolled with the punches and went with the flow of things, and trusted my gut instinct and trusted my journey and the journey in life i am and well was on while in Perth and so all roads had led me to where i was meant to be , and well all fell into plaxe and worked out in the end and so im grateful beyond words! Truely and honestly 🥹🙏❤️💯😊 Thanks again , and wow amazing stay! And highly recommend! Thankyou so much for the feeling of saftey also being a single female traveller on her own. "The location is excellent! However, the cleanliness and soundproofing are so-so. I booked a couple's room with a private bathroom at the end of the corridor, which was quite quiet. The hot water was very hot, and the toilet flush was strong. It's best to bring your own toilet paper, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and hairdryer. They provide sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases upon check-in; you put them on yourself and remove them in the bin outside when you check out. It's also best to dispose of your own trash. The lock is basic, but it can't be opened from the outside, so it's quite secure. It's within walking distance of shopping, train stations, and mopeds. I slept very well at an IKEA. Good value for money."

"It's in the heart of the city, so it's very accessible. The bathroom is clean and overall it's quiet. The kitchen is in the basement, so you can't hear much noise. Sometimes you can only hear noise from the street at night. I recommend staying here for a trip, but it's a little expensive."

"The capsule-like structure, surrounded by wooden planks on the top and sides, felt much cozier and more stable than I expected. Above all, I loved that the bedding was incredibly clean and fragrant! Since it was a bunk bed, I was worried it might creak when climbing up or disturb others, but it was very sturdy and barely made any noise, so I was able to use it comfortably. The restrooms and shower facilities were also very clean and well-equipped. It was a bit disappointing that there was no shelf to place toiletries in the shower area. Personally, I was a little disappointed that the cereal provided in the morning had almost no sweetness. The lobby felt somewhat cluttered, and the furniture in the relaxation areas, such as the sofas, was old, making it a bit less comfortable to relax. However, the entrance to the accommodation featured a very large and sturdy iron door, which gave me peace of mind regarding security. Most importantly, I was satisfied with the most crucial aspects of a hostel, such as the sleeping area and the shower space. This is the place where I felt the most sense of stability among all the hostels I have stayed in so far. It may not be flashy, but I think it is a practical hostel that is faithful to what is necessary!"

"A nice hostel not too far from Perth city center. Good things I liked: - Comfortable mattress, with a small curtain for a little privacy - Staffs were nice and helpful - common areas, kitchen, and showers/toilets were cleaned daily - Plus point: Breakfast included (simple toasts with peanut butter/Jam/choc spread) - Free coffee and tea (not the best quality but ok) - near bus stop and grocery (Woolworths) Not so good things: - rooms are quite cramped - no signage outside, bit confusing & hard to find for first timers - Most of the furniture and kitchen facilities are quite old - front porch & yard seems messy & unaesthetic - Price-to-quality ratio: ok The free breakfast, nice & helpful staff, kitchen space and social areas make this hostel recommendable. However, needs for hostel signage & revamping of all spaces & furnitures would make it a highly recommended hostel."

"This place is great good value for money. But I would think twice before staying here on a Thursday or weekend if you need to sleep which I did. As it’s packed on the weekend and then when pub closed patrons came back to their room and kept partying. When I asked people to shut up I was told basically to “go away” what was most annoying was apparently one of the people making noise worked at the roey. So although I still take the place I just won’t stay on weekends. But overall still good value for money and great service and nice rooms."
