The George Inn

Really quirky pub with a warm welcome, good food and friendly locals . OK it's slightly shabby in places and could do with some TLC, but it's clean and great value for money. We had a lovely view of the Abbey. The bed was comfy and we had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked to order. The traditional and veggie breakfasts were great. Will stay again. Thanks to all the lovely staff for a fab Xmas break.

Low Budget Hotel, Very old and definitely should be renovated Unfortunately black fungus on a head kit, both kits (inside) very dirty and as they look have long had no cleaning, Hairs still in bed, had not smoked at cleaning, bed was freshly obtained Have the head kits defect and the lady what super nice and after I have shown the kits and brought down to the reception, the nice lady repacked me 2 head kits and 2 kits replacements given(the same was to bear and back up(there was no problem mainly clean head kits) restaurant the evening food was very good and has tasted well but the continental breakfast, low and far not what you expect from a restaurant, little choice, bread still in the bag, each intervenes and takes his bread from a plastic bag, soluble coffee into a cup, glasses foul (not correctly cleaned by washing machine (all glasses stump) as well as many of the cups.(We have drank each cup of juice from clean cups instead of drinking tea or coffee) We have selected the clean wardrobe(2 tables) and have eaten what we had eaten without danger(to our mind) but was not much. When paying, I commented on the problems and the woman wanted to repay our money but I rejected because we still had something eaten, We had another further journey before us and we missed the time somewhere else to breakfast, I think I had something to eat and I pay for it. However, the staff was very friendly and I'm sorry that the people have to work with such things, I am sure we're not the first to complain
