Robin 7 Lodge City Centre

Check in is a mild hassle. It's not the easiest to spot where it is (looks like a street house), and you need to pre book and be let in by a staff member, once you go through the usual pre-amble of checking in and being shown the room, I have 0 complaints. Room size was good, bed was excellent, and the bathroom was clean. Was quite happy with my stay, and can easily see myself staying there again next time. My stay was a 1 night thing, so I can't comment for holidays. But as a day trip, pretty much perfect for what I wanted.

This hotel is just a short walk away from the train station, which makes it pretty central regardless of where in Nottingham you need to go. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although I dislike the insistent emails on the lead in to my visit trying to get you to check in online. Good job I didn't, as I arrived early unexpectedly and was still able to get a room straightaway, whereas I would have had a couple of hours to wait if I'd done the online check in. This is a decent chain of hotels, I've had good experiences in the past and this visit was also fine. Only real complaint was the absence of biscuits with the tea and coffee set up in the room - surely a basic human right.

Found this hotel as a stopover from Devon to Northumberland. Welcoming reception and friendly staff in all areas. I had requested a certain area of hotel and request was granted! We had an upgraded (premium) room so can only speak on that! Pleasantly decorated with air con. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean. A safe in wardrobe and a small fridge with water, coke, crisps and chocolate complimentary to members! A coffee machine and instant coffee and tea. Very nice toiletries in bathroom with a good shower. The only negative is the bathroom is very small especially the toilet area! We had a voucher for a complimentary drink from the bar which we didn’t use but in the morning reception said we could get a takeaway which was such a lovely gesture. There was a good breakfast with pretty much everything on offer including a separate area for gluten free! A very big car park finished this delightful overnighter. We will defo return as do this journey a few times a year. Keep doing what you’re doing….. you’re doing it right! Thank you

receptionist Daniel(male) was horrible. He almost denied me entry as I did not have a passport.I showed him my work ID with photo for which refused.I had stayed here twice before and the stay was good and the staff(females )were very polite. However guy was arrogant and discriminative. He said he wont bothe if i don't rebook the hotel in future.I came to rest after ork and this guy pissed me off and could not sleep well due to this horrific experience from the receptionist.I was very upset because of this guy. When I told him that i stayed there before twice for which he started blaming his colleagues and said they did not do their job properly. This guy needs serious professional ethics training to behave well with customers . He was indifferent in his poor attitude and said he wont bother if I rebook or not!
The Jubilee Hotel

I am from South London and had some unfortunate news my daughter at Nottingham University was taken into hospital. I rushed up to Nottingham to be with her and booked to stay at Jubilee for the night. I had to extend my stay for a whole week as she not getting better. The hotel was fully booked and this really stressed me out even more as I had nowhere to stay. In steps Lassad the duty manager. What an amazing, genuine, caring and helpful gentleman. Without hesitation he secured me a room for the week and went out of his way to make my stay as pleasant as possible given the circumstances. He checked in on me every day and you could see his genuine concern for and my daughter. I cannot praise this hotel, the staff and the warm welcome you get in a beautiful setting. Do not hesitate to stay here you will truly feel welcome. Thanks again Lassad and team, you will definitely see me again soon.
