London Hostels

I stayed for 1 night recently at wombats on dock st. The hostel is perfectly located close to two underground stations and in central london. The hostel itself is very modern, clean and spacious. The manager zsuzska and staff at wombats are kind and friendly. The check in process was quick and the breakfast was a bargain at £4.90. The room itself was perfect and i slept very well in the comfy bed. I would highly recommend wombats to anyone travelling to london. Thank you zsuzska and wombats for a perfect stay. Dave

Absolutely cracking burgers, must try if visiting. Vegan options and a selection of poutine style loaded chips. Relaxed atmosphere lots of space to work whilst lunching too. Will definitely be returning soon, lovely staff make all the difference. Many thanks!

You get what you pay for - cheap and cheerful. I enquired before travelling about where I could keep my stuff in the dorm and was told that there were lockers. They didn't mention though that I should take my own padlock! The only person around to ask was a cleaner who didn't speak English so I had to run the risk and leave my stuff unprotected...

I was worried because it was a 28-person room, but it felt rather safe, the service was good, and I never had to wait for a shower! It's a bit far from the center of the city, but I think it's 10 minutes away by subway! The subway also comes every 1-2 minutes, so there was no inconvenience. The beds are soft and there are blackout curtains on each bed, so I slept soundly!

Needed a Bed after working In Very Wet n Windy Conditions at London Stadium. paid £11 so not expecting much . slept solid for 10 hours Nice soft pillows Very large rooms with high ceilings. The Pub below is very artistic still has a 19th Century feel all Staff Very Nice Damien behind Bar very passionate about his job also the Young Lady checked me in. Would recommend this as a basic stay in SW1 .

Although many people live together, I only shared the room with one or two people that day. There are many bathrooms and toilets, and breakfast is also available. I will come again if I have another chance!

The second time I checked in, I thought it was a four-person room, because the picture showed two beds. I found out that it was a six-person room when I checked in. There were five elder sisters living in the room. It was so lively at night, and one of them had a cold, and I had several fights People who sneeze and catch a cold during a special period scare me enough. I simply stayed for one night to make the transition and packed up and checked out early in the morning. There is a washbasin in the six-person room, and you can only brush your teeth and wash your face. There is a public toilet and toilet outside the door, which is still worse than the built-in toilet in the four-person room. If you don't like this, you can check it when you book and check in. I won't say much about other public ones, I have already given detailed introductions and comments before.

i have stayed at this hostel several times now for several reasons: it is close to Earls Court Station with easy access to Heathrow and Victoria The young staff are always pleasant and helpful and they always try to accommodate my requests I appreciate the excellent breakfast each morning and the ability to have a tea or coffee at any time during the day The simple evening meal included in the accommodation is much appreciated when prices are so high in London It is close to Sainsbury's / Co-Op and one has access to the kitchen during the day The courtyard is an asset. The only negatives are that many of the facilities are in need of an upgrade and the showers are very cramped. The communal living room is dominated by the large screen TV and it is difficult to find a quiet spot to work on a computer.

Absolutely great value for money. Had a great stay here. The hostel is clean and very central. Literally 5 steps away from the tube station that gives access to the main London attractions in less than 10min. The check in is at the Pub downstairs, which is also the entrance to the hostel. Staff is great and always willing to help. Toilets were clean and never had a problem there (bring your own towel or pay 5£ for one, and you can keep it after). Food at the pub is good and the breakfast is simple but effective. Booking directly has big advantages (I booked 2 nights through booking and another directly with them - it’s cheaper, includes late checkout, pub discounts and 20% off in the next visit). The pub is open 24/7 for guests only, and there is no loud music or people screaming in late hours - so you don’t get bothered at all if sleeping at the hostel, and you can always go down for a beer if you feel thirsty. Free luggage room to leave your bags before/after checking in/out. Will definitely go back here when visiting London again. Thanks guys !

Although there is no separate bathroom, almost every room can correspond to a bathroom, so it is very clean and convenient. The room and bathroom ratio is almost one to one.
