Harbin Hostels

I didn't know about the Northern Youth Hostel at first, because my friends went there and knew that the second season of ”Happy Restart” Harbin was recorded here. You need to bring your own. The room only has a rack, a hot water bottle and a few clothes hangers. There is a laundry room and clothesline on the first floor to facilitate regular residents to do laundry and cooking. There are usually band performances on the first floor, so enjoy it

The three times I visited Harbin, I always stayed at the youth hostel in the morning. Because when I went to Mohe, I kept my luggage at the youth hostel for two days. It was really good. You can also play table tennis there. The main reason is that the location is really good, just 50 meters away from the Central Street subway entrance. I will stay here again when I go to Harbin in winter.

When booking accommodation in Harbin, I looked at hotels and B&Bs, and came across the recommended Daoxiang International Youth Hostel. The prices are quite good and everything is clean and hygienic. And the atmosphere is good. My friend has never stayed in a youth hostel and wanted to experience it. The most important thing is that there are standard twin rooms and double rooms, which are very suitable for us who want to have independent space. The bed is not big, but it is enough to sleep in and very comfortable. We only booked it for one night at the beginning and we wanted to see how it went. Because I was really satisfied, I renewed my reservation in Mohe on the afternoon of the first day I arrived and will stay here when I come back. Very close to Central Street and very convenient around. It's in a residential building, but it's easy to find. Attracted by the snowman in the yard. Southerners really fall in love with snow when they see it. The hostel is very cozy, the staff are very nice and enthusiastic, and the recommended barbecue restaurants are all delicious. You can spend an afternoon in the lobby. Really relaxing and comfortable. You can also meet friends from all over the world. There is Werewolf and the like in the evening, and we play games and chat together. There is also a store pet—a little cat named Doudou who knows how to high-five and shake hands. Daoxiang is my favorite atmosphere. One youth hostel in one city, Harbin Daoxiang, is great.

I never write reviews but i need to tell all trip.com users and potential Harbin travelers that I had a legitimately life-changing experience staying at Xingsu Youth Hostel. The hostel feels like a home - you walk in, and the first floor is a living room/kitchen with a big table and couches and a front desk, the second floor is rooms, and the third floor is the all-female floor with 16 beds, where I stayed. First of all, I was slightly nervous about being in a room with 16 people, but it was so spacious and comfortable and everyone was really respectful, I had 0 issues with noise or anything. There's a nightstand and lamp next to each bed so you can stay up or get up early without bothering anyone. Everything's very clean and warm and comfortable. Great hostel. OK on to the life-changing part. I've stayed at hostels before and met cool people, but at Xingsu I made FRIENDS. When I walked through the door on my second night there, a bunch of people were sitting around the table, the owner of the hostel was making 烧烤 (Chinese BBQ) for everyone, and I was welcomed into the meal/demanded to have a drink with everyone!! We all hung out for many hours that night, and more the next day. Throughout my stay at Xingsu, hanging out with these people and chatting with the owner, it became very clear that the owner is someone who loves meeting new people and building community and facilitates these kinds of encounters. (And not at all in an obnoxious space-taking-up way, but in a genuine way full of attention and generosity.) I learned a lot about being a good human by staying here!!! Even if you're not looking to make new friends and just need a place to stay, you should stay at Xingsu because it's an extremely affordable and comfortable stay in an amazing location (like an 8 min walk from Zhongyang Da Jie, the main pedestrian street)!! In any case you will absorb generous and warm vibes here and will not regret it. ＜3
