Second time staying here. The room is spacious, the water is hot, and the air conditioning works. The most important thing is that the breakfast is delicious. Full marks. The only drawback is how long the pilot requires check-out - shouldn't it be 12 o'clock normally?

This bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down. We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used. On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place. The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time) There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away. Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe. Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have. 3/10 would probably not go there again.

Hotel services and facilities are OK.

This stay was absolutely breathtaking. The views are amazing, so is the service and amenities. Would definitely suggest more than an overnight stay, there’s so much to do on the property itself.

Very good, the room is clean and tidy, and the food provided by the landlord is delicious.

Good facilities overall, the included dinner is also good. It is a bit on the expensive side, considering it's effectively ~ZAR 9000 per night for the deluxe tent. 

It was inconvenient that there were no trash cans. I wish there were trash cans in the kitchen and by the pool. There was a supermarket nearby, which was convenient.

We love it! We will definitely come back again and recommend it to our friends. Good food, clean room, a good place to relax, and get back to nature and animals.

Very friendly and welcoming. Assisted us with late check in. Rooms were cleaned daily. Full house breakfast plate made fresh daily, with many other options for breakfast. We had a fantastic stay.

Beautiful old hotel with wood finishes. You get a lot for the price. Maybe just have a torch available in the rooms. It was exceptionally dark when the lights went off.

Breathtaking views from the top of the mountain onto the beautiful Knysna lagoon. Francios was extremely kind and friendly as well as the breakfast staff! Thank you for making our honeymoon stay one to remember, 10/10 recommend to newlyweds, families and singles. We would definitely be back in the near future. Thank you!!

This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in!!! The staff and cottages were amazing!!! Let's start with the (only small) negatives... the cottages are a little remote from Knysna centre so you are reliant on using Uber. There is a wonderful on-site pub, but it stops serving food quite early. Plus it is hard to get cars back after 10pm at night. Therefore, some people may be better off staying more centrally. HOWEVER, nowhere else will match the beauty and tranquility of these cottages! The perfect place to relax! Stock up from a supermarket and build a new home!

If you want to live in a special hotel in South Africa by car, you can choose it by looking at the picture evaluation. First of all, the location of the hotel is very partial. I walked 30km mountain road from George, and then walked a dirt road to get there. I was scared for fear of breaking the low chassis of the borrowed Polo. When I arrived, there was really a giraffe in the lobby of the hotel, one, only one, which was better than the photos taken in other hotels in Africa, but it was not very good. The villa we stayed in had two rooms with 5 beds, and the two of us felt very big. The second is experience, and other experience accommodations in South Africa, this is really a farmhouse, 1,300 yuan per night, breakfast is very simple buffet, the rest of the meals are not included. Compared with the Pilinsburg Shepherd, others 3000➕, three meals included, two hunts, 3 hours. The three meals are exquisite, and the rooms are good. This one is really not good. Maybe I don’t know how he can pay for it.

The hotel has a beautiful large park with many flowers. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very large and beautifully furnished. The breakfast is just good, unfortunately for Cappuccino and Cafe Latte you have to pay 20 zares extra.

This is one of the most scenic spots in Oudtshoorn! We loved the pool for a quick dip after excursions! The hospitality is out of this world! From breakfast baskets delivered to the room, to enjoying amazing dinner braai packs with side dishes, and having wildlife come right up to the tent to graze is just some of the perks of staying here! HIGHLY recommended! They offer game drives, stargazing, and many other amazing excursions on the property. Wonderful setting!

My third stay at the Tulbagh Mountain Manor, not my last. The view is spectatcular, the acomadation grand and the welcome real. Highly recommended. James
