Top rated hotels in Vermont

Old Stagecoach Inn
4.6/5101 Reviews
Originally built in 1826 as a stagecoach stop and tavern, the inn alternated between hotel, private residence, and boarding house until 1993, when it reopened as a classic Vermont bed and breakfast and has been serving as such ever since. The Inn has retained the ambience of the original inn. There is a cozy parlor on the first floor. Drinks and breakfast are also on the first floor. We stayed on the second floor. A steep flight of stairs. We do not do stairs very well. The staff was so accommodating. They carried our bags up and down for us. The beds were very comfortable. Our room did not have a TV, not an issue, just a surprise. A full sit-down breakfast is included in the room rate. I had the granola parfait. My brother had bacon, eggs, hash browns. Both were very good. They have on-site parking. There are 2 things I would like to see: 1. a phone in the room so that you can reach the front desk without going down the stairs; 2. more surfaces on which to put your luggage. Good experience.
Lareau Farm Inn

My daughter and son-in- law were recently married at Lareau Farm. I cannot say enough about how wonderful everything was. My daughter who grew up in Vermont wanted to show off the best of Vermont at her wedding and Lareau Farm did not disappoint. The property is so beautiful from the quaint inn, to all the beautiful flowers throughout, the ceremony site, the Mad River that runs through the property all provided for an amazing backdrop for an amazing day. Helen, the wedding coordinator helped make my daughter's dream wedding come to fruition. She and her staff worked tirelessly to make everything happen without a hitch. She worked with all the vendors to help everything run so smoothly that all we had to do was enjoy the Wedding which we certainly did!!!!The staff in the Inn were wonderful and took care of everyone all weekend with wonderful breakfasts to getting what ever we needed such as safety pins to put everyone at ease. The Wedding night food was fantastic and folks have been raving about the pizza and Vermont Paella ever since. The lawn games and firepit were a huge hit especially at night when first time guests to Vermont could not believe the stars. We booked Lareau Farm over a year and half ago and it was wonderful to see the constant improvements to the venue; it just keeps getting better and better. In my mind Lareau Farm may be just the perfect place in the Mad River Valley to get married. Thank-you, thank-you Lareau Farm for all that you do.
Sinclair Inn Bed & Breakfast
4.8/556 Reviews
Friendly and helpful service, comfortable, clean room and great breakfasts made our stay among the best ever. We like B & Bs especially in older houses & this was a nice Queen Anne Victorian. Our room had a queen bed and a comfy chair among the furnishings. The bathroom made use of the small space efficiently. The shower was small & the only thing the owners might want to consider is adding a hand held shower instead of the fixed shower head which would be a blessing for short people. Kuereg coffee machine available anytime, convenient for second floor guests, water and canned sodas too. The freshly baked bars & cookies were available in the afternoon & evening. For breakfast there were ample selections, 2 types of quiches, vegetarian or ham & cheese. They were delicious as were the pancakes, breads and granola. Eggs, cheese, meats, flour and fruits were local. Strawberries, blueberries, whole fruits and juice also came with the breakfast, coffee and an assortment of teas. The Victorian house is well maintained, the dining room had a large table and several small tables for 2 so you could choose your preferred seating. The tables were set with china and glassware etc. nothing disposable. Your view might include the mountains in the distance and or a garden in full bloom. It took about 20 minutes to get into Burlington but it’s a pleasant drive. Went to Stowe which was about 25 minutes away. We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed longer! The family running the Sinclair Inn are young, hardworking and providing a really pleasant experience.
Eddington House Inn

This B&B was charming. The host greeted us with warm hospitality when we arrived and showed us around the rooms and the house. We had all the amenities one would expect to find in a large hotel and we enjoyed breakfast each morning cooked by our host. We will definitely stay here again when we are next in Bennington.
Butler House

Stayed in Sarah's suite with my husband and 6 month old. It was perfect, exactly what we were looking for. Fireplace really works and gets warm which was nice and cozy during the rainy evening. Right on main street which is great for easy walking to shops and restaurants but was a little noisy at night. Hardwood floors, super comfy bed, nice hot shower and shower and water pressure, beautiful decorated, kitchen to cook in, coffee and half n half, Netflix and Amazon prime. Loved that check in was super easy and butlers pantry for breakfast was fantastic. I hope to stay here again in the future... easily one of the top 3 best hotels I've ever stayed at.
