Yalakhom is situated at a remote yet accessible village in Himachal Pradesh called - Kalgha. Kalgha comes in the way to Kheerganga Trek, so those who are planning to go for the trek may consider staying at Yalakhom, as it is a great place to rewind and relax. I stayed at Yalakhom in the first week of June, the weather was pleasant and the rains made my stay even more pleasurable. When you will be at Yalakhom there won’t be any view you could take your eyes off. The people managing the homestay are also great. They take their time in cooking food, but they will serve you the freshest food possible with wide variety to choose from, that too at such a remote place. The wonderful folks at Yalakhom also offer accompanied guidance for treks, however I wasn’t aware of this until my final day at Yalakhom, so I couldn’t make use of the same. Pemba bhai, Agrimji, Resham bhai and Yangzee didi must be specifically mentioned. They will accomodate you as you are their friend, while respecting your privacy at the same time. I highly recommend Yalakhom notwithstanding your purpose of vacation, be it trekking or taking a peaceful break at the Himalayas.

The place is located right next to norbulingka institute and definitely worth a visit for a meal even if not staying overnight. The hotel and rooms are neat and clean with the owner's touch visible through some bedsheets need to be replaced as they have started pilling making it rough to sleep on.

I definitely had a terrific experience at hotel crest inn. It was a 11/10 experience and If/when I come back to Shimla, I know in which place I will reside. Their are these cozy windows where you can enjoy the view and read or sip coffee/tea. (and the views are awesome). Speaking of tea, their tea and coffees are NEXT LEVEL. The staff are super friendly and the owner is a very charismatic, polite person. This hotel won't be a place where you come to rest after a long day of travelling, instead it will be a great part of it.

Quite an extraordinary experience we had at hotel mountain vista. 1- amazing view of top of the mountains 2- very supporting staff 3- good food quality, when u compare to any restaurants where you more n more spices, but at the hotel kitchen the balanced diet you can get. 4- last & the most amazing one, we had a cotraveller from russia, & she was an influencer of yoga, she organized a breathing therapy session on sun-day evening. An inhaling experience everyone seeks to have in their life.
