Very conveniently positioned, a short walk away from the beach and the esplanade, but better value than the hotels on the seafront. Checking in was a quick and simple process, and the room was pleasant and clean, however, the decoration does require some TLC, including a paper sign that was torn and half off the wall where it was originally attached. A minor issue, but replacing it would take minutes, and it would immediately give a better first impression. The sink was in the room (not in the bathroom) but it was making the best use of the space available, Breakfast was fresh and served quickly, with unlimited self-service cereal, juice, and tea/coffee available. I would not hesitate in staying here again.

The breakfast was really good, our room whilst small was comfortable enough and most importantly clean. I was pleased that the shower had decent power and warm water. The room was quiet, although on a Saturday night you have to accept that a pub with entertainment is going to have some noise and the drag queen was very good and finished at a reasonable time). Location is great, we got the No.5 bus from Newport (15mins and literally stops at the pub door!) and literally cross the road to Osborne House. Evening food is not available but they recommended the Victoria Tavern which did tasty food with friendly service about 15mins walk away. A few things we would suggest for improving is teaspoons in the room and it to be clear that the pub is actually closed until 3pm in the week, rather than just this being the check in time. This is totally on us for not getting in touch, but we did try to leave our bags around 1130 before going to Carisbrooke Castle (understanding we wouldnt get to go to our room) but it was locked up. Not their fault, but something to be aware of if you want to do the same.

We had lunch with our children aged 6 and 9. I was aware of this place before visiting the Isle of wight and was one of my places I wanted to visit purely for the potential seafood options available. The menu was varied with plenty of seafood options to which we opted for the seafood platter to share. This was pricey but expected as they usually are. The kids options were good with both going for a burger. The outside seating area has stunning views of the sea and we were blessed with very hot weather. The platter looked great however I did feel a bit disappointed in that if it weren't for the chips, salad and mussels I would have still been hungry as the rest of the platter only consisted of a whole seabass, a few prepared prawns and then a few whole prawns and langostines. I guess there is a reason to return to try something else from the menu. Both kids were satisfied so overall it was a good meal.

We stayed for one night in a very well appointed room; very clean, everything working and Yorkshire tea with enough milk sachets(!), not always a given in more expensive hotels. We ate downstairs, a lovely meal served by Grace ,whose attention was actually perfect, appearing at the right time with lovely food and a great smile. Her colleagues were also excellent during the evening. The food really was very well prepared and presented....we were most impressed with our stay. Thank you!

Absolutely first class service from start to finish! Justine and Jon are amazing hosts who helped us with the whole booking process including ferries and the fact that two of our nights were on a “Buyagift” voucher but we wanted to add two nights. They sorted everything for us. Our room was spotlessly clean. The bedding is of a good quality standard, all toiletries were provided in our en-suite with an electric shower which had good pressure and easy to control water temperature. our tea tray - which was replenished daily - offered bottled water as well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The addition of two individual packs of local biscuits were very welcome after a busy day enjoying the Isle of Wight’s attractions. The flatscreen TV was an added bonus. There was plenty of choice for breakfast including Justines full English which set us up for the day. We really couldn’t fault anything at all and have no hesitation in recommending Inglewood. Justine and Jon really are brilliant hosts. Thank you for a great stay.
