Our experience at Centersuite Santander was a pleasure from start to finish. We do not speak Spanish (we are trying to learn), and Yolanda who checked us in speaks no English. Using Google Translate, Yolanda gave us a very comprehensive guide to the hotel and the features in our room. We stayed in the Reina Victoria, one of only five rooms in the hotel. The hotel is on the first floor of a building in the main street through the town, and the Victoria room is at the back of the building. Despite the location, the room was very quiet. The bed (two twins pushed together) was very comfortable and the room was well equipped with a safe, fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. The widescreen tv comes equipped with Netflix included. The bathroom is spacious with a rainfall shower in a large wet room section of the room. The only negative is the toiletries. One dispenser that serves as soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. It feels like glue on your hair. Bring your own hair products. The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the bus station, and has lots of bars and restaurants nearby. There are also several mini-markets and lots of cafes. We would definitely stay here again. Checkout is a respectable 12pm. I don’t think you could leave your bags here until your flight (not an issue with our 2pm flight), as the desk is unmanned through most of the day and it’s not possible to enter the building without a key, however there are lots of lockers at the bus station.

We stayed at this warm and quaint posada for one night during our Camino del Norte hike on June 2, 2020. The host was attentive, very accommodating and was incredibly generous with his time in helping us navigate the Spanish dinner menu. The location was perfect however keep in mind there isn't a supermarket or bar close by so ensure you bring whatever food or drinks you might need if not arriving by car. Fortunately we had some snacks with us and enjoyed a picnic on the grounds of the property. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Lugar estupendo para pasar unos días y conocer la zona, habitaciónes amplias, camas grandes y cómodas, buen desayuno, amabilidad por parte del personal, tiene aparcamientos justo en la puerta (y un gatito 😸) 100% recomendable
