The host can speak english and very polite and offer tours at reasonable price (cheaper than trip.com or viator). If l booked li jiang river cruise including transportation to the pier for 300 yuan. The hotel also close to guilin railway, therefore easy to take transportation (bus 22 to guilin west). Walkable distance to four lakes, elephant hill. The room was very comfortable. Highly recommended

We had two rooms for two nights. We were in rooms just behind the tea room. The rooms were large and very nice inside. Rooms had a mini fridge, hairdryer, lovely robes and a kettle. Although you are on top of the pedestrian area we were not disturbed at all by the outside street noise. We enjoyed looking out the window and seeing the walking street views. Floors 2-3 are full of restaurants to explore, highly recommend the Korean bbq on floor 2. The hotel rooms are a bit dark because of the hotels aesthetic, it didn’t trouble us too much but might be a problem for those with sight impairments. Also both rooms have steps up into the bathroom so not completely accessible. The bathrooms do only have a curtain to separate from the room and the shower and toilets are completely glass which doesn’t frost. Be aware of this if travelling as friends/acquaintances. The room was also noisy in the morning from other guests in the tea room but not enough to negatively impact our time. Overall I would absolutely recommend this hotel if travelling to Guilin. It allows you to be very close to the tourist area and within walking distance of the pagodas and elephant rock. The staff were also very helpful and accommodating.

Really cute and nice hotel! You get a free coffee voucher for their cafe next door and the outdoor area is nice to grab a coffee and look at the river. The coffee prices are good. The rooms looks like the pictures. Groceries and restaurants in all price ranges are close to the hotel and the food is great. Tell them to point out the famous beef noodle place 5 minutes away it is the best! For breakfast or lunch 😊

The washroom is spacious , clean and with hot water shower. The room is cozy. The staff are nice but not overly helpful, I asked about the bus station and he answered then went to go help someone else which lead me to going to the incorrect station. My stay included breakfast and I was not given information until the morning when I asked about it and was finally given a meal ticket, same story for the second morning. They have a board with activities and prices but I cannot read Chinese but looks helpful. Perfect location. Lots of places to eat and shopping within a few minutes walk.

WOW !! We were absolutely blown away by this amazing Hotel. We couldn't believe that everything looks just as good in real life as you see in the photos. We booked the room which we believe looks the best and has the best view (located on the top floor) and were so happy we chose it. Staying here was such an amazing and unique experience that we can't wait to stay here again for our next trip to China. Here are the highlights of our time here: 1) As mentioned before, our suite has 100% the best views of any Hotel in Yangshuo. It really does have a 270 Degree view and you can also see the sky thanks to partial glass roof. 2) The whole area is very peaceful and quiet, perfect for a getaway from the busy life in the city 3) The Hotel's staff are very friendly and helpful, ready to assist you with any request at any hour. One of the best customer service experiences we ever had! 4) The entire building and our room was very well maintained and clean 5) There is also a lovely swimming pool which we did not have the chance to use but it looks very nice 6) The location is simply perfect for what we wanted. And considering how cheap the taxis are (less than 10 Yuan to get to the city centre) it's well worth staying here. You can also walk for about 20 minutes to get in the city. 7) Although it is not technically a full service hotel, we really appreciated all the services provided, especially the daily housekeeping when they replaced our towels, etc 8) The video projector is a nice touch, and so is the HUGE bathtub which can probably fit 4 adults 9) As Westerners we also really appreciated the electronic / japanese-style toilet with automated flushing and all the functions 10) The air conditioner is surprisingly powerful and can easily keep up with very hot weather even if you open all the curtains Things worth noting: 1) The mattress was a bit firm for us and the pillows a bit too thin for our liking 2) The projector is set up for Chinese users and, unless you cast from your phone or mirror the screen, you won't have much luck 3) The bathtub would have been even better if it were jetted (like a jacuzzi), but this is not really an issue Overall this is certainly one of the best hotels you can choose in Yangshuo and we can 100% recommend staying here.

(I went down to check because some hotels in China economize by turning AC off during the night, but it was clear that all power was out for the entire neighborhood at least.) He then kindly handled over a portable power bank for my phone when I mentioned it was running low. Back in bed in the dark I then got an unexpected text that my flight from Guilin to Shanghai the next night had been canceled. Wondering why, the front desk staff told me that heavy storms were expected. This would mean that all other flights would be cancelled too, and anyone like me who had to be elsewhere would be scrambling for any remaining seats the following day. At this point I was worried, as I had an international flight to catch. Remembering the train station not far outside Yangshuo, I asked about train options, and that was when a young woman who works at the hotel named Xiao Yang 小楊 came to my rescue. She pulled out her cell phone, checked the train schedules for me, gave me a couple options, recognized that only a handful of tickets remained on a high-speed rail train leaving from Guilin around midday and arriving in Shanghai before my canceled flight would have arrived. She used our passport info to book me two tickets on the train (fronting what must have been her monthly salary to do so, no questions asked, for which I immediately reimbursed her--download and validate Alipay before arriving in China folks, it's an essential tool). Took a car to the Guilin north rail station the next morning, made some fast friends in the waiting hall, and was then on the way to Shanghai before the storms hit. 小楊's willingness to drop everything and care about the travel woes of a random guest like me allowed me to totally avoid the nightmare of rebooking flights and hotels amid a scrum of other travelers to make it to Shanghai in time. Power came back on at 2am, I returned the power bank in the morning, and Xiao Yang was nowhere to be found. So thank you Xiao Yang, and thank you to the Riverview Hotel for employing people who care about their guests.

We have a great stay. The hotel was set up to provide the best experience for a family who wants to enjoy the beautiful Yangshuo area. On the first floor, you have a gorgeous lobby and a play area for the children. To accommodate the wondering minds of the kids, the hotel provided multiple acres of lawn for the kids to run around and enjoy. Then there are the bunnies. They are cute and their enclosure is cleaned daily. The room we had had a ball pit and an indoor tent for my girls to play in and they put them into good use for sure. On the fourth floor is the laundry. You will only see washers but they have the hanging type driers to dry your clothes in addition to normal hangers. The top floor features a small restaurant with a spectacular view of the Yulong River and Karst features behind it. The food is good and easily tastier than most of the street side restaurants out there and features dishes common and famous to the area, we had the beer fish and the stir fried mushrooms. It was savory and priced well below what they charge on West Street. On our third day, we went out and rented electric scooters around the river and for 35km we went around the hills and through villages. The hotel staff, 小张&小麦, welcomed us with warm smiles and drove us to west street for some dinner and shopping. What an awesome trip, this hotel was an highlight!

Yangshuo is a place that lives in a painting. The B&B I chose this time refreshed my impression of B&Bs. The environment is beautiful, clean and the service is warm. The girl at the front desk is very considerate and reminds me to add more clothes when going out early and late. The B&B has small electric donkeys for rent, which is very convenient for traveling. The decoration and design of the B&B are also great. You can take pictures at will. You must go up to the Sky Eye on the eighth floor to check in🌔

The hotel is located in a villa area. It is very quiet at night, which is especially suitable for me who has trouble sleeping. It is not far from the attractions and it is very convenient to take a taxi. The room is decorated in a very stylish way and cleaned very well. There are two types of breakfast: set meal and buffet. If there are few people staying, set meal is provided, and if there are many people, buffet is provided. The hotel also built a very good cafe in the mountains, which is a good place to relax. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved this hotel. The view was beautiful from our room and the location was perfect. Right next to the reed flute caves and delicious Guilin rice noodles 5 minutes away. I was able to take a bamboo raft ride on the lake outside the hotel and the staff were just perfect. Melody’s English was great she was super helpful, all the staff were very helpful. I loved my stay here and they helped us carry all our heavy luggage down into the taxi as well. 10/10 just great. Oh!!! And do not forget to take out the bicycles for a ride!! The hotel lent them to us for free. There is a bicycle trail super close to the hotel that leads all around the town and it was by far my favourite experience in Guilin. The scenery was just amazing.

Good location of 100m from Bus Terminal, right at main Entrance of Old Ancient Town, in area of streets of restaurants, cafe, eateries, mini markets etc. Hostel is of good vibe for travellers with sofa area, BBQ pit, dining tables etc. Hostel unit is of good wifi signal, hot water shower, AC room unit, access card for female dorm, shampoo, clean sheets, water dispenser and hairdryer. Host is responsive to text messages, safe choice for Solo female backpacker. Highly recommend!

We slept one night during our stay in Xingping. The location is perfect, just next to the main street, 1 min walk to the ferry which takes you to the other side where you'll find buggies that take you to the top of the Xianggongshan mountain and 15 min walk to the bamboo rafts where the true landscape of the 20 CNY bill lies. The hotel workers don't speak English but do all the efforts to help you out by using the translator. The boss/manager however, speaks perfectly English. If you have WeChat you'll be added to a chat where you can talk to her and ask anything you want. She will also help you with any ticket booking that you need. In a matter of minutes they organized tickets for both the bamboo raft (which in Yangshuo was almost impossible to get if you didn't queue up at 6 am...) and helicopter (highly recommended!). So we were truly impressed by how they helped us out, since we had the idea of what to do but clearly needed this efficiency and local contacts to do it smoothly. The room was very spacious and all amenities needed (they didn't have an iron in the room but it took 2 minutes for them to bring it to our room when we asked :) ). We had a great view on the 4th floor (also very recommendable as the street is very close and the high floor might add some extra privacy. The rooms clearly state the floor when you book them, so take the advantage!). There is some room for improvement in the lobby but we passed on our feedback and they seemed very eager to improve, so we truly believe it can only get better. We weren't told the breakfast options nor saw any facilities to serve it but as an exception we bought some stuff at the mini market right next to the hotel entrance which was very convenient. The check-out was relatively flexible and we were given an extra hour which was a blessing for us after a sweaty hike on the Xianggongshan mountain. All in all we were very happy with our stay!

I usually do not write reviews but this experience has exceeded my expectations in every way that I want to share my experience. The hotel is very conveniently located close to all the main attractions - very easy to get around, no problem. Because we came during the off season, the owner of the hotel offered to drive us to a nearby market to buy some kumquats (famous in Yangshuo and delicious) and watch a beautiful section of the Yulong river that not many tourists know about. They also helped us buy tickets to watch a show at Romance Park and to Ruyi peak. This hotel was newly opened this summer so needless to say, everything is very clean and well organized. It’s a tech smart hotel meaning the amenities are very advanced. The toilet and the shower can be a bit confusing when you first use them (there are so mnay buttons!) but it’s very easy once you figure them out. We also saw a corner in the lobby for the little kids to play, which can be a good addition to young families. There are great outside sitting areas as well (including the rooftop), which would be wonderful for barbeques and activities during summer and bike rentals if you’re interested. Breakfast is simple, delicious, and fulfilling. It’s more of the Chinese style spread, and you even get to try out the famous Guilin mifen (noodles). I looked at so many hotels and read so many reviews because I wanted to make sure my parents had a comfortable, enjoyable stay (first time visiting China). I’m so glad I chose this one in the end. Every positive review that people said about this hotel is true. It’s a family run hotel, and everyone working there is so welcoming and nice. I would definitely come back when I visit Yangshuo again. My parents were so happy and satisfied with their stay. I would give them more stars and smiley faces if I could! Highly, highly recommended!!!

Outstanding, even though we were given room at level two as the hotel is fully booked due to many room requests for extended stay in this property (民宿). The room’s view is spectacular, we would just sit by the window and admire the view at all time. There were two time of power outages during the day time of our stay (due to local authorities upgrading work) but it don’t affect us much, as we were out for sightseeing during the day time. The staff are extremely friendly, and we in particular appreciate the service of xiao Yu (小余）, he is very patient in explaining to us how to use the electronic appliance in the room and answer to all our questions with a lovely smile. If we have more time, we would extend our stay too. If 5 is full mark, we would rate 6!

I've had an excellent experience staying at this place. It is a homestay in every sense of the word, as you are host of Yu Chon Wan and his family. The place, all made of wood, is authentic and conveniently located in the middle of the hill, with beautiful views. I suggest, if you have the opportunity, to eat there, definitely a strong point. The food is freshly made as you can see them cooking in the kitchen at dinner time. Like in other places in China, agree beforehand the amount of spicyness and salt, if that is a concern. They have a menu and they will tell you what is available and what is not, which to me is a plus, meaning that the ingredients are locally sourced, fresh and seasonal. The bathroom required some adaptation, as it was tiny and not made with Western standards in mind, yet I found mine clean, like the rest of the room.

Advice to foreign travellers: contact the hotel if you’re ever lost! They are more than happy to help. We didnt learn that until we realized we were on the wrong bus and took a longer route which made our travel to Longji a bit more stressful than needed. Once arrived, the rooms are very clean, the view is beautiful and locals are very nice. Just remember to not be shy! The food served at the restaurant was delicious and the area was nicely located. The view was so good we didn’t feel like we needed to leave the area at all during our stay. 10/10 would recommend to a friend or return! Thanks again

This family run hotel is the best! The room had a small patio, and nice views. Very easy to go hiking from this location. The food is amazing. We ate even meal here, and it was without a doubt the best food we had on our entire vacation. The owners are super friendly and helpful.

After looking at B&Bs for a long time, I finally chose Qingshan No. 1 because it was halfway up the terraced fields, and I didn’t want to live at the top of the mountain overlooking the terraced fields. Living halfway up the mountain, you can see the magnificent terraced fields as soon as you step out of the balcony. The scenery is very good~ We went by chartered car, which could drive as close as possible to the B&B, so we got off the bus and walked to the B&B very quickly. Looking at the scenery in front of me, it’s great~ I made the right choice. It was already around 2 pm when we arrived at the B&B, so it was very convenient to eat directly at the B&B. There is a restaurant in the B&B, and the accommodation also provides coffee, which is really thoughtful. Talking about the food, I think the price, taste, and portion are very satisfactory. The boss will also give rice wine brewed by the owner as a gift with the meal. It is sweet. I heard that you will get drunk if you drink too much. And I happened to have a sore throat, so I could only taste it briefly, otherwise I could really drink it all. Haha 😄 After a full meal, we chatted with the boss for a while and took photos. Someone happened to be going to the No. 3 observation deck. The owner of the B&B would drive him there. He was so nice, so we went with him. We didn’t want to bother the boss with running around. . It’s quite easy to walk up to the observation deck No. 3 and it won’t be strenuous. I recommend everyone to walk around and take photos. I gave the grandma there 5 yuan, and my daughter and I walked into the rice fields to take pictures. It is recommended that tourists not be too stingy, and grandma is not easy either. Because I saw some uncles breaking into other people’s rice fields and refusing to give them money. Just a few dollars, speechless ~ Halfway down the mountain, I notified the boss to pick us up and take us back to the B&B, so everything was arranged properly. We returned to the B&B and took a rest. Since we ate lunch late and barked too much, I wasn’t hungry yet. Only my daughter who didn’t eat was the hungriest one, so I asked the boss to help her cook some noodles. The boss is so nice because it's not on the menu. It was getting dark very quickly when we came back, and we had to wait until the next day to take pictures. The boss also provided free Yao clothes for guests to wear for photos. I really wanted to wear them, but it was a pity that it was dark. It would be better to wear them during the day for photos. Talking about the room itself, the B&B provided free fruits, and I actually ate them all, haha, the little apples were very fresh and the oranges were delicious. The room configuration is very considerate, with a swing and a bathtub, everything I asked for. Bathtub covers are provided🤗 But unexpectedly, it rained that night and continued until the next day. But we were lucky because we had already been to the observation deck yesterday, otherwise we would have stayed at the B&B today. After eating a rich breakfast at the B&B, we waited for our driver to pick us up and take us back to Guilin to take the train home. The driver was also a little late because it was raining and the road was slippery, and it was a winding mountain road. I heard that there had been an accident on the road, and safety was the most important thing. I will come again if I have the chance. This time I happened to go to Longji before the harvest on October 27, and I could finally see the autumn scenery and the golden terraced fields.

The hotel is very spacious, and the bed in the double room is the most spacious we have ever stayed in during our trip to Guilin. The children also went to experience fishing in the rice fields as a gift. Although they didn't catch anything, they were still very happy. The boss drove to the Dazhai parking lot to pick us up. He also stopped to show us the scenery and take photos for us. The only drawback is that their food is a bit expensive. In the evening, they ordered bamboo tube chicken, which cost 88 yuan for a small tube. For breakfast, two bowls of noodles and one bowl of noodles cost 50 yuan. After all, renting a set of clothing nearby only costs 30 yuan for an unlimited time.
