However, please note that the name of the hotel name is “Samphel Dhondup Hotel”, and it is located near the southern corner of 腾志路, Tengzhi Road, near the Monastery Ticket Centre and the river. This was confusing upon arrival. The heated floors were extremely hot, and not able to be turned off. Our room was a sauna, despite being -4°c outside (we had our window open the whole time). Hopefully this can be fixed. Breakfast was small but we were here during the offseason.

The lobby is cute and you can have coffee in the little coffee area behind the reception. My husband who took summer jobs when he was growing up in Italy showed the manager how to properly use her fancy coffee machine. ☕️😅 We found breakfast around the corner in a local place but looks like Nirvana next door was serving good western fare.
