We checked out on 9/16 after a 5 night stay. The gentleman wearing black shirt unfortunately was not the embodiment of warm hospitality, especially in a place like Sedona. Presumably he did everything by the book, which was fine, but certainly did not improve the reputation for this property. We booked this place for 2 reasons, proximity to the conference place which we flew in for, and it’s part of Marriott which we are of Titanium elite status. If you are looking to stay here because of your status, and are expecting some sort of status related perks, forget it. We didn’t really get any perk, no breakfast, no room upgrade (hotel’s not busy), we did get a room facing the mountains so not sure if that’s what they called “an upgrade”. No guaranteed 4pm late check out, and we only got some daily 10 dollar vouchers per person per room, not good for anything anywhere except for the bar onsite, and they close for lunch. No daily housekeeping either, only once every other day. The hotel lobby decor is quite pleasant, match the Sedona vibe, a nice outdoor area with a decent pool. Small gym, but better than not having one, and they also have a coin laundry. The room itself is fine, overlooking the mountains, has a small fridge and a microwave. Other amenities that a higher end hotel would offer is not available in this property. Overall an alright hotel, but I would suggest looking around more for other options.

Magical location. Super clean and updated rooms. Phenomenal staff that are accommodating, professional and hospitable. Breathtaking vistas. Our room was awesome but our water wasn’t getting hot. There was an issue with the hot water heater. The manager, Megan, took care of us and we were compensated.. she also gave us a bottle of wine. There’s an outdoor patio that has happy hour from 4pm-6pm. 50% off beer and wine. Very lovely experience. You can walk to the Mesa Grille ( very close) for wonderful meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Hotel doesn’t have food service. The front desk is open 24/7 with staff to help you. They provide complimentary fresh brewed coffee/tea, purified crystallized water and snacks from 4:30 am on. There is a free shuttle from 2pm-10pm that will bring you anywhere within a 5 mile radius. The driver Larry is awesome!!I highly recommend this slice of heaven.!
Poco Diablo Resort

This is a very nice 3+ star resort and we had an excellent experience. I read some negative reviews so I was a bit worried. Our king suites was as pictured on the website. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens. Big jetted bathtub was a pleasant surprise Really enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant. The pool was nice as well although the lounge chairs could be upgraded. When our plans changed unexpectedly hotel staff was helpful and allowed us a late checkout Location is good as well. Close to the downtown Sedona shops and restaurants but far enough away the enjoy the night sky.

Nothing bad to say, the rooms are stunning and clean, the staff was very accommodating and kind. Beautiful property and many pools throughout the resort for ppl to use. I would come again My only wish is that there were more plates to accommodate the number of guests and utensils.
Matterhorn Inn

Had a fantastic one-night stay at the Matterhorn Inn while driving from Phoenix to Salt Lake City. The hotel is a perfect example of a refurbished roadside motel done to absolute perfection - supremely clean + comfortable updated rooms with nice lighting, plush bed, sparkling clean room + bathroom, excellent shower. Excellent bang for your buck in the overpriced hotel scene in and around town. 100% recommend for your stay in Sedona.
