We ate breakfast and it was great as expected. Our room was a little different. There was thick dust at the top of the ceilings and around the floor. The lights were dirty to touch. The comforter had an orange food stain as well as the pillow had something red spilled onto it. We got there late, so we just dealt with it. As far as checking into the hotel, When I was on this app, it was originally $49 for a king size, then jumped to $69 for 2 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 toddler. I had already prepaid as well. Then I got to the front desk and they wanted to charge me $20 more for the teenager. I even showed him I put it down on the reservation, then he printed me out a receipt telling me I did not. I was about to sleep in my car. He said since my husband was a veteran, (he seen it on the license) he said just don’t worry about it.

Do you love the sound of loud semi-trucks and cars rolling by your room at all hours of the night and day? If you do then this hotel is for you! All the rooms with odd numbers are facing the interstate! You will hear traffic rolling by all the time! There are a lot of surrounding hotels nearby, several restaurants and gas stations. Some hotels are not as close to the interstate as this one is. Our room was on the 4th floor facing interstate 24 and smelled like **** in the bathroom. The smell was definitely coming from the room below our room. Our room was a king studio and we stayed on a pretty busy Wednesday night in the middle of May. The room had a separate living area with loveseat and tv. The king size bed was soft and comfortable. The bathroom was large with a bathtub. The shower had ok water pressure and I liked the metal shower head. This shower head you also use to see at many ihg hotel locations. Despite the Highway noise, we did sleep pretty good. This was thanks to us bringing a small fan to drown out the noise! The carpets in the rooms were stained in parts of the carpet. Overall, the room and bathroom was fairly clean. The breakfast isn’t anything special. A make your own waffle machine, oatmeal, apples, bananas, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs. The coffee was pretty good for hotel coffee. My suggestion would be to not eat breakfast at this hotel. There are several restaurant breakfast options nearby. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.
Holiday Inn Paducah Riverfront

Perfect location. We had a decent room with a nice balcony overlooking the river. We enjoyed our time on the balcony reading and watching the river traffic. Easy and safe walk to downtown Paducah and their many restaurants/shopping. The help, particularly at the front desk was awesome. Unfortunately I don't remember his name but the tall red headed guy that checked us in was able to answer all our questions and had suggestions for restaurants, etc. He went above and beyond his duties. When we pulled into the parking lot the hotel from the street is not appealing but the river view was wonderful and we didn't encounter any personnel that were not pleasant and helpful. Actually they all seemed happy to be there and wanting to make guest experiences pleasant.

Holiday Inn has stepped up their game. It felt more like a boutique hotel than a chain. The decor in the lobby (I love the funky green velvet chairs!) and our room was very nice. The bed and pillows were great, towels were big, thick and thirsty. They do have an indoor pool but we did t have time to use it. There was a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave and a small fridge. What I appreciated the most was on every floor there were recycling bins. That appealed to my tree hugging self! The staff were absolutely incredible. Adriana, checked us in. She was wonderful and very friendly. . When we checked out, Karen ( def not a “Karen”) and Tyrese were great so a big shout out to them and the entire staff. . We really felt welcome there. The whole town of Paducah is pretty cool. Lots of cool art and vintage/antique stores. Everyone we met was a joy and the city itself was so clean. If I ever come back to Paducah I will absolutely stay here again. And, then I’ll make sure to use the saltwater pool.

Stayed here while on our trip south. It was late, called ahead. We were just about an hour out and their computers were down but held our rooms for us. We were tired and very glad for the clean and comfortable room to sleep. Everyone was super nice!! Breakfast was great! Thanks for the stay.

Nice big rooms with separate sitting area. Two televisions, one in each area. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our last night stay on this trip. I like the split bathroom concept. Breakfast was conventional hotel breakfast. The staff was nice at check in. I didn't see anyone at check out. We slept pretty good although they were giving tornado warnings.
