Hilton Club the Central at 5th New York
4.6/5108 Reviews
Times Square
The location is good, within walking distance of Fifth Avenue, Times Square, and Rockefeller Plaza. The service is OK, you can text the front desk to deliver anything you need, but there is no daily cleaning service for stays under 5 nights. The room is comfortable and spacious.
Sonder the Dutch

LaGuardia Airport Area
Overall, we had a good stay at Sonder. First impressions of the room were not the best but we started to appreciate the facilities offered here as our stay went on. When we checked out, Travis asked for constructive feedback and was very keen to hear our comments which really changed the way I viewed my overall stay here. These are our overall thoughts: +The view is even better than I thought it would be - clear views of the Empire State Building, Chrysler and Summit One. +We booked room 706 which is the best room in the building with a huge outdoor space - you just don't get space like this in many places in New York without spending a lot of money. +The neighbourhood was quiet and felt safe at night. +The basement area is huge and offers a lot of space to relax, eat, change etc. plus there is free luggage storage meaning you don't miss out on time in New York (free of charge and big enough for a large suitcase). +No waste of items as you can collect these from the basement (coffee pods, toiletries and toilet rolls). +Just a 5 minute easy walk to the subway station and then it's only 10/15 minutes into Grand Central. It's just peaceful and a bit of a breath of fresh air from hectic Manhattan. +Nice bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. +No Resort Fee! +Surprisingly, the reception was staffed whenever we walked by and we arrived at 4am. Very friendly. +Great communication via the app. It made me a little nervous being so reliant upon this but I never had to wait more than a few minutes to get a response. Tiana was really quick at coming back to me about check-in, thank you! +Nice toiletries in the room - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion and soap (although the soap could have been in a hand pump). +The in-room facilities - microwave, safe (free), coffee machine, kettle, TV and hairdryer (although this was really dusty and I chose to clean this before using it as it seemed a bit of a health and safety risk!). +Good overall value for New York. -The room really needed a bit more of a clean. There was a lot of dust on certain surfaces although other parts of the room looked spotless. I don't think I have ever stayed in a room with as much dust. The balcony also had a really dirty table, which I had to clean, and a paper plate stuffed between our balcony and the next. The sealant on the balcony was black in places and half hanging off which didn't look great. There was also a missing cover on our smoke alarm. -It seemed noisy when people were coming up to our floor and moving around the hallways. It was like the doors were paper thin but fortunately, other guests were quiet once in the room but I did need my earplugs. -The communal outdoor spaces/roof terraces needed a bit of a clean and tidy but offer great views. -We had the best room but it was still small. We could just about open our cases but then had one small clothes rail and the shallowest drawers you've seen - this is absolutely impractical an
Courtyard New York JFK Airport
4/5119 Reviews
John F. Kennedy International Airport Area
The reason for choosing the airport is that the hotel is very close to the airport, and the hotel driver is also very enthusiastic. He comes to pick up and drop off the airport. The service is also very good. I am satisfied! Will choose this one in the future!
The Wall Street Inn
4.2/5106 Reviews
Wall Street/Financial District
The hotel room has a smell, the building is outside construction, there is no scenery, the door face is too small to find, breakfast is a can sing coffee, but the advantage is that the service is good, it looks like a very traditional family hotel The price is also suitable.
Moxy NYC Lower East Side
4.2/5105 Reviews
Chinatown/Little Italy
I have lived in NYC 20 years, and occasionally, we like to play tourist in our own city. My husband and I decided to stay a night at the Moxy LES in celebration of my 40th birthday. I even talked another couple who were celebrating with us into getting a room too. I chose this location as I saw the beautiful roof bar advertised and thought it’d be fun to start our night with a cocktail on the roof with a few friends before setting out to my main celebration elsewhere. Having stayed at several other similar hotels in town like Sixty LES, I never had an issue grabbing a cocktail at the rooftop bar. This was not the case here. I arrived with a group of 7 to head to the Highlight Room at around 7pm (wayyy before the nightlife rush!), and was told I had “priority” as a guest of the hotel, but first I had to commit to spending $350 for us to come up. Don’t advertise your bars as an amenity of the hotel if they are not freely accessible to guests. What if my friends just wanted a nice lemonade and to check out the view?? I guess they’re not welcome or that’s a lot of lemonade we’d have to buy! Just to note: Loosie’s, the club in the basement of the hotel with the “no-attitude dancefloor” — to quote the hotel website — is notoriously snooty at the door, and guests of the hotel are not prioritized for entry there either. We had other plans that night so didn’t even bother, but word to the wise. As for the room: Yes, they’re small. Expected in NYC, and was fine for us since we were only staying 1 night, but I would not want to stay here longer than a couple days. There is no real closet. Just a few hangers on a bar on the wall (some under the television!) so your clothes kind of have to hang flat against the wall. There are cubbies under the bed for storage. Not ideal in such a tight space. I stubbed my toe on them more than once. Maybe I’m clumsy or maybe it’s just a bad design! The light situation is super weird. I don’t know if our lighting was accidentally installed incorrectly, but in order to turn the bathroom light on, you had to have the main room light on. The main room light could be turned on separately. So basically, if you needed to go in the middle of the night, you either had to pee in the dark or turn on the lights of the whole room while your partner is sleeping! (Possible we didn’t see another light switch somewhere but I’m pretty sure the only switches were 2 by the door.) Toiletries: The shower had 2 pump bottles (sustainable. I respect that!) — but one was filled with a shampoo/body wash combo — and the other conditioner. I would expect something a bit more luxe even for a 4 star hotel — and certainly a separate shampoo and body wash! There was no lotion, which is usually standard in even the Holiday Inn. There was one small bar of soap for hand washing. No places to hang towels. I had to throw mine over the top of the shower door. Towels were pretty scratchy too. They do have a steamer and hair dryer. Bless! There was no fridge
