Days Inn by Wyndham Kill Devil Hills Oceanfront - Wilbur

The stay was great. The location is terrific if you like the beach. The staff were all friendly and professional, nothing like an experience I had in Denver at a Best Western Premier, there the manager Ashley is the worst. So unprofessional avoid that hotel if you are going to Denver. Here at the comfort inn the room was large and clean, the. Ed was comfortable and linens were all fine. I’d stay here again and recommend this to family and friends.
Wingate by Wyndham Kill Devil Hills NC

This location was perfect for our large group of friends and family! If you stay here, you'll be directly on the beach with a short walk through the dunes, there's a lifeguard station house DIRECTLY next door, an incredible gas station/ souvenir shop/ sandwich shop/ fishing gear/ EVERYTHING shop! This spot is centrally located, a short drive from EVERYTHING Wright brothers related, and there's a pool with a decked stage area for small events and gatherings. The location was previously renovated, and the rooms are VERY spacious, with a huge living room apart from the bedroom. The hotel was clean, inside and out, and the staff were tremendously accommodating and friendly. I WILL be back to visit this incredible coast again, and I will absolutely be staying at the KDH Wingate!
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Nags Head Oceanfront

The view is amazing!!! The food was good and the rooms are clean. But the staff….the friendliest I’ve ever experienced. Stone and Tami (restaurant) gave helpful tips on meals and even advising us to get a warmed coffee mug —that’s detail! A very special shout out to Christi and Amberlyn who fixed my messed up reservation and saved my 25th Anniversary. I can’t thank them enough for their patience. I will always remember their kindness.

Right on the beach. Nice pool area with a child's pool connected to the main. We had some rain and wind for 2 days so the pool temp dropped and was quite cold so we went and wade in the ocean instead of swimming. There is an open grassy area with picnic tables but no bbq but you can bring a small hibachi to use. Our room was small but we didn't use but just to sleep at night. The breakfast was good but they never change up the selection. When it is busy, they run out of the omelets and sausage. They don't do much to keep the area clean and stocked during the breakfast. The person working it also cleans rooms so they do not have a dedicated employee that just does breakfast and the one there seems annoyed that they are there. I was impressed overall by this hotel. The rooms were newly remodeled and very clean. We had new linens on the bed and new towels in the bath. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are on a budget. Great location. The concerns I previously spoke of are minor and should not stop you from staying here. There is no elevator. I have included some outside shots and a beautiful sunrise I took our last morning on the beach right at the hotel.
John Yancey Oceanfront Inn

It is an older hotel but very well maintained. Our room was great and had a retro vibe to it. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everything in the room was in good working order with no complaints except for a squeaky bathroom door. The breakfast was more than adequate (waffles, hard boiled eggs, breads and pastries, cereal, fruit and excellent coffee). Room 114 was across from the pool and had a small kitchen. We loved being able to walk to the ocean from the observation deck. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Outer Banks.
Cypress House Inn

My husband and I had a great stay at the Cypress House. Veda and Bill were the best hosts. They were very welcoming, informative, and attentive to our needs. The rooms were clean and cozy. I loved the wrap around porch and the backyard is absolutely gorgeous. It was so nice waking up to breakfast each morning and conversing with other guests. I highly recommend checking this beautiful house out if you are looking for a location super close to the beach. We will definitely be back soon.
