I booked my room with Agoda, and when I showed her my reservation number, she claimed that it was not paid. She forced me to pay the room. After a few days, I saw that that they withdraw money from my account from Agoda and from the hotel. I have called the hotel and they confirmed that they made a mistake but apparently, they are not going to educate that receptionist who worked there in Friday at 8 pm (2019-09-20). I got the feeling that the receptionist did it deliberately. The consequence is that I and the hotel has to clean up this mess. The hotel has to pay a full refund of their mistake and I have to check the currency change and require additional refund from the hotel.

The hotel re-opened in Feb 2022 after being closed for 18 mo. For renovation. The hotel has old charm and is contemporary I it’s look. Spacious sitting/ gathering area areas on the main floor, our room was most comfortable with up to date features. The Front desk staff was very pleasant and patient helping me sort out bus and train tickets. The restaurant was well priced , we enjoyed a delicious Swedish traditional dinner . Great location for walking around the town.

I made a reservation and when I got there there was nobody to open the door except a guest who wouldn’t open. So I kept calling in the freezing cold but of course they were happily elsewhere and would not answer. I had to reserve another hotel room and pay the difference as it was at night and didn’t have any options. By the time this ordeal finished it was past 1am. They decided not to excuse themselves or pay the diffference between the two rooms. They need to urgently state that they do not have reception past certain hours and get the person who is supposed to be answering calls in out of hour times to get their act together. I Cannot reccomend this place.
