Modern, clean apartment with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We had daily cleaning of the apartment ”exchange of bath towels, cleaning of counters, floors and garbage collection. Some aspects that could improve, It has no magic wand, toaster, sponges and dishwashing liquid.

Intended to be a happy return visit after some years turned into a hugely disappointing experience for myself and my wife. Hotel is certainly not 5 star compared to others in Portugal; - bedroom acceptable but bathroom needs work on water egress from under bath after showers - toilet tissue seems to be rationed. Breakfast hot buffet not very enticing but selection of fruit and cereals fine. Two restaurant options available for evening meals - bar food or one other depending on the day of the week! Bar food menu very limited and the main restaurant very overpriced. Food quality acceptable. In general and with a couple of exceptions, we found that staff were a tad rude/abrupt on occasions (reception, night bar floor staff and golf shop in particular). Golf: Having obviously suffered from a very hot summer the course was in appalling condition with fairways and rough indistinguishable on some holes. The greens were also in very poor condition. The bad state of the course was sad to see as previous experience was so positive. We did however play one other nearby course where the greens were magnificent and fairways passable so I don’t accept Penina claim that nothing could prevent the poor state of their course given the summer weather. BTW, weather was bad!

Beautiful property right on Praia da Rocha. Excellent service at check-in, was given a quick tour of the lobby and room by a wonderful gentleman. Beautiful and tidy room, stunning view from balcony, though the small bathroom window opens into the corridor and at times there is an unpleasant odour from a pipe in the toilet. Breakfast was adequate and delicious, staff were helpful and nice. Overall a great place to stay!

Clean and modern building. This apartment has a great lobby and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The units are also extremely clean and have a lot of closet space. The beach, restaurants and shopping center were all within a 10 minute walk from our apartment. I highly recommend it. Just remember you don’t have the view of the ocean, but as I said the water is just around the corner from the building.

Nice hotel just beside the Ocean with a brilliant pathways for walk and straight to the town too. Location just perfect. Breakfast amazing. Friendly customer service. If you are looking at this hotel then make sure you book it, you will not be disappointed. We arrived, went to our rooms and were very impressed how modern, clean, and well-presented they were. The views at the front of the hotel are stunning, looking over the amazing Alvor and the sunsets are breathtaking. The staff are unbelievable, we had a small issue that was resolved immediately, and the manager could not do enough to help. We had two big birthdays to celebrate whilst we were there which the management also made very special. You get everything you need whenever you need it at the bar in reception, the pool bar is spot on, and the pool is lovely with brand new sun loungers for everyone. The breakfast room is great with lots of windows and light, plenty of good quality food to cater for all. The staff at breakfast and at the pool are really friendly. A big shout for Kateryna she was great. You are only a few short steps away from lots of narrow winding streets with beautiful shops, restaurants, and bars so the location is prefect. Alvor is amazing and so is this hotel, like I said at the beginning make sure you book it, and the staff will make sure you have a fantastic stay.
