Meaco Royal Hotel- Lucena

This hotel part of the NOVOTEL chain I believe asI always booked with them any chance When I travel although some hotel location seems not properly maintained, although this location in Lucena is a great deal, they have elevator service, the room is cleaned and wide big bed firm and pillows firm comfortable, had a table lamp ac is split type so it’s quiet and working, enough size bathroom, wide hallway, My only dislike is that they don’t provide water and hot water or kettle for a coffee, they have a water dispenser in the ground floor of which charge 10 pesos per refill and 10 pesos if you ask a hot water to deliver to your room although you can get a free hot water in dispenser had to bring your own mug or cup. The staff are very strick on policy regarding the time check in and check out if you want to ask for a extension 200 pesos per hour. Other than that I cannot complain the comfortable they bring. Very quiete during the night.

The room was clean and spacious enough for my mom and I. The bed was especially comfortable and location of the hotel was topnotch - right in the middle of Lucena. Would definitely stay here again when I’m in Lucena.

The W O R S T E V E R. This hotel was filthy. The entire place is in disrepair. The walls were filthy, the floors Washington, there was no shower curtain, the water took 15 minutes to get hot and we could not survive more than one night. We were happy to run away from this hotel and find a real hotel up the road. When we asked for our money back they offered us an upgrade. Upgrade from horrible is still horrible… Keep the money, no thanks. Do you have other options in the areas such as hotel Rosita which is clean and roughly the same amount of money. You don’t have to stay in this type of Turkish prison surrounding. The front staff was rude and arrogant and dismissive. I am happy never ever to go back to this hotel. I would suggest to anyone that wants to have a good night rest not to go to this disgusting, horrible place.

We stayed at the hotel from August 24 to 27, 2019. With the exception of one receptionist, all hotel staff terribly need to learn about customer service. 1st night, we stayed at Room 401. It was old and needs few renovation and cleaning. Our 2nd and 3rd night was at Room 301. The good receptionist informed us that it is a very good room because it is newly renovated. First two days’ buffet breakfast was plain. I even saw a small cockroach inside the pineapple juice pitcher. Third day breakfast is ala carte. All restaurant staff NEEEDS TO BE TAUGHT WHAT AT LEAST GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE MEAN. Reason being, they do not pause to talk with me to answer about my inquiry about the juice. There was loud music playing that gave an ambiance of a cheap hotel. I know for a fact that this is not a four or five star rated hotel. But still, all staff must act like they are working in a hotel and not just regular fastfood place.
2205 Suites

Our family spent a night at 2205 Suites when we were heading from Tobaco City to Villa Escudero. We checked in very late at 11 PM at night and the check in process included picking one of the three rice dishes for breakfast. They also offer welcome drink like a 5-star hotel but the options are limited to black tea and coffee. It is my recommendation for the hotel to cut this offer because it really does not match the segment of this hotel and offers no additional value to the customer. Leaving some tea bags and coffee in the hotel room would be sufficient. The room is spacious with pretty new kitchen with appliance. The bathroom is also structured nicely; the standing shower is separated from the toilet and water from shower won't spill to the toilet area. The only complaint is that the water is lurk warm (or cold in my standard). Given that it was almost mid-night, I didn't bother to call the front desk. Just took a quick shower and slept for the night. Our room faced an open field and I truly enjoyed the view of looking at the river, coconut trees, and the playing cows. It is a hotel in a countryside and that is what I want.
